Marvel Vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes Review

First Let's clear up some of the bad reviews of this game. No you can't change partners in VS mode but this can be done in Crossover mode so it's really no big deal if you ask me. I've play the arcade version and most of the combos were saved and put in the playstation version. This game isamazing and addicted. The gameplay is furious and the graphics areexcellent and are not that far off dreamcast's. The game is great for comicbook junkies like me who use to argue in their youth over who would winSpiderman or The Hulk? These game has alot of eye candy and with verydifferent settings to battle thru. The sound in this game is clear. Pleasedon't listen to the bad reviews or you are gonna miss out on a greatgame. Plus there is no blood in this game so it makes it perfect to playwith the kids

This is the best playing bridge computer game out there, I gave one to my father and he says he hasn't had so much fun since he started playing Tertis for the first time!
As always big publishers like Victory Mulimedia are making a lot of errors when describing most of their products. The Bridge Baron Express has 500 deals + about 700 tournament deals, not 53 octillion deal as stated in the description above and only works on Windows computers, not Macs.

Shadow Hearts: Covenant Review

Shadow Hearts: Covenant
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Until the release of Shadow Hearts II - Covenant, 2004 has been a very dry year for fantasy gamers. Not that there have ever been a really good year for the genre, Fantasy RPG games.Good fantasy of the class of the Final Fantasy series is difficult and costly to produce, and somply doesn't have the market share that other types of games command.Which is why Covenant is such a surprise.

The original Shadow Hearts was a strong, gothic game featuring Yuri and Alice as their adventures sprawled across Asia and Europe.A solid plot, interesting battle system and good art and animation made the game into a closet success. It wasn't as great as the FFX 10's and lacked the addictive play of the .hack series. But it was a game well worth playing.

Covenant, which picks up the story of Yuri after the death of Alice is an order of magnitude better. The plot, which fills two disks is full of intricate twists and turns as Yuri and a pretty German lieutenant (Karin) start a journey to find a new evil that is leading early 20th century Europe into war. These to gradually accumulate a glittering cast that includes Geppetto, his doll Cornelia, Joachim the vampire wrestler, a Russian princess, a white wolf and even more. The go from France to England and Russia and then back to Japan as well.In this huge geography the cast unearths layer after layer of evil. Each time the apparent cause is defeated another is found to be pulling the strings.

All of the characters come to life thanks to an excellent script and use of cut scene. Each gets to star, but Joachim steals the show with a genuinely funny performance. Pompous, perpetually showing of his muscles and still genuinely likeable, he has a knack for using things like frozen tuna and skyscrapers as weapons. And each time he discovers one we get a new comical cut scenes. But all of the characters have surprising wit and warmth, and each has their own panoply of accessories, special skills, and weapons. Most of the subplots of the game involve character improvement.

Art and animation are in keeping with the level of the plot.Hours of cut scenes, many remarkable settings, and a huge cast of villains and monsters keep your eyes on the scene, often desperately looking for the next magical item needed to advance the plot and clues to the next puzzle.

The fighting system uses a wheel with sensitive areas. You have to strike the areas to initiate an attack. It quickly becomes intuitive, and the player can tune the wheel to enable various feats and displays of skill.Expect your right thumb to get a serious workout.

This game comes in a very close second to the best of Final Fantasy.Certainly, if you like the one, you will like the other as well.I managed to get completely distracted by Covenant for something like 90 hours. You can finish in less, but the subplots are an important part of the game - winning is less important to me than taking the grand tour.If you've been waiting for something worth spending money on, this is it.Be warned, the dialog is a bit bawdy - definitely teen and up.

On replay -

I was surprised how well the game held up the second time through.this time I played through Shadow Hearts 1 and the through Covenant.Be warned, while the Japanese version does know that a completed first game was on the card, the US version doesn't seem to.In neither case does Covenant recognise that a player actually managed to get to the 'good' ending of SH1.Neither of these are biggies, though. On this time through I was in better control of the complex play system and managed to run a fairly logical game without a lot of backtracking.

Again I was struck by the high level of story telling, and by the amount of innuendo (and worse). This is a game that really is appealing to someone looking for a richer experience than other RPG's offer.

Amplitude Review

Amplitude
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Amplitude is a music game which is unique in the fact that it uses songs from established artists - some you most certainly have heard. If you are familiar with music games you would be at home here - the music plays and you perform a part by "playing" the controller while the "music" moves by on the screen. It is the sequel to a game called Frequency and some of this review compares this game to that one.
The game also allows you to remix songs but I did not get into that on Frequency and again fail to find it enjoyable. Also the head-to-head mode of this game is kind of strange - the single player is much more enjoyable in my opinion.
One of the best parts about Frequency was getting introduced to groups I hadn't heard before and hopefully some of these artists will turn out the same. The music in Amplitude is a mix of familiar and unfamiliar artists.Strangely it seems to be harder to play the songs that I know (Weezer - Dope Nose or Blink 182 - Rock Show) than songs I haven't heard before. Some of my favorite songs on Amplitude are Baseline by Quarashi, Cherry Libs by Garbage, and Urban Tumbleweed by the Baldwin Brothers. Ultimately I feel like somehow these artists were picked to promote them for Sony - I wish there were more variety of tracks.
Amplitude is easier to beat than Frequency was - there are 4 difficult modes (Mellow, Normal, Brutal, and Insane) and I started on Brutal when I first got it and played through in about 2 1/2 hours. The expert mode of Frequency was much more difficult.Easy mode is easy enough for my 6 year old to play.
I would have been happy with the Frequency base game with new music - what Sony needs to do in the future is modify this game with new music every 3 to 6 months and rerelease it for $20 or so. Much of the effort in the sequel seems to have gone into the system that allows you to create your own "guy" and as you play you unlock new clothes - whatever.Your guy sort of plays along with you - if you are on a guitar track he plays guitar and when you play drums he switches to drums.
A final word about the music.I love 4-letter words in my music as much as anybody but while I enjoyed playing Frequency with my kids, some of the songs in Amplitude have bleeped out words and are about mature subjects - and some words that in my opinion should be bleeped aren't.

Quest for Glory 5: Dragon Fire Review

Quest for Glory 5: Dragon Fire
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The entire Quest for Glory series is awesome, especially if you played the games as they came out and the graphics were state of the art for that time.
QFG gives you the options of playing the game through 3 types ofcharacters. You can be a fighter, magic user and thief. Later, in QFG 2,you can become a paladin and any imported character can become a paladin. In fact, QFG5 gives you a saved paladin character! Each character hasdifferent skills and solutions to the problems around him.
Plus, you canstart with one character in QFG1 and build up his skills and then use thatsame character to play any of the following games. It is easier to do thissince the entire series is available. QFG1-4 is packaged together in acollection, while QFG5 is sold separately.
There are mulitple cheats thatyou can find online, along with descriptions of the silly clowns in thegame. There is also a place where you can download saved games to play asElsa or Magmum.
My only point of contention with QFG5 is the multitude ofprevious characters. While it is nice to see them, the fact that there areso many irritates me. I would prefer meeting new and uniquecharacters.
Quest for Glory 5, I hear, is the last of the series. I dobelieve that some fans are trying to create their own QFG game.
Anyways,if you haven't played this game, I recommend that you try. If you have, another series I recommend is the King Quest series.

Empire Earth Review

Empire Earth
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I can still remember when I played the original AGE OF EMPIRES, wondering to myself if they would be able to make the same general strategy game using modern weaponry. As I loved the original AE, I held out hope that they would someday be able to pull it off.
Well, there is no reason to wonder anymore:our friends at SIERRA have done it. EMPIRE EARTH and its expansion set (both included in EE GOLD) takes us all the way from the dawn of mankind up thru the modern age and even into the future with spaceship and robotic battles and the like.
For myself, the most satisfying component of the game is being able to play with modern-day weapons. Build tanks, artillery and various troops for huge land battles.Build air-forces with fighters and bombers.Build navies with submarines, aircraft carriers, battleships and frigates.
Your civilians form the backbone of your military apparatus as they're the ones who collect the necessary resources (i.e.:wood, food, gold, stone, iron, etc) for your campaigns. You're the one in charge;how you utilize your resources is up to you.If you fail, you're the one who is accountable. If you are victorious, you're the one who deserves all the accolades and glory!
The most remarkable thing about the game for me is its symmetry. There is no one single "unstoppable" weapon in your arsenal. The most powerful weapon is the B-52, with which you can nuke your enemies. However, you had better protect it with great care;send it by itself on long-range bombing sorties and it's sure to be shot down by enemy fighters, anti-aircraft batteries or soldiers with STINGER missiles.
You may create TRIDENT submarines with powerful cruise missiles that can strike targets deep inland. However, these submarines are also the easiest for your enemies to sink:protect them at all costs!
Apache helicopters are devastating against tanks and other land targets, but are highly vulnerable to STINGERS and are downright helpless against enemy jet fighters. Jet fighters are susceptible to the fierce fire of anti-aircraft batteries. However, anti-aircraft batteries are hapless against tanks. All units have their strong points, and all units have their weaknesses, be they ground, sea or air.
If you like strategy games, I cannot recommend EE enough. If you like building armies, blowing stuff up and upgrading the prowess of your military, this is certainly the game for you.Just beware:it's about the most addictive game you will ever play!

Black & White 2: Battle of Gods Expansion Pack Review

Black & White 2: Battle of Gods Expansion Pack
Average Reviews:

This expansion pack provides a few new items to build around your city and provides three more maps to conquer. If it weren't for the fact that Black & White 2 was so addictive to begin with, this would be a really disappointing product. If you're looking for skirmish or multiplayer action, this expansion is not for you.In fact, this expansion is probably only for the purely addicted players, and even then, it only amounts to a little over two hours' worth of play time.

As a side note, the custom maps that you can design with Lionhead's map editor or download from various fan sites do not work with this expansion, which means that you can use the new items in only the three maps provided with this expansion.

Product Description:
Who, if we are being honest, hasn't wanted to be a god now and again, if only for a little while? Black & White 2: Battle of the Gods once again makes you into a nameless god whose very existence depends upon having devoted worshippers. Predictably, Black & White 2 picks up after the events of the original Black & White. Just when you thought you had gotten Eden under control, the Aztecs raise a new undead god through huge numbers of human sacrifices, complete with an army of undead skeletons and an undead new creature to lead them.

There are two new creatures to choose from, which brings the total number of creature options to six. View larger.

Send your creature into the fray to defeat the enemy god's undead creatures. View larger.

Who hasn't wanted to be a god now and again, if only for a little while? View larger. As before, you must crush this rival god on various isles by nurturing your followers and building a flourishing civilization that lets you either convince the Aztec god's followers to defect to your side, or allows you to take them over militarily.
The core gameplay in this expansion remains pretty much unchanged from Black & White 2, though you do get a few new islands to battle it out on, some of which are actually huge when compared to those seen in the original. If you still have any old games saved, you can actually import your creature from Black & White 2. But don't fret if you either didn't play or didn't keep any old games on your hard-drive, as this expansion lets both old and new players hit the ground running. First, you select a starting package that is either good or evil, which will give you a variety of miracles and bonuses. You can also elect to start off as neutral and fine-tune your own starting package if you know specifically what kinds of things you want. There are two new creatures to choose from as well, which bring the total number of creature options to six. Whether you import an existing creature or start anew, you'll begin Battle of the Gods with a ton of tribute points that allow you to purchase the buildings and powers you will start with.
It is easy to improve the cities of your followers, as virtually the whole game can be played without messing with the keyboard. The mouse allows you to do pretty much everything, from laying out cities to picking up and dropping citizens around the map. The Battle of the Gods expansion includes a handful of new buildings that add a few more tactical options, such as a blacksmith that can upgrade your soldiers and hospitals, letting you save the manna you would normally spend on healing for use on other miracles. The mouse also allows you to punish or reward your creature for its behavior at the click of a button, so you can quickly train it to do what you want, from fertilizing fields with its manure to knocking down enemy walls.
It's possible in Black & White 2: Battle of the Gods to simply assimilate your enemies' followers peacefully by building a city of such grandeur that they want to defect. However, the sheer size of some of these maps can make this a long and drawn-out process, since you would require such a huge and impressive city. And besides, who really wants to be a completely peaceful and benevolent god? Instead you send your creature into the fray to defeat the enemy god's undead creature and crush the Aztec armies, thereby letting loose the platoons you have been building in order to seize and capture defenseless Aztec towns.
One other change is the addition of more mini-game challenges that you can pursue for additional tribute points, and which let you unlock new buildings and powers. These challenges provide short diversions from the main focus of the game, as you solve puzzles, participate in ice curling, target practice on zombies with lightning bolts, and more. Whether you pursue a peaceful or militaristic approach, you'll find that it'll take you hours of enjoyable gameplay to get through each map, and, especially for those of you who already loved the unique world and gameplay of Black & White 2, that is all that need be said.

The Incredible Hulk Review

The Incredible Hulk
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
While not perfect by any means, this GBA adaption of the The Incredible Hulk sucessfully captures the feel of the comic, and is better than it's home console bretheren.Played on an isometric point of view, you control The Hulk through 33 huge levels while walloping on the military and an array of tanks, missles, and other baddies. As you progress, you gain new abilities and attack combinations; meaning that you must play through the game aggressively to succeed. Also, many puzzle elements are involved, and while some are typical (a la flip to switch to keep going), it adds a more intelligent depth to the game instead of just bashing everything in sight.Boss battles are difficult as well, requiring you to strategize your attacks; all of this makes The Hulk much better than expected.Although the fighting elements can wear thin, there is still a bit of replay value to be had here with link cable abilities that add to the fun.The graphics are nicely rendered (and are almost reminiscent of the Hulk game released for 16 bit systems years ago), but don't push the system to it's limits. All in all, The Hulk is one of the better comic licensed games to be released for the GBA, which, along with the earlier released Iron Man, is better than Daredevil and X-Men: Reign of Apocalypse. Also recommended is Activision's Spider-Man games for the GBA which are nothing short of great.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines Review

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
There's something uniquely satisfying about being evil.Evil gets to play with the best toys, listen to the best music, wear the best clothes and generally be sinister, introspective and cool.In game terms, being evil also means that you get to do all the things that make the good guys wince, like bursting people with blood-magic or biting them in the face.Vampire - The Masquerade: Bloodlines is the latest excuse to be deliciously evil. From developer Troika the game takes advantage of both the rich heritage of White Wolf's role-playing game, and Valve's spanking new Source engine, which powers Half-Life 2; an undeniably exciting concept.

In practice the game is a thrilling merger of RPG sensibilities and frenetic, brutal action...with just a dash of stealth and lateral thinking thrown in for good measure. The player takes command of a fledgling vampire in the dangerous employ of Prince Le Croix - the vampire overlord of Los Angeles.Like any good RPG, Vampire allows you to choose an avatar for your character from a number of different models, both male and female. The species of vampire you choose will, to some extent, dictate what sort of player you'll be in the game.Action fans will probably be at home with the more physically powerful vampires such as the Brujhar, whose natural instincts for combat will confer increased power and accuracy.More conservative or cerebral players may prefer to outsmart or out-magic their opponents - there's even a chance to play as the sanity-challenged Malkavians, which leads to some unique conversations and scenarios.

You can choose to play from either the first-person, like a traditional shooter, or to view your character in the third-person, which is useful for melee combat or to judge jumps. There's no great emphasis on any one aspect of play - combat or puzzle solving - and the fact that experience points are rewarded for completing missions rather than killing enemies means that players are invited to explore as they see fit, and solve problems in a manner of their choosing. Skillful players are able to sneak past sentries, or talk their way past an opponent.Or they could just choose to pull his head off. There is a huge variety of weapons, both ranged and melee to experiment with, as well as a great implementation of `Thermaturgy' - vampire blood magic.

Like other games such as Morrowind, or semi-RPG action games like Grand Theft Auto, there are central plot missions that need to be completed in order to really progress through the game. However, the giant sandbox world that Troika has crafted means that there's seldom a dull moment in between times, and sub-missions are often just as fun and rewarding to undertake.

Visually, the game is a treat, with the Source technology really shining through. There is a realistic physics engine that allows in-game objects to react to the players' (and other characters') actions - gun fire may dislodge boxes, doors and walls can be smashed apart...in a more gruesome touch blood and viscera has a tendency to splatter and stain the environment.Aurally, the effects are crisp and detailed. There is a huge amount of spoken dialogue, with multiple variations depending on who you `are' and what you say - coupled with multiple endings this game has oodles of replay value.

System-wise, you'll need a decent rig to play this game.I've recently upgraded my system to cope with Half-Life 2, and this game runs smoothly on what I would consider mid to high settings - 32bit color depth, 1280x960 resolution, mid-range sound etc.My system is a P4 2.6 with a gig of ram and a 9600 pro graphics card.If Doom 3 proved completely unplayable on your system then you'll find this over your head as well, but the game seems a little more scaleable than Doom, with more allowance for the average machine. One thing you will need is plenty of free hard drive space - a gig+ if you like to have as much as possible on the drive.

In the spirit of great games like Deus Ex, this game is going to appeal to both straight up action and RPG gamers, as well as any fans of the 'Vampire' series, who'll flip for the great attention to detail and the immersive visuals. It's difficult to suppress a smile when you're slinking through alleys, vaulting over high walls and slitting the throats of your vampire and supernatural foes, or going in gun's blazing with your Uzi and katana combo! This is certainly not a game for either kids, or the faint hearted; but for anyone who thinks having a taste for claret and no pulse sounds cool, this is the game for you.

Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter Review

Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter
Average Reviews:

I never played the original Star Wars Starfighter so I cannot accurately compare the two games. I do know , however that Jedi Starfighter is a very good looking and fun game.
The graphics are the best thing that JS has going for it. There are over 40 ships from the relam of Star WARs (old and new). Their detail is great, and their flight patterns and movements are awesome. The coolest thing is the trailing afterburners of all the ships. Your ships lasers are very cool and they sound just like the lasers in Star Wars movies. The backgrounds are also very good pieces of artwork.
The story line in JS is set right after Phantom Menace but before the Attack of the Clones. Wlhat I really like about the story is that the writers did not try to make it like the movie, but instead set it in the world of George Lucas during a different time and place. This is smart! Movie plots are hardly ever accurately translated to game plots.
Another cool thing about JS is that you can play two players. There are five different modes for multiplayer, and get this you can play the regulary story based missions as a co-op two player journey awesome.
The story missions are the coolest to me, and you play as two different characters Adi Gallia(Jedi), and Nym who is a land owner fighting the seccessionist in Karthaak.
Like the first Starfighter, the game is not really a Star Wars game other than the flavor and the music. It is not like Rogue Squadron in that sense. But to me the controls and gameplay are better than in Rogue Squadron. You are not bound by a fake ceiling or bottom in mid-air. you have total 360 degree movemant in your planes. The weapons are ample and accrately done and Adi Gallia can perform force attacks from the cockpit.
Add to all of this the ability to unlock trailers and extra vehicles for multiplayer mode, and you have a very good game. I reccomend it to all Star Wars fans and to anyone who likes aerial shooters.

When I gave up computer gaming for the cheaper and more simple world of console gaming I had one regret- stratgy games. They are my alltime favorite form of video gaming and I knew that they were next to impossiable to find and translate on a console. The last real time stratgy game I remember on a console was a port of Red Alert 2 on the old Playstation. When I heard LOTR Battle for Middle Earth was coming to the 360 I was hopfull but still afraid it wouldn't work- but I was happilly wrong. The controller works GREAT- not quite as good as a mouse but it is the next to the best thing. In fact one can argue that the camera control works better witht he 360 than the pc.
All that aside this is also just agreat game. It is very balanced and a lot of fun. The cpu is smart and tough and gives quite a challange to you. But of course the real deal is this game on Xbox live. It is a lot of fun and there is a lot of challange. I cannot reccomend this game enough. I just now pray that the upcoming C&C game will also be on the 360. PLEASE ea make it so.

Like many who have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of Thrones and Patriots, I played a social-life crippling amount of Rise of Nations when it debuted in early 2003.That's why when my co-junkie CIO barged into my office yesterday with this expansion pack I was both elated and petrified at the potential darkening of my social life that might occur if this follow-on was half as interesting as press has made it out to be.
I went home, and savagely thrust the CD into my eager drive, loading....anticipatory sweat began to bead on my backhair....loading...
Fast forward 20 minutes, and if you asked me "how is it", I wouldn't answer you. That would be my answer. Now, sitting here in my office, I'm jones'ing to run home and play again...the crackling of US Marine Machine Gun fire, screaming Persian Elephants....
So much has changed, yet thankfully, for RON lovers, the gameplay is still comfortably familiar. There are however some notable differences in this game.
First off, there are 6 new nations, 20 new unit types, and 4 new maps. But so far, the biggest difference is the ability to choose a government type...
At the Classical Age you establish a Senate and choose a government.Your choices are: Despotism, Socialism, Capitalism, Monarchy, Republic, and Democracy.Your Governmentgives your nation military and non-military bonuses, and each government type allows you to create a Patriot. The Patriot is a special unit that acts as your leader. They are produced from the Senate and give certain bonuses to units and buildings within a proximate radius of their location. What's interesting is that each of the six governments produce a Patriot unique to their type.
So in choosing government type (which give you global bonuses), you also need to balance that governments value against the unique set of Patriot bonuses. As if there weren't enough choices in Rise of Nations to begin with. But really, as I expressed in my review of RON, that's what I love so much about this game.I know of no "one way to win".Much like chess, there are counters to every efficacious strategy and tactic, "rushing", "turtleing (holing up defensively)", "age leaping"...every game must be played dynamically against your partners strategy.A "thinking mans RTS".
Needless to say, I'm thrilled.I haven't been this excited to game since I was learning Rise of Nations a little over a year ago.If you love RTS's like Civilization, you'll should pick up this habit. If you're already addicted to RON, well, your next fix is on the shelf...
I hope this was helpful.
Enjoy.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Review

Call of Duty: Black Ops

REGULAR BLACK OPS HAS ZOMBIES THE HARDENED EDITION COMES WITH THE 4 PREVIOUS BUT UPGRADED ZOMBIE MAPS FROM W@W!
The fact this is sold out goes to show just how popular zombies was in the previous call of duty. I got a little pre-release info on black ops zombies you ready for this.

I will update this review when I have more information on the four old zombie maps that come with the hardened edition.

Please search AskACapper on YouTube if you want to see some of my tips on how to reach high levels in the zombie modes!

It seems BO only comes with 2 new zombie maps and a 3rd game mode called Black OPs arcade which is a top down zombie shooter. You unlock this mode by looking down at the man menu at your hands while in the chair then press L1 7 R1 repeatedly and you'll break free.then walk over to a computer in the room press x and type DoA (Dead OPs Arcade) and enjoy the fun.

New maps include Keno Der Toten (Theater of the Dead) which is a 1940s era German theater much like the one inglorious bastards where they had the final shootout. It is definitely very cool looking and the new crawler zombies who when killed exploded leaving the green cloud that larger vision. These crawlers I believe will make their appearance in all the zombie maps. This map has a teleporter like some of the previous zombie maps and it looks like a good time.

Pro tip: on this first map save your money and open the door on the left as there is a submachine gun there. Do not buy the shotgun in the starting room as it will not give you the points you need to open doors and to progress to the power switch and a box.

Another new map is located in the Pentagon and it is called "Five". And in this map you play as JFK, Fidel Castro, Richard Nixon and some other random guy (I haven't taken the time to figure out who he is but a kinky some cabinet member). And their one-liners are hilarious. From what I know the Pentagon has three levels that use elevators to move to it looks super fun.

***Something new in this release is the quick revive perk which in the previous zombies did nothing when you played solo now revives you. And you can buy quick revive up to three times so basically of three lives in solo player zombies now and that is very cool.Plus when you are down you get Akimbo PaP handguns that are like canons!

Pro Tip:If your playing solo and the doctor comes to steal your gun just cook a frag and go down and you get akimbo pack-a-punched guns while you are being revived.then blast him and he dies quick.

Fire Sale puts a box in evey location for 30 seconds and the box only costs 10 points.Firesale Pack-A-Punch opens the PaP room & upgrades only cost 1000pt vs. 5000pts like normal.

New weapons I've seen one is the thunder gun and the other is the freeze ray. Now both undergone as I believe 12 shots with a two shot magazine. It basically shoots a pulse wave that takes out large amounts of zombies. But with only a two shot magazine is kind of limited. The other new gun that I've seen is the freeze Ray and what it does is turn the running zombies in the slow walkers for a short time. This linked with a teammate using the thunder gun could be very effective for killing large quantities of zombies at once.

The orignal maps are updated & somewhat harder.I believe these maps will be DLC soon.

Okay that's all I have so far I will update this as I know more. Please check out my YouTube channel just search AskACapper and support my custom button remapping petition that will help handicapped gamers.

I am Chuck Bittner the capper and I approve of this message!

Battlefield: Bad Company Review

Battlefield: Bad Company

I won't go into how the game performs online, in single player, etc. Others have done a fine job of that already. What I know many people want to know is if the Gold Edition is worth buying over the standard edition or not. Well, I'll try to help you decide that for yourself, but in short (and in my opinion - No).

Simply put, all you get are some videos of the multiplayer maps with some tips on how to approach each map. I had hoped for more from these videos, honestly, and I don't really think they offer much insight at all. They seem rushed more than detailed. More than likely, these will be available online somewhere if they aren't already.

You also get immediate access to five additional guns that buyers of the standard edition will need to wait until they've reached rank 25. That's cool, I guess, but not really that great of an incentive.

You also get a small fold out poster...

If you're a collector of special editions, then great - go for it. If you really don't care that much or are swaying between the two, get the regular one - this one really isn't worth the extra cash. In my case, the store I purchased the game from actually had the standard edition on sale while the GE was regular price. So I ended up paying eighteen dollars extra for these five guns, poster, and videos. In my mind, that was a poor choice. For the usual ten dollars more, I'd have been less disappointed, but still not totally satisfied.

Explanation of my star ratings: I have this edition of the game 3 stars simply because I feel the additional content wasn't worth the additional price. I gave the game itself 4 stars overall because, while I'm enjoying it a lot, it doesn't keep me as immersed as Call of Duty 4 did.

You Don't Know Jack Review

This is one of my favorite games ever! Unfortunately, the only ones they sell on Amazon are the original versions that were made for older computers. You can buy updated versions of the games that play on Windows XP from Jellyvision's YouDontKnowJack website (they created the game). Hours of entertainment. If you have an older computer and want to play the best trivia game ever made - buy this game! I believe they have made over 5 different versions over the years, even specific games all about movies, all about sports and all about TV. If you don't remember these games, you can play new, daily YDKJ on the YDKJ website and see how much you love them before you buy the older (and much longer and more fun) games.

Fullmetal Alchemist 2 Curse of the Crimson Elixir Review

Fullmetal Alchemist 2 Curse of the Crimson Elixir
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Earlier in 2005, we received Fullmetal Alchemist and the Broken Angel, which was a little game(that was actually released in Japan 2 years ago!) based on the popular anime/manga series that was a decent enough action-RPG.In it, Edward and Alphonse Elric went through an original adventure in which they met with a young girl named Armony.Despite the fact that it was fun enough(if using alchemy to turn a mailbox into a mini-tank to blow things up is wrong, I don't wanna be right), it was still a bit lacking.

Enter Fullmetal Alchemist 2: The Curse of the Crimson Elixer. The game itself actually feels much more like the anime than the first game did.The graphics now sport a cel-shaded look that perfectly captures the feel of the TV show, the in-game cutscenes actually feature voice-overs from the cast(not just the anime scenes), many more characters from the series such as Winry, Hughes, Rose, and Scar make appearances, and the game even has the TV show's 2nd opening theme, Ready Steady Go.When it comes to capturing the TV series, FMA2 gets an A+.

Combat is also a bit more fun.Ed has plenty more combos to wreck damage upon his enemies, and this time around also learns a set amound of weapons to make that allow him to do much more damage. You'll also actually have to switch between them, one weapon will actually be more useful than another. There's also many more things to transmute, and this time around there's no stupid gauge like the first game.Ed will automatically learn new transmutations for objects as he levels up, for example, he can create a bomb, then turn it into sticks of dynamite. The plot can essentially be divided into 2 parts. The first half of the game is a basic retelling of Hiromu Arkawa's series, such as the Cornello arc and the infamous incident with Shou Tucker. It's the second half of the game where the real plot comes into play, as Ed and Al battle mysterious monsters called Golems in their hometown of Resembol. It's this, as well as an encounter with a mysterious girl, that prompts them to investigate.Their search eventually leads them to Jack Crowley, who looks like the long-lost twin brother of Final Fantasy 7's Sephiroth. The guy's a bit off the deep end, and his goal to bring back a loved one has wound up creating the most dangerous threat our two alchemists have faced yet.It all ties in with a mysterious Crimson Elixir(hence the title).

The problems?Well, first off, the game is possibly shorter than the first one.It consists of about 7 "chapters" and each one takes about an hour at the most to complete.Al is also still a pain to control with the R1 commands, and often winds up getting low on health, leaving you to either forced to use healing items on him or just let him be knocked out(however, I've read that the next game is going to fix this be actually letting him be playable, so there's hope).

Despite these shortcomings, FMA2 is still a lot of fun.Fans may also want to check the bonus DVD, which contains episodes 27-28 of the anime(since they haven't been released on TV yet). With games like FMA2: Curse of the Crimson Elixir, we may not just be seeing an increase of quantity of anime games in the US, but quality is well.Definitely worthwhile to a fan.
