I was impressed with how well this translated to the "small screen."The images are crisp and clear, the controls are highly responsive (lag time would kill you on this game), and it is generally an entertaining time-waster.If you're thinking of getting it for a child, understand that there is really no educational value, although I think it encourages cognitive planning.My 7-year-old, who loves the Luxor computer games, is crazy for this one.She is able to play it without the frustration she has experienced with many popular children's DS titles (i.e. the ones with teenage TV personalities on the cover).She figured out the controls without my help, and I didn't hear from her for at least 20 minutes, except, "I'm on level 4!."I enjoy it, as well.

True, it is not terribly different from the computer version.I consider that a positive.We were expecting the Luxor we know and love, which is what we got.If you are interested in a "test drive," go to the Gamehouse website and download the 60-minute trial of one of the computer Luxor games.That should give you enough of a taste to decide if you will like this.The Luxor versions for the computer are the same basic idea as this:shooting marbles at a marble "snake" to make the snake disappear before it gets to the end of the track.

Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution Review

(More customer reviews)My sons and I really enjoyed the Gamecube Naruto game that came out before this one, and waited impatiently for this one to come out. After having it for a while, I can tell you that the game play is fairly similiar to the gamecube version, which is a good thing. There are some new Jutsus for the characters, and of the 20 characters available, about half are new. Tsunade, Jiraiya, Kisame, Itachi, Tenten are some of the new characters that spring to mind. You don't get the characters by earning money like in the previous game, but by beating different modes of the game with different characters.

The other innovation of the game, that you can "knock" the other players all the way into a new game screen is kinda cool, but doesnt really have that much affect on the game or the way you play. We found that the Wii controllers were a little tough to get used to for doing combo moves, butsince they designed this game to play with Gamecube controllers as well we have just been using those instead.

Very cool game...would have like a few more characters and innovations in gameplay, but its a solid game as it is that we should play for a long time (or until they come out with a Naruto Shippuden version)

Cradle of Rome Review

(More customer reviews)I have 7 Wonders on DS and it was previously my favorite game. This has far surpassed that!It is similar to 7 Wonders in that you have to line up 3 matching "symbols" to clear blocks.The difference with Cradle of Rome is that there seems to be more of a goal rather than just endlessly matching tiles. In this game there are food, resources, and gold tiles which when you clear you collect to help you build your city. There are also many more bonuses and extras that help you to clear rounds and build your city.Overall it is very fun and not too hard nor too easy.I have been playing it non stop since I got it. I think the replay value on this is good as well.If you liked 7 Wonders or similar game I would highly recommend this!

(More customer reviews)The Ape Escape series has been great from the start.This game is even better than the first two and I would highly recommend it to adults and children alike.

It's good to see a game out on the market that has a sense of humor to it and isn't so violent.Parents can buy this game for their child of any age and not have to worry about them seeing content not suited for their age.

I'm 25 and I love this game.It's very easy for anyone to pick up as the gameplay is not all that complicated - though you do use every button on the PS2 controller.

And who doesn't love monkeys?

Graphics: A (Nice clean animation)
Sound: B (It's cheeky music)
Difficulty: Easy (Don't worry, there are tons of levels and monkeys to capture)
Enjoyment: A

Overall: A+

(More customer reviews)I got this game for Christmas and I really like it! First, you go to the adoption center and pick a huskey, golden retriever, or a chihuahua. Then, you take it home and play with it and pet it to make it grow up. Later you can unlock more breeds including:
Boxer
Yorkie
Pug
Schnauzer
Beagle
Poodle
German shephard

You unlock breeds by breeding your dogs.

You can also unlock special breeds by entering a code. If you enter a code you get a special toy and a special breed such as a fairy yorkie or a super hero huskey. Sometimes you will aslo get an outfit to dress your dog up in.

Unlike Nintendogs there are many rooms in your house. There is a kitchen, living room, closet, bathroom, front entrance, and a pet room. The pet room is where you put your dogs if there is no more room for them. You can have three dogs with you at a time, but you can have ten dogs in all.

BREEDING YOUR DOGS

To breed you dogs you need a full grown male and female. You let them play together (it takes 5 to 10 minutes) When there is a laughing face between the pictures of them on the top screen, they will have a puppy. What the puppy looks like depends on what its parents look like.

To make your puppy grow up you pet it until it has three hearts.

PARKS + PLACES

There are 4 places you can go to:

Snow Field
Park
Beach
Adoption center

You unlock these places by breeding your dogs with other the other dogs at the parks.

TOYS

You simply unlock toys by doing the park challenge (which is dog agility) or entering a code.

FOOD

Every day for 12 days you will get a new food or drink.

CLOTHES

You can unlock clothes by breeding, entering codes, or taking good care of your dogs.

HOUSE DESIGNS

You can unlock different house designs by breeding your dogs with other dogs at the parks.

OTHER STUFF

Other things you can do:

You can take pictures and save them
You can wirelessly play with friends

BAD THINGS ABOUT THIS GAME

Takes WAY to long to load when you are going places
The dogs are not very realistic (but its not a big deal)
It takes to long for the dogs to breed
Some of the puppies are ugly (but most of them are cute)
The dogs sometimes have unrealistic movements (like randomly standing on their hind legs)
The dogs do not pick up toys in their mouths, instead they will just bark at it.

Despite these things this is still a fun game and I recommend it to any dog lover.
