(More customer reviews)This game is FANTASTIC. I'm a fan of the classic 2D Phantasy Star games and the online series. I even have my fair share of experience in the Phantasy Star Universe. PSZ offers 14 character types 350 new weapons/items and has a gameplay style much more similar to PSO rather than PSU. It has 7 areas, and the offline story mode can be played from 3 different perspectives so that gives it some replay value. According to SEGA there's a total of apx 60 hours of offline gameplay if you play all three perspectives (races). Online gameplay is great, and can lead to countless hours of Phantasy Star goodness. You can play in a random group of people (that meet ur search criteria) or with friends, you can even play online quests alone if you like. The story is intriguing enough, I don't want to give any of it away though, you need to experience it for yourself. The game does a great job of capturing the classic feel of PSO, while still maintaining some of the newer stuff from PSU. Graphically it has some of the best graphics to be seen on the DS and the best online play of any DS game I've ever played. SEGA utilized a similar communication method to that of PictoChat to use online. It works great; you can draw anything you like, save shortcuts, or copy other people's chats and save them as your own. I HIGHLY recommend this game for DS and DSi (yes this game will play online with a DSi you just need WEP security, no security, or a Nintendo WiFi USB connector).

Product Description:
Phantasy Star™ Ø takes place on an alternate Earth 200 years after the"Great Blank," a massive war that has reduced the once-prosperouscivilization to almost nothing. The sole surviving Humans have workedhard to exist peacefully and have built thriving Cities. The Humansthat adventure past the outskirts of these Cities, called Hunters,explore the vast wilderness and hunt dangerous monsters to keep Cities safe. Players will take up the role of Hunters and select from threetypes of races and different classes, as well as gender for a total of 14 customizable character types. Each character type will play verydifferently and give players access to a great range of items, armorand weapons. Featuring over 350 unique weapons, gamers will venture outon "Earth", combat dangerous monsters to gain experience and meet new major characters. As players explore further, they will unravel the mystery of the "Great Blank" and discover a dangerous new force that must be stopped.

Synopsis
Phantasy Star Zero is a highlighted production by Sega, the fruit of the combined efforts between the anime producer Kobooka Toshiyuki and the mystery novelists Shiwasu Tooru and Arai Teru. It inherits the exciting gameplay and adopts a completely new storyline.
Three races are present in this installment, the Humans, the androids Casts and Newmans, a new type of beings that descended from the moon. Depending on what strengths you value and what weaknesses you can afford to have, decide your player character's race and profession.
The game takes place two centuries after a great war which destroys everything. To rebuild civilization, the humans, the only race left on the crumbling world did all they could and constructed cities. Within the city everything remains peaceful, but once they step out, the people are accosted by enemies.
To keep their cities safe, the humans formed the hunters organizations and joined forces Casts to combat the enemies' aggression. However, there is another race which humans have forgotten for they have disappeared even from the history books. When the Newmans descend from the moon, new opportunities for adventures and conflicts opened.
