Mega Man Battle Network 2 Review

Mega Man Battle Network 2

Don't pass off this game as a childish series, this is a great and original game.
The story is pretty good, and offers different new features from the original, like changing the type of megaman.
The battle system is differnt an unlike ALL RPGs. It has an isometric view and you chose your move(s) when the gauge fills up. This seems to make it similar to a card game, or strategy game because each move you pick needs to be well thought out, along with the cards in your folder.
It also features a two player battle mode and chip data trade.
Hardcore megaman fans may not like the fact that it is not a platformer (but Rockman* Zero is comming out this Augest), however fancises tire if they arn't changed, and capcom saw this so the created an alternate universe series. If these fans played this game more than 5 miniuts (most gammers will be turned off this game if they don't play it form the begining because it will be too confusing) they would enjoy capcom's little references to other games.
All in all, this game is excellent and very fun, well worth the purchase. It is a great alternate approch to one of the most famous mascots in the gaming industry. So, buy this game.
Graphics: 8.9
Sound:9.5
Gameplay: 10

This game is oneof many games made by THQ for WWE.I myself am a total WWE fanatic and like this game. This games graphics are third rate but definatly dont mean a thing to the game play. The game play is great it has john cena and has a decent story mode. This game is definatly not educational but it's fun.WWE fans will find that this is a great game for the GBA.I enjoyed with the variable match types (cage fatal four ways and so on). This is cheap and worth the money by far 5 stars!!!!

This game is heaps of fun.I could play for hours and hours and actually found myself doing just that.If you don't mind returning to town all the time to buy more health drops and to sell off extraneous items, this game is a must buy.The only qualm I had was that it seemed at times monsters could attack you from a diagonal but you couldn't hit them.Maybe just a bug or a quirk.Either way, fun, fun, fun. Finally, levels are easy to gain and the variety of weapons and items make the game a little more enjoyable.

We got this game for my 5 yr old son for Christmas as he loves the television show!!He absolutely love the game and never tires of playing it!! It was definately worth the money and my sons friends all love playing it too.As a matter of fact I finally sat down to play the game and found my 5 yr old instructing me on how to do the special feature moves with the extra buttons.I also have teenage brothers and sisters and they were absolutely in love with the game too.I would say the game would normally be for a bit older than 5 yrs old though because my son is already very computer literate and can read completly, this is why he is able to handle it so easily. There are words on the screen they need to read or have read to them in order to do the games.

Super Street Fighter II Review

Super Street Fighter II
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Note:If you like Street Fighter ("SF") and have a GBA, you'll probably get this no matter what I say. This review of the Japanese version is for those not necessarily familiar with Street Fighter and those who want to be sure that this title lives up to its potential _before_ they order it.However, I'll include some info that hardcore players will find useful as well.
This game is an excellent port of Super Street Fighter II Turbo (SSFIIX in Japan).Although several years old in the arcades and on the ill-fated 3DO console, it is still widely considered to be one of the best SF2 variants by die-hard SF players. The characters are fairly well-balanced against each other, and the play mechanics are some of the most refined (if not too flashy or sophisticated) of any Capcom fighting game.It is the first SF game to introduce the super meter (a meter which is charged up by damaging your opponent and performing special moves, for performing super combos), making it a major stepping-stone towards Capcom's modern 2-D fighting games. If you are a novice 2-D fighting game player, this is a great game for learning fundamental skills, because it is devoid of a lot of other gimmicky features that modern fighting games offer nowadays. If you are an expert, this game is awesome for refining your timing (this game is the first to introduce the vulnerable Dragon Punch, for example).
This GBA version, in particular, is quite impressive. It packs the entire cast of playable characters from the arcade original (including Gouki/Akuma...), with moves & combos intact. You can choose between four speed settings, ranging from Normal to Turbo 3, so it can be played at whatever pace feels comfortable.Graphically, it's about as good as it could get on GBA, meaning it looks as good as Super Street Fighter on the Super Famicom/SNES.The character sprites are reasonably large for a game on a portable system, with Ryu standing about half the height of the screen. Some characters even get new background locations.Sound is well-done too, with all your favorite recognizable tunes, sound effects, and voices from the arcade (even the annoying announcer voice) faithfully reproduced within the GBA's limits.Since the GBA's sound capabilities aren't the equal of those of the SNES, you will notice a clear difference in the quality of the audio, but it's not distinct enough to detract from the enjoyment of the game.
Control is where this version starts to fall short.Call it a shortcoming in the GBA's design, but I found the controls difficult to handle for a game that requires quick, precise, sweeping movements such as Street Fighter. The GBA's D-pad is small, so diagonal movement (such as for a crouching block, or a left-facing Dragon Punch) can be somewhat tough. Also, the lack of a full complement of buttons means that you have to choose your control options carefully.(The GBA has four main buttons, while SF is a 6-button game with 3 punch and kick levels -- weak, medium, and strong.)You can choose between two methods of switching your buttons:wait mode and simultaneous mode. The first allows you assign one button to two strength levels -- pressing the button quickly will register one level of punch or kick; pressing slightly longer will register another another level.Unfortunately, fine control between short and long presses is difficult. The second mode allows you to assign the simultaneous press of two buttons to register as one, although that is also a little hard to pull off unless you're adept at chording buttons accurately. The two modes can't be mixed. This button-assigning madness may be old-hat to some Gameboy and Gameboy Color players who are used to only 2 main buttons, but it will definitely take a little time for others to get used to it.Also, if you're not accustomed to using the left trigger button in fighting games for SNES and Playstation, expect that trend to continue here on GBA.
Options are where this port gets interesting. There are the typical Arcade, Versus, Training, and Option modes. In the Option screen, you can adjust all the standard settings, including lengthening the time it takes for a special move or super combo to register on the controller and adjusting the amount of damage the characters produce. In addition, the game keeps track of VS points, which you earn by winning matches.By earning VS points, you can unlock new game modes such as Survival mode (where you can play the bonus rounds against a timer or fight a single round consisting of your character defending his one health meter against random teams of characters with low health -- from 5 to 100 characters, one after another!) and Time Attack mode (where you can fight a round against several line-ups of fully-healthy characters in succession using only one health meter). After earning enough VS points, you are also treated to one (or should I say two?) special hidden character(s).
All in all, I recommend this game to any GBA owner who wants a solid fighting game. For experienced Street Fighter fans, I have one caveat:You're not going to get arcade perfection on this platform because of the controls, but what you do get is a very impressive conversion that's as close to arcade SF quality as has ever been seen from any portable system in history.

F-Zero : Maximum Velocity Review

F-Zero : Maximum Velocity
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The original F-Zero was released way back in 1991 as a SNES Launch title. It featured "Mode 7" which enabled games to pull of a 3D effect.
The game was followed up with a special "Sattelaview" version entitled "F-Zero 2". However, it only included one more class "Ace" and the tracks were not as good as any in the first version.
The latest F-Zero game was released on the Nintendo 64 a couple of years ago and followed the same princible - Fast cars going along space themed tracks. However this version included twists and hills in the tracks, as well as 30 cars on the track and many tracks.
Now Nintendo have released a portable version of F-Zero and it follows the SNES roots more than the Nintendo 64 game.
F-Zero Advance (which will be titles F-Zero : Maximum Velocity for the USA launch) is basically an upgraded version of the SNES title. The game however, features all new tracks, cars, classes and music. It only shares the same graphic style as the SNES version - which I'm sure many people are pleased with. This game is not just a "rehash" and overal it is very playable.
There are three initial Classes - Pawn, Knight & Bishop - with an additional Queen class which is uncovered later in the game. The game also has difficulty modes - Begginer, Standard and Expert - again a further difficulty "Master" can be unlocked later in the game.
The game starts of with four cars and you can uncover a further four by completly certain tasks in the game.
The game uses the GBA techology to full effect - the graphics are very sharp and smooth and once you have got used to the controls you will just be speeding though each track with ease.
The sound is also pretty good - all the music is brand new. However, I would have liked some of the classic SNES F-Zero music to be present, but really it doesnt matter much.
The control does take a little while to get used to. I did have problems with the L & R buttons at first, but after 20 or so minutes I had gotten used to it. Now I don't have any problems at all.
The only major dissapointment is the Multiplayer mode. You can play upto four players using one cartridge. However, you can only play one track (Silence) which is very simple and short. You can also only chose one model of car to play with.
If you have 4 copies of the game though you don't need to worry. You may play any track and as any car as you want!
Overal, I reccomend this to everyone as a must buy launch game. It really is great fun - and as the tracks are all brand new, you won't have already played this game in another form already.

Product Description:
If you like blazing-fast racing games (and have thumbs ofsteel), F-Zero: Maximum Velocity is one of the wildest rides yetfor a handheld system. Based on the famous Super NES game of yore, thefuturistic F-Zero asks you to pick from a starting lineup offour pilot hovercrafts that tear across flat but hazardous tracks. Yourgoal: compete for first place so you can advance to the next track anddifficulty level.
To have any success in F-Zero, great reflexes and a memory fortrack detail are absolute musts. While the controls are responsive, ingeneral the frictionless racing means that almost all cars have asuitably loose feel to them, and require skilled pilots to handlecorners. Be warned that gamers with adult-size thumbs may be in for avery painful experience due to the constant mashing of the GBA'sshoulder buttons. When you get bored of racing the computer, you cantake on up to four opponents via the link cable--and unlike multiplayerGame Boy games, only one cartridge is needed.
While F-Zero features many tracks and skill levels, beyond thesimplistic (yet challenging) racing, there isn't much depth.Fortunately, the silky smooth animation and detailed graphics shouldkeep fans of speedy arcade racers taxing their thumbs long afterthey've brought home the checkered flag. --Mark Brooks
Pros:

Ridiculously fast-paced arcade racing done right
Many tracks and hovercraft to choose from as you gain skill
Graphics give a good hint of the GBA's pixel-pushing power
    Four-player racing is a blast
Cons:

Extremely painful to the thumbs of adult-size hands
Lack of depth may be a turnoff once novelty of speed wears off

LEGO Racers Review

LEGO Racers
Average Reviews:

We bought LEGO Racers for my brother on his 8th birthday. He loves it.Here's how you play: First-You design your player. You pick his outfit, and his/her name. Second-You design his/her car. You choose the color and what LEGO's to put on the car. Third-Race. The main thing you would race in are the "Circuit Races". A circuit race has three races w/ diferent settings, 3 laps per race, and 4 computer players you race against. You get certain points for being in whatever place in each race and if you are in 3rd place or higher at the end of the circuit, you go onto the next circuit race. You also get new LEGO pieces for your car. When racing, you can pick up LEGO pieces to use as one use tools in the race, such as GREEN-makes you go faster RED-can shoot other cars down BLUE-is used as a sheild etc. Then there is the "Single Race" its when you choose how many opponents and laps. And the "Versus Race" when you can race a friend with the game link. The only reason I gave this game 4stars is because it was a little too easy for me. I would recomend giving LEGO racers to someone 6.5-9.5 years old. Overall this is a great game! Allie

Nintendo e-Reader - Card Reader for Game Boy Advance Review

Nintendo e-Reader - Card Reader for Game Boy Advance
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Game Boy Advance is nothing if not, well, advanced. It's more powerful than a Super Nintendo Entertainment System and yet runs for hours on a pair of AA batteries. It plays all the original Game Boy (classic, Color, Pocket) titles, and its games are priced right for kids on tight allowances. Now, it provides something for the old-school gamer in all of us, along with new features and boundless possibilities.
The Nintendo e-Reader is the latest in an oddball line of scanning devices for kids.Earlier such devices generated virtual pets based on the UPC barcodes on various products; in fact, a particular brand of instant soup flew off store shelves in Japan after it was learned its barcode created an ultra-powerful character. However, the craze has never really caught on in the United States. That is, in my opinion, until the e-Reader.
The e-Reader is about the size of an N64 Transfer or Rumble Pak, and plugs directly into the cartridge port of the GB Advance. As the e-Reader also plugs into the GBA's Game Link port, a "replacement" port is provided on the e-Reader itself, so you can continue to use Link Cables and some (not all) GBA lighting products.
The key to the e-Reader system is its data cards, which are basically another family of trading cards, a la Magic The Gathering and Pokemon (more on this in a moment).Cards designed for use with the e-Reader are distinguised by rows of dots along their length. These dots are the basis of Dot Codes, a proprietary format that the e-Reader sees as digital data.By swiping a compatible card through the e-Reader, you are loading data into the Reader.
What kind of data, you ask?Depends on the cards. The e-Reader comes packaged with two 5-card booster packs. The first contains the complete Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) port of Donkey Kong Junior ... you read that right, an NES cartridge stored on five trading cards!Other NES games, similarly translated, are available from retailers now, with many more to come.
The second pack contains an assortment of other e-Reader cards, including three from the Pokemon Trading Card Game. These three cards are the first in a new line of Dot-Code-bearing Pokemon cards.Along with being used in the Pokemon card game, these cards hold (in their Dot Codes) extra data on the particular Pokemon (readable on the GBA screen), and even mini-games you can play.A fourth card includes a sample Nintendo Game-and-Watch game (old pre-GB handheld games).
However, it is the fifth card that really can open up doors in how you play games. This card contains bonus items that can be used with the Nintendo GameCube title "Animal Crossing."By connecting your e-Reader-equipped GBA to a GameCube via the appropriate Link Cable (with a compatible title, like "Animal Crossing"), you can upload new information to the GC game.Just imagine ... you could update the stats of your favorite football or baseball player simply by swiping his compatible trading card through the e-Reader!
How does the system work in practice?Actually pretty well.It takes about 60 seconds to completely load a game like DK Junior, for example.Unlike ATM or credit cards, an e-Reader card needs to be swiped slowly.Like credit cards, you need to treat them somewhat gently; any stray marks (such as writing something on the card) in the Dot Code area could mess up the data, rendering the card useless.Younger kids may need some assistance at first with swiping, but they'll get the hang of it quickly. The e-Reader has a small amount of internal memory, so if you load a game/program you like, you can keep it, at least until you want to swipe something else into it.
Also, some of the NES games aren't 100% perfect ... DK Junior's sequence of boards is wrong, and it seems to have gotten slightly squashed in order to fit onto the GBA screen, but neither of these detract seriously from the gameplay. In other words, it's as fun as I remember it.
It's too early to see how e-Reader will catch on.After all, Pokemon isn't as popular as it once was, and so far only Nintendo and Wizards of the Coast have any card support. But, as early adopters go, the e-Reader is a cheap investment whose potential uses are as unlimited as the imagination.

Click Here to see more reviews about: Nintendo e-Reader - Card Reader for Game Boy Advance

Product Description:
The e-Reader is an accessory for use with the Game Boy Advance that reads information from collectible trading cards and translates it on the GBA into standalone games or enhancements to some traditional games. The e-Reader connects into the GBA cartridge slot and can also connect to another GBA or even a GameCube. Players simply slide the paper cards, available for as low as $1.95, through the e-Reader much as you slide a credit card through a point-of-purchase machine at a grocery store. When you do this, the unit scans the codes imprinted on the card and stores the information in its 1-megabit flash ROM for as long as the power is on. Animal Crossing for the GameCube takes advantage of this technology, and many more uses are planned. This set includes the e-Reader unit and the e-Reader card for the NES version of Donkey Kong Jr.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Dungeon Dice Monsters Review

Yu-Gi-Oh Dungeon Dice Monsters
Average Reviews:

I have played the Japanese version of this game [and I hold high hopes for the English version]. As compared to the graphics of Dark Duel Stories, the graphics of Dungeon Dice are amazing [GBC to GBA, you do the math]. The game is a bit more complex than the Duel Monsters card game, and this makes Dungeon Dice a game that seems to be geared more towards older players. With a whole slew of monsters and a new twist on gameplay, Dungeon Dice makes for a worthy addition to anyone's GBA game collection.

Pokemon Pinball Ruby and Sapphire Review

Pokemon Pinball Ruby and Sapphire
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Like it or not, Pokemon is here to stay for the long term. Nintendo/Creature/GameFreak, have created one of the most, if not THE most successful gaming titles in the history of electronic gaming.
Following in the footsteps of the successful Ruby and Sapphire releases for the Gameboy Advance console, the Pokemon phenemenon enters the "pinball" arena once again, with the highly anticipated "Pokemon Pinball:Ruby and Sapphire" title only available on the Game Boy Advance console.
Like all preceeding Pokemon games, regarless of genre, this one is destined to be added in the ever growing list of wildly popular and successful Pokemon titles, and for very good reason.
Nintendo took their time on this game, not merely a generic pinball game with the Pokemon marque slapped on it. In fact, just the opposite. This game was thoughtfully put together with some very original ideas put in place, that meld very well with Pokemon's "Gotta Catch 'em All" premise.
The game comprises of two seperate tapes, each appropriately named "Ruby and Sapphire", with the exception of the "flippers" all other actions are either Pokemon items, seen in the game, anime, etc, or performed by Pokemon characters from the Ruby and Sapphire games.
Starting the game is elementry, with the player being given the choice of either starting on the "Ruby" or "Sapphire" tables. Each table presents its own unique challenges, and both tables are very original in their design and layout. Spoink, the "pig type" Pokemon provides the work of the "launching plunger" for both games, with several different type Pokemon also playing key roles, such as Latias (Sapphire Table) Latios (Ruby Table) Zigzagoon, Shapedo and a host of others.
Like any other pinball type game, the object remains the same, to achieve a "mission" and get the highest score possible, with the 1st place score being a default 100,000,000. The premise here, is to "complete your Pokedex" of over 200 Pokemon using the pinball tables to unlock different areas, that can provide bonuses to players who are "pinball wizards". There are bonus screens, that are also activated when certain tasks are completed.
I have played a lot of pinball type games in my day. However, Pokemon Pinball: Ruby and Sapphire is by far and away the BEST pinball game out there in the areas of graphics, sound and general originality.
For anyone who is a pinball wizard, or enjoys this popular pastime, this game is a MUST!
Overall Grade: A
Sound: A
Graphics: A
Originality: A

Rock N' Roll Racing Review

Rock N' Roll Racing
Average Reviews:

A port of an old Super Nintendo classic, Rock 'N Roll Racing is a fun, addictive racing game. However, don't think that this game is simply about racing. The vehicles are equipped with blasters, mines, oil-squirting machines, and rockets, among other things.Initially you being the game with a cheap, slow vehicle with few weapons. As you progress through the game, you earn money in order to buy weapons for your vehicle, or to buy a whole new vehicle. This is a great feature of the game, as it makes no two careers the same; everytime you play the game you can choose your path to victory. You can have a heavily equip a cheaper vehicle, or you can buy a better vehicle, but you will be unable to equip it with many weapons or armor.
The game uses a top down, isometric view of the race course. It feels like you are driving remote controlled vehicles, rather than some racing games that put you in the driver's seat. This is a unique view for a racing game, and it only helps the charm of Rock 'N Roll racing.
As one would assume, the multiplayer feature is fantastic.Nothing gives quite as much joy as blasting your friend right as he is about to cross the finish line.
Rock 'N Roll Racing is a game any avid Gameboy Advance player should own.It will provide you with countless hours of mindless fun.

Breath of Fire Review

Breath of Fire
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Breath of Fire is a must-have for RPG fans!
After being spoiled by the graphics and sound of the recently released Golden Sun title, I was expecting a little bit more in the graphics and sound department. But don't let its slight lack of eye-candy fool you. This game has an excelent story line and great gameplay and makes up for its lack of glitter.
Breath of Fire has a similar layout to Golden Sun, consisting of an overhead map, groups of players, town scenes, and random battles. The story starts out in your typical "wake up!" senerio, as your home town is in trouble.Although, there is a slightly different ending to this situation then I would have expected.
Battle scenes are 3/4's overhead, and similar to Crono Trigger, including the small HP numbers that drop down as well as HP indicators. The battle mode has an "auto" function, which makes things much easier when you just need to "attack" something. It can be interrupted at any point. You are also able to use various items and spells that you collect during your travels.
The overhead map has a gradual day-and-night feature, which intergrates very well into the storyline. You can also run, which makes travel between two points much more managable than Golden Sun.
In the towns, you can talk to people, purchase and sell items, and uncover secrets. There are also the occasional "tasks" which sidetrack you from your ultimate journey, but these tasks add a slight twist that we have seen in many other RPG's.
Control is sometimes changed between two characters, as you take the role of others in the game. This feature makes you feel much more part of the story, rather than being forced into something without choice.
Make sure you pick up a copy! You wont be disappointed!

Since the early '90s, the Breath of Fire series has been a staple onboth the Super Nintendo and Sony PlayStation systems. This version for the GameBoy Advance is a perfect handheld port of the original Super Nintendo game thatstarted it all.
The story is standard, but solid, fare--you are Ryu, a member of the WhiteDragon clan, and your task is to save the world from the Black Dragon clan. Intimes past, the two clans were actually one clan, but split in a horrendous wardue to an evil and meddling goddess. While the White clan has maintained peacesince then, the Black clan hasn't. Get the drift?
While the story is fairly black and white (pardon the pun), the gameplay itselfis where the game shines. Each character has unique skills and abilities thatunlock special areas of the game. For example, Ryu can fish if he finds afishing pole. Later in the game, he can transform into a dragon during battle.Another character can walk through forests unimpeded and shoot animals for food. What's neat about this system is that as you gain companions with differentskills, you can go back to earlier parts of the game to unlock areas that areonly accessible via their skills. This adds to the replay value and depth of thegame.
The battle system is the standard turn-based, random-encounter biscuits andgravy that most console gamers have come to expect. While not as engrossing as,say, Golden Sun's battle system, the shape-shifting at higher levels addssome enjoyment while fighting the ubiquitous nasties. Two added feature for theGBA version are automatic fighting, which is good for when you don't want to gothrough all the motions of turn-based combat, and an ability to swap items witha friend's version of the game through the separately soldlink cable.
The graphics and sound are decent, but largely unimproved from the original SNESversion, so they will seem dated. However, if you are into 16-bit, 2-Drole-playing ga

Final Fantasy V Advance Review

Final Fantasy V Advance
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Square Enix is going back in time with their latest Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS titles. First we had Final Fantasy 1 and 2 on the GBA which were brilliant recreations of the original Nintendo Entertainment System titles that started the Final Fantasy series way back when. Then last year we had the first SNES Final Fantasy game in Final Fantasy IV Advance on the GBA which recaptured the fun that really made the series a house hold staple keeping the game the same as we remember with extras added in to make it even more fun then we remembered. Final Fantasy III which was a Japanese only exclusive NES game is now on the Nintendo DS introducing a new yet old game to fans old and young.

Now with thier next title in Final Fantasy V, will Square Enix again capture the magic that made their old games so much fun? The answer is absolutely yes!

This game is a great example of why the job class system, that Final Fantasy has become well known for, is so much fun to interact with. You start out with a team of four who have to save four special elemental crystals from being destroyed. Every time a crystal does happen to be destroyed the crystals will lend the would be heroes it's powers letting them change thier classes into more powerful fighters, magic users and specialist in the hopes of saving various worlds from a great evil in the name of Exdeath.

The story can be a bit on the weakside. Besides the point of fighting evil just because they are good guys and that's what good guys do there is not much more to the story then your typical Final Fantasy situation. The real draw of the game is the idea of building your dream team of characters in the classes you want to build them into. Some of the classes most will be familiar with if you have played a Final Fantasy Tactics game. There are some new and unique ones but over all they all have their pro's and con's and let you switch between them easy enough while being able to use previously learned abilities from one job into another job.

There are your typical classes in the Knight, Black Mage, White Mage, Monk and Thief. While there are more obscure job titles like Berzerker, Dancer, Beastmaster and Bard that add a lot of originality and newness to the game as it lets you be classes that you may have never thought of being in a Final Fantasy world.

A lot of the game will focus around you leveling up due to the fact that the only way to learn new skills for your current classes are to gain job points by winning battles. Also it can get quite expensive buying equipment for all the different classes as a lot use very specific weapons like whips bows and axes while most use swords and daggers. So this game is not one that you will be able to rush through quickly if you want to get the full experience out of it.

Overall this is a great addition to any fan of a good RPG series both young and old. The story is the only weakness as it could have been a bit better but the fun of the game and your own ability to choose what type of fighters you want to use at any given time make you forget quickly of the story going on and keeps you focused on the action and having fun with the many classes to find.

With three worlds, over 20 class choices, bonus classes and dungeons not found in the original games and so much more to do in this game you definitely can't go wrong picking this up. A very worthy, yet not as well known game in the long running Final Fantasy series.

Especially with Final Fantasy VI Advance on the way, this is a great way to pass the time until it becomes available. This isn't the greatest Final Fantasy game, but it seems to fit in perfect to the portable setting it has been put into. Get it today so you too can max out all the job abilities for all the characters.

I just hope they have all the forms this time ssj,ssj2,ssj3 in order as you transform I thought it was suppose to to come out Octber. I've even heard it suppose to better then supersonic Warriors it might even be the last DBZ game for GBA unless anyone has more info on a new DBZ game coming out i'll find it. I don't quiet know if i'll get it because I spent all my money on supersonic Warriors and it was worth it though i'm suppose to get paid for my report card time flies though and I don't know if i'll have enough money. Oh yeah Vegeta is the best character to me even if he can't go ssj3.

Fire Emblem Review

Fire Emblem
Average Reviews:

I'm a big fan of Nintendo's Intelligent Systems; who wouldn't be after Paper Mario, Mario Kart Super Circuit, Advance Wars 1 & 2, and Metroid Fusion? Their latest game is Fire Emblem, a long running series in Japan making its first English debut.
Comparisons to Advance Wars are inevitable - turn-based strategy game, grid map, and little groups of units battling it out. At the first play, it may feel too similar to some gamers, but differences emerge making Fire Emblem a completely separate interpretation of how to make a tactical strategy game. The RPG elements included in Fire Emblem provide depth and character without sacrificing simplicity. Characters only use one type of weapon and no armor. When characters reach a certain skill level, they can advance to a new class (i.e. knights to paladins) which allows the character to use another type of weapons, further extending their usefulness. The weapon types follow a rock-paper-scissors approach, or in this case, swords-lances-axes. There's three types of magic that interlock in a similar manner. While the outlying mechanics are simple, when facing down various enemies in the battlefield, maneuvering your squad to get the right match-ups is a challenging and ultimately pleasing puzzle.
One of the notable features of Fire Emblem is frail mortality of the characters. When characters die in a level, they cannot be brought back to life and do not return for subsequent battles. Exit stage left, thank you for playing. Fire Emblem tries hard to keep the player as honest as possible by transparently saving after every menu selection. If you try to cheese the game by turning off the GBA right as a character dies, when you turn your system back on, you'll be treated to the same death scene each time you load your game. The only way to save your characters from death replaying the entire level- levels can span 30-45 minutes, and restarting can be a serious sacrifice to save a less favored character.
To further burden the decision of whether to let a character die, characters that end up along side each other develop support relationships that provide bonuses when they fight together. It takes a long time to develop these relationships and the bonus are worth the effort. A death of one of a partner in one of these relationships seriously effects the other's effectiveness, therefore it becomes even more difficult to allow one player die.
While the rigid approach the game takes to standard save/reload cheese may come off as annoying, it does much to make the game world more vivid to the player. Characters are almost as close to living things as could exist in a videogame format. You become attached to them because they can be so fragile and you think seriously about the consequences of leaving a weakened party member exposed to enemy forces. (In a brilliant turn, the game allows some characters to rescue other characters and pull them from dangerous situations.)
That said, the scenarios are entertaining, well scripted, and have a wide enough amount of variety to keep the player on their toes. Some levels feature fog of war, indoor battles with doors and breakable walls, anti-magic wells, or special requirements like defending a certain character. My favorite levels are ones where your group of a dozen soldiers has to split up and accomplish different tasks, almost in a Mission Impossible-style. Deciding who to bring on the mission, how to divide them up, equipping them correctly, and synchronizing the battle so that everything falls into place is supremely satisfying.
There's nothing that an experienced gamer hasn't seen before in Fire Emblem, but I've never seen those components stripped to their essence and combined in such a elegant matter. Fire Emblem is the only console strategy game that can be compared favorably to Advance Wars, and that's all the praise I need to give.
