(More customer reviews)The megaman games are classics, and they're all wonderfully designed. The Star Force series is no exception. Not as good as Battle Network but still a LOT of fun. It doesn't rely on the touch-screen very much which is pretty convenient but what reliance it has isn't too hindering. I wouldn't say this game is quite as good as Star Force 2, but it's still very good so far.

The Story
In Mega Man Star Force: Black Ace, players travel between the physicalworld and the digital world via electromagnetic waves that form wave roads.Geo Stelar, the protagonist of the game, can see these wave roads throughusage of his unique visualiser tool. Once in the digital world, Geo canmerge with the electronic life-form known as Omega-Xis to become MegaMan. And Mega Man's help is definitely needed. The wave roads are beingoverrun, systems are going out of control and viruses are increasing inaggressiveness due to the mysterious noise, generated by Meteor G, anapproaching gigantic asteroid. Something must be done about this threatto both the physical and digital worlds of Mega Man Star Force 3.Fortunately, Mega Man discovers that as dangerous as the noise is, hecan also control it using the new Noise Change system to transform intoBlack Ace form.

Gameplay
As in the previous games, Mega Man Star Force 3: Black Ace is a unique blend of action and role-playing game (RPG), combining the high intensity combat that is the hallmark of Mega Man games with Star Force's strategic battle system. The game's action unfolds in an episodic fashion, with players exploring, collecting items, and defeating enemies to progress the story. When enemies and bosses are defeated players are awarded "battle cards" that enhance and evolve Mega Man's abilities and attacks.

Red Joker Game Integration
Black Ace is only half of the Mega Man Star Force 3 experience. The story and action are integrated with the game's companion release, also for Nintendo DS, Mega Man Star Force 3: Red Joker. Black Ace players with friends who own Mega Man Star Force 3: Red Joker can share unique items and powers back and forth by utilizing the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection, thereby enhancing their individual characters and digging deeper into each game.

Key Features

Game in two coexisting worlds as you explore the real world in humanform and transform into Mega Man to maneuver through the virtual "WaveWorld."
The main theme is 'Noise' and during battle the Noise Ratio is indicated on the screen. The Noise Ratio increases in different situations. As the Noise Ratio increases there are different effects.
Cyber battles feature an immersive third person view as players engage enemies in a 3x5 battle grid.
Cards now stack and are scattered randomly. Only the top card can be used when stacked. Mega-class and Giga-class cards have greater surface areas and are more likely to stack.
There are more than 100 Mega Man transformations possible by utilizing "Noise Change."
Each character has their own customizable personal page in the game where Battle Cards and information can be viewed and traded with friends to compare progress.
Black Ace features the ability to share content wirelesslyvia a Nintendo Wi-Fi connection with its companion DS game, MegaMan Star Force 3: Red Joker, extending gaming possibilities, aswell as adding hours of play time to the title.
