This game is oneof many games made by THQ for WWE.I myself am a total WWE fanatic and like this game. This games graphics are third rate but definatly dont mean a thing to the game play. The game play is great it has john cena and has a decent story mode. This game is definatly not educational but it's fun.WWE fans will find that this is a great game for the GBA.I enjoyed with the variable match types (cage fatal four ways and so on). This is cheap and worth the money by far 5 stars!!!!

Justice League: Chronicles Review

We got this game for my 5 yr old son for Christmas as he loves the television show!!He absolutely love the game and never tires of playing it!! It was definately worth the money and my sons friends all love playing it too.As a matter of fact I finally sat down to play the game and found my 5 yr old instructing me on how to do the special feature moves with the extra buttons.I also have teenage brothers and sisters and they were absolutely in love with the game too.I would say the game would normally be for a bit older than 5 yrs old though because my son is already very computer literate and can read completly, this is why he is able to handle it so easily. There are words on the screen they need to read or have read to them in order to do the games.

Super Street Fighter II Review

Super Street Fighter II
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Note:If you like Street Fighter ("SF") and have a GBA, you'll probably get this no matter what I say. This review of the Japanese version is for those not necessarily familiar with Street Fighter and those who want to be sure that this title lives up to its potential _before_ they order it.However, I'll include some info that hardcore players will find useful as well.
This game is an excellent port of Super Street Fighter II Turbo (SSFIIX in Japan).Although several years old in the arcades and on the ill-fated 3DO console, it is still widely considered to be one of the best SF2 variants by die-hard SF players. The characters are fairly well-balanced against each other, and the play mechanics are some of the most refined (if not too flashy or sophisticated) of any Capcom fighting game.It is the first SF game to introduce the super meter (a meter which is charged up by damaging your opponent and performing special moves, for performing super combos), making it a major stepping-stone towards Capcom's modern 2-D fighting games. If you are a novice 2-D fighting game player, this is a great game for learning fundamental skills, because it is devoid of a lot of other gimmicky features that modern fighting games offer nowadays. If you are an expert, this game is awesome for refining your timing (this game is the first to introduce the vulnerable Dragon Punch, for example).
This GBA version, in particular, is quite impressive. It packs the entire cast of playable characters from the arcade original (including Gouki/Akuma...), with moves & combos intact. You can choose between four speed settings, ranging from Normal to Turbo 3, so it can be played at whatever pace feels comfortable.Graphically, it's about as good as it could get on GBA, meaning it looks as good as Super Street Fighter on the Super Famicom/SNES.The character sprites are reasonably large for a game on a portable system, with Ryu standing about half the height of the screen. Some characters even get new background locations.Sound is well-done too, with all your favorite recognizable tunes, sound effects, and voices from the arcade (even the annoying announcer voice) faithfully reproduced within the GBA's limits.Since the GBA's sound capabilities aren't the equal of those of the SNES, you will notice a clear difference in the quality of the audio, but it's not distinct enough to detract from the enjoyment of the game.
Control is where this version starts to fall short.Call it a shortcoming in the GBA's design, but I found the controls difficult to handle for a game that requires quick, precise, sweeping movements such as Street Fighter. The GBA's D-pad is small, so diagonal movement (such as for a crouching block, or a left-facing Dragon Punch) can be somewhat tough. Also, the lack of a full complement of buttons means that you have to choose your control options carefully.(The GBA has four main buttons, while SF is a 6-button game with 3 punch and kick levels -- weak, medium, and strong.)You can choose between two methods of switching your buttons:wait mode and simultaneous mode. The first allows you assign one button to two strength levels -- pressing the button quickly will register one level of punch or kick; pressing slightly longer will register another another level.Unfortunately, fine control between short and long presses is difficult. The second mode allows you to assign the simultaneous press of two buttons to register as one, although that is also a little hard to pull off unless you're adept at chording buttons accurately. The two modes can't be mixed. This button-assigning madness may be old-hat to some Gameboy and Gameboy Color players who are used to only 2 main buttons, but it will definitely take a little time for others to get used to it.Also, if you're not accustomed to using the left trigger button in fighting games for SNES and Playstation, expect that trend to continue here on GBA.
Options are where this port gets interesting. There are the typical Arcade, Versus, Training, and Option modes. In the Option screen, you can adjust all the standard settings, including lengthening the time it takes for a special move or super combo to register on the controller and adjusting the amount of damage the characters produce. In addition, the game keeps track of VS points, which you earn by winning matches.By earning VS points, you can unlock new game modes such as Survival mode (where you can play the bonus rounds against a timer or fight a single round consisting of your character defending his one health meter against random teams of characters with low health -- from 5 to 100 characters, one after another!) and Time Attack mode (where you can fight a round against several line-ups of fully-healthy characters in succession using only one health meter). After earning enough VS points, you are also treated to one (or should I say two?) special hidden character(s).
All in all, I recommend this game to any GBA owner who wants a solid fighting game. For experienced Street Fighter fans, I have one caveat:You're not going to get arcade perfection on this platform because of the controls, but what you do get is a very impressive conversion that's as close to arcade SF quality as has ever been seen from any portable system in history.

F-Zero : Maximum Velocity Review

F-Zero : Maximum Velocity
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The original F-Zero was released way back in 1991 as a SNES Launch title. It featured "Mode 7" which enabled games to pull of a 3D effect.
The game was followed up with a special "Sattelaview" version entitled "F-Zero 2". However, it only included one more class "Ace" and the tracks were not as good as any in the first version.
The latest F-Zero game was released on the Nintendo 64 a couple of years ago and followed the same princible - Fast cars going along space themed tracks. However this version included twists and hills in the tracks, as well as 30 cars on the track and many tracks.
Now Nintendo have released a portable version of F-Zero and it follows the SNES roots more than the Nintendo 64 game.
F-Zero Advance (which will be titles F-Zero : Maximum Velocity for the USA launch) is basically an upgraded version of the SNES title. The game however, features all new tracks, cars, classes and music. It only shares the same graphic style as the SNES version - which I'm sure many people are pleased with. This game is not just a "rehash" and overal it is very playable.
There are three initial Classes - Pawn, Knight & Bishop - with an additional Queen class which is uncovered later in the game. The game also has difficulty modes - Begginer, Standard and Expert - again a further difficulty "Master" can be unlocked later in the game.
The game starts of with four cars and you can uncover a further four by completly certain tasks in the game.
The game uses the GBA techology to full effect - the graphics are very sharp and smooth and once you have got used to the controls you will just be speeding though each track with ease.
The sound is also pretty good - all the music is brand new. However, I would have liked some of the classic SNES F-Zero music to be present, but really it doesnt matter much.
The control does take a little while to get used to. I did have problems with the L & R buttons at first, but after 20 or so minutes I had gotten used to it. Now I don't have any problems at all.
The only major dissapointment is the Multiplayer mode. You can play upto four players using one cartridge. However, you can only play one track (Silence) which is very simple and short. You can also only chose one model of car to play with.
If you have 4 copies of the game though you don't need to worry. You may play any track and as any car as you want!
Overal, I reccomend this to everyone as a must buy launch game. It really is great fun - and as the tracks are all brand new, you won't have already played this game in another form already.

Product Description:
If you like blazing-fast racing games (and have thumbs ofsteel), F-Zero: Maximum Velocity is one of the wildest rides yetfor a handheld system. Based on the famous Super NES game of yore, thefuturistic F-Zero asks you to pick from a starting lineup offour pilot hovercrafts that tear across flat but hazardous tracks. Yourgoal: compete for first place so you can advance to the next track anddifficulty level.
To have any success in F-Zero, great reflexes and a memory fortrack detail are absolute musts. While the controls are responsive, ingeneral the frictionless racing means that almost all cars have asuitably loose feel to them, and require skilled pilots to handlecorners. Be warned that gamers with adult-size thumbs may be in for avery painful experience due to the constant mashing of the GBA'sshoulder buttons. When you get bored of racing the computer, you cantake on up to four opponents via the link cable--and unlike multiplayerGame Boy games, only one cartridge is needed.
While F-Zero features many tracks and skill levels, beyond thesimplistic (yet challenging) racing, there isn't much depth.Fortunately, the silky smooth animation and detailed graphics shouldkeep fans of speedy arcade racers taxing their thumbs long afterthey've brought home the checkered flag. --Mark Brooks
Pros:

Ridiculously fast-paced arcade racing done right
Many tracks and hovercraft to choose from as you gain skill
Graphics give a good hint of the GBA's pixel-pushing power
    Four-player racing is a blast
Cons:

Extremely painful to the thumbs of adult-size hands
Lack of depth may be a turnoff once novelty of speed wears off

Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories Review

Yu-Gi-Oh Dark Duel Stories
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
As far as gameboy color standards go, this is one of the best games made. The fact that you can duel people that you see on tv gives this game an extra aspect of fun. When you first begin you start out with a pretty good deck, so even if you dont know stuff about the game you still have a good chance. When you start to get tired of it because you cant win, there are plenty of scret passwords to help you there. Also, I collect the cards and now that I have this, I wish I had boughten it sooner. One because its fun, and two, the prices of cards really add up, so with thisgame you dont have to spend as much time and money going out and buying cards.Further more, if you do collect the cards, than this game will help you in two ways. One, is that its a good simulator for a real duel so it keeps you on your feet for real duels.Twoit comes with three of the best cards in the game, Dark Magician, Blue Eyes White Dragon, and a piece of Exodia the forbidden one!!This is a really great game for those who watch the show or play the card game, but also for those who want a level of card play higher than pokemon but not as violent as magic the gathering.

Urbz: Sims In The City Review

Urbz: Sims In The City
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Urbz: Sims in the City is one of the most enjoyable Sims games I have played in a long time. The Urbz provided me with an excellent gaming experience, with an astounding background story behind it. This game could have been better in some ways, but other than that, its a good game. You live in a small town called Miniopolis, thats trying to get taken over by an old rich guy named Daddy Bigbucks. During the game you have to do various missions to stop him, and these missions can go from easy, to unbelievably hard. Here's some pros and cons that I've conducted from the game...

Pros:

1. Pretty Realistic. Your Urb will have to eat, sleep, use the restroom, shower, and have a good time to keep going. All restroom and shower scenes are blocked, so there is nothing too inappropiate. If you don't eat or sleep, your Urb will pass out, or if you don't use the restroom in time, you will end up "doing your business" wherever you are at the time. Also, towards the beginning of the game, you will have to work to get your pay, and your house will get broken into if you do not pay for security. You can make friends, and lose friends, or just decorate your house with furniture. There's also Rep Groups, like there in real life. Richies, Streeties, Nerdies, and Artsies inhabit the town you live in, and you will have to choose what rep group you want to be in.

2. The Furniture. Theres a good variety of furniture that you can buy in the game. You can get things like DJ Turntables, or smoothie machines.

3. Create-A-Pet. Towards the end of the game, you are able to create your own pet by splicing DNA. You can create things from T-Rex's to Jackalopes, all depending on how well you splice.

Cons:

1. Always having to rush off to the restroom, or having to sleep can get annoying if you need to get your relationship with someone up to a certain level.

2. Graphics could be better. Seriously, this game looks like it was from the GBA! The Graphics could have been in actual 3D to push the DS's capabilities, but sadly, this isn't the case.

3. There is LOTS of reading. I didn't have trouble with this, but some younger kids might have trouble understanding the dialogue.

Overall, I rate this game a 4.5 out of 5. This is an enjoyable Sims game that is fun for teenagers, and adults. Happy Gaming! :)

Final Fantasy V Advance Review

Final Fantasy V Advance
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Square Enix is going back in time with their latest Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS titles. First we had Final Fantasy 1 and 2 on the GBA which were brilliant recreations of the original Nintendo Entertainment System titles that started the Final Fantasy series way back when. Then last year we had the first SNES Final Fantasy game in Final Fantasy IV Advance on the GBA which recaptured the fun that really made the series a house hold staple keeping the game the same as we remember with extras added in to make it even more fun then we remembered. Final Fantasy III which was a Japanese only exclusive NES game is now on the Nintendo DS introducing a new yet old game to fans old and young.

Now with thier next title in Final Fantasy V, will Square Enix again capture the magic that made their old games so much fun? The answer is absolutely yes!

This game is a great example of why the job class system, that Final Fantasy has become well known for, is so much fun to interact with. You start out with a team of four who have to save four special elemental crystals from being destroyed. Every time a crystal does happen to be destroyed the crystals will lend the would be heroes it's powers letting them change thier classes into more powerful fighters, magic users and specialist in the hopes of saving various worlds from a great evil in the name of Exdeath.

The story can be a bit on the weakside. Besides the point of fighting evil just because they are good guys and that's what good guys do there is not much more to the story then your typical Final Fantasy situation. The real draw of the game is the idea of building your dream team of characters in the classes you want to build them into. Some of the classes most will be familiar with if you have played a Final Fantasy Tactics game. There are some new and unique ones but over all they all have their pro's and con's and let you switch between them easy enough while being able to use previously learned abilities from one job into another job.

There are your typical classes in the Knight, Black Mage, White Mage, Monk and Thief. While there are more obscure job titles like Berzerker, Dancer, Beastmaster and Bard that add a lot of originality and newness to the game as it lets you be classes that you may have never thought of being in a Final Fantasy world.

A lot of the game will focus around you leveling up due to the fact that the only way to learn new skills for your current classes are to gain job points by winning battles. Also it can get quite expensive buying equipment for all the different classes as a lot use very specific weapons like whips bows and axes while most use swords and daggers. So this game is not one that you will be able to rush through quickly if you want to get the full experience out of it.

Overall this is a great addition to any fan of a good RPG series both young and old. The story is the only weakness as it could have been a bit better but the fun of the game and your own ability to choose what type of fighters you want to use at any given time make you forget quickly of the story going on and keeps you focused on the action and having fun with the many classes to find.

With three worlds, over 20 class choices, bonus classes and dungeons not found in the original games and so much more to do in this game you definitely can't go wrong picking this up. A very worthy, yet not as well known game in the long running Final Fantasy series.

Especially with Final Fantasy VI Advance on the way, this is a great way to pass the time until it becomes available. This isn't the greatest Final Fantasy game, but it seems to fit in perfect to the portable setting it has been put into. Get it today so you too can max out all the job abilities for all the characters.

Double Dragon Advance Review

Double Dragon Advance
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I remember when I was a kid getting to waste all my Mom's change on the original Double Dragon arcade game. When the game hit home systems, it was a massive hit and helped inspire countless other 2-D side scrolling beat 'em ups like Streets of Rage and Final Fight.Double Dragon Advance mixes the addicting gameplay of the original with many upgrades and elements from the various sequels released after the original.Plaing as twin brothers Billy and Jimmy Lee, you go up against the Shadow Warriors in hopes of locating Billy's kidnapped girlfriend. You get to punch, kick, and use many a weapon, in your mission as you go against a host of baddies from petty thugs to well manicured suits (who look like the Agents from The Matrix) to the infamous buff, bald headed, and bearded Abobo to even Machine Gun Willy. The controls are tight, the graphics bring back plenty of nostalgic memories, and the music is ever catchy. The only drawback of Double Dragon Advance is the game is ultimately too short, and by the time you beat it you'll be wishing for more. All in all, fans of the original game who own a GBA will find plenty of great memories with this game, and those new to the genre should give this a look.

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones Review

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
It is a time of peace, suddenly, your country of Renais is attacked by your ally, Grado. They are after the Sacred Stone, but why would they want the very thing that sealed the Demon King away centuries ago?

Welcome back to the realm of Fire Emblem. This installment had nothing to do with the other game (which is a little disappointing) but it still is as good as the first. So, what's new this time around, well first off, there's a difficulty selection available from the start (you had to unlock it in the first). There's beginner, which explains the game and has a tutorial, normal, for those of us who played through the first one and know much of the controls, and difficult, for those who want a challenge.

I got to say that I'm glad that they've added this feature so we don't have to listen to the idiotic tutorial (its good to look at it if your a beginner, but its still annoying).Anyway, the core of this game is essentially the same with some added features.

These added features include that of choosing what you want your character to turn into. For example, in the first game, thieves could only become an assassin. However, in this game you have a choice of an assassin, which is a killing machine (if you have the Killing Edge equipped), or become a Rougue, which is a thief who doesn't need lockpicks to open doors and chests. This adds a lot to the game too.

The other neat feature is the ability to walk on the world map and choose where you want to go.This system, I would compare it to that of FF Tactics Advance because you can run into monsters who are also new to the series.

There's also a Tower of Valni that is like an endurance round. You can leave whenever you want to, and its not required that you go there.

The storyline this time around is predictable but still can be classified as good.I mean I figured from the start what was going to happen, and most of your predictions will come true.

My favorite thing about this game are the main characters, Eirika and Ephraim. They are twins but seem to be complete opposites.Eirika is the peace loving princess who hates war, and Ephraim is the one who runs off trying to find pride in fighting.

So, should you pick up this game?Yes, if you liked the first one, but wanted more or if you haven't played the first. No, if you are tired of the gameplay from the first game because all you are going to get is the recycled form of the original.

PROS
- Good game with good stratergy ideas
- You have the choice to choose if you want the tutorial
- The added walk on the map feature is very useful
- The ability to choose what your unit will become

CONS
- The story is way too predictable
- A lot of this game is recycled from the old game (can be good or bad)

Fear not, Zelda loyalists, this new GBC adventure, even though developed by Capcom, lives up to the Zelda name in every way possible.Even surpassing Link's Awakening in the gameplay department, this game is a treat for Zelda purists and newcomers alike. There is great variety in Link's adventure this time around - you'll find yourself doing everything from riding mine carts to hopping, swimming, and flying around with your newfound animal buds. These animals are a great additon to the game: You'll meet all three on your quest, but you get one to "keep" as your pet. The main item here is the mystical rod of seasons.Adding great depth to the game, you'll gain the power to change the weather and landscape at will with the help of a nearby tree stump. The other items, found in dungeons and other places, are definetly the most amazing and innovative items seen yet in a Zelda game, including it's parter pak, Oracle of Ages.I won't list any of them here, but later in the game you yourself will be astounded. If the new 3D incarnations of the series are too easy for you, be prepared to meet your match. The action in this game is great, sometimes overwhelming, as the many enemies and huge, tough, bosses will certainly leave you gasping for a breather.Don't delay, even if those flashy Game Boy Advance games have caught your eye.You won't be seeing anything this good on a handheld system in a long time. And, even though its marketing scheme, don't pass up on Ages either. The two games Link together once you've completed one of them, adding more items, dungeons, and bosses into the mix.Get one, and if you're thirsting for an especially big adventure, get both. You won't regret it, and besides, its ZELDA.Do I really need to tell you this?

I was actually thrilled with this game.My four year old is new to the game boy and this has been a hit.The controls are easy, the regular game mode is fun following the basic story of Disney's The Little Mermaid. There is also an option to pick each of the individual games as mini games. This game is great for hand eye coordination, memory, learning right from left, and lots more.

The game is short for an older child but perfect for a preschooler.I myself even enjoy playing it.If you are looking for a great beginner game for ages 4-7 this is it.

I've been a Zelda fan for the past 13 or 14 years. This game (along with it's counterpart Oracle of Seasons) makes for a very good old school feel of gameplay.I fell in love with it and I've yet to beat it (due to lack of knowledge of ...), but I have a very enjoyable time playing the game. Most of the dungons remind me of the good 'ole days where Keese flew around freely, Likelike's took your shield, Octorock's throwing rocks, Moblin's shooting you with arrows, dragons spiting fireballs, Dodongo's eating bombs, multiheaded drangons flying around trying to kill you.And the music grabs you once again. The land of Hyrule is under attack.Old school gameplay, incredible music, familiar characters and enemies...it dosn't get any better than this.Buy it, I know I will!

I bought a Nintendo DS character case and stylus for my 5-1/2 yr old son and also bought this clear Nintendo DS cover for it.The clear cover fits the DS unit very nicely, it is easy to attach (2 separate pieces) and still fits in the character cloth case we purchased. It can remain on while charging too, as there is a slot where the outlet plug would go.The DS unit has been dropped while this hard clear case was on it, and the cover protected the corners of the DS.The cover did slightly pop off an edge, but it still protected the unit and one "click" and it was back on.Since the cover snaps on to the top and bottom separately, it still allows the unit to be opened for use.

I don't see a problem with this case being durable or lasting.Seems pretty good, so far, for the money.

Power Rangers Ninja Storm Review

Power Rangers Ninja Storm

with Ninja Storm, THQ learned from past mistakes concerning the previous two GBA Ranger games (Time Force and Wild Force), and actually put together a fairly decent game. Unlike the previous two incarnations on GBA, Ninja Storm plays just like a sidescrolling 16 bit beat-em-up. A good comparison could be Final Fight. You can play through the game as the Wind Rangers, the Thunder Rangers or the Green Samurai Ranger. With the Wind or Thunder level paths, you can switch to any ranger by pressing 'select', this is good when you play through as the Wind Rangers, and need the Blue Ranger to walk on water. The Green Samurai level path is the most difficult, yet he is the strongest of the Rangers, so it's an even trade. The show's fans will be very disappointed to find that this game was put together to correspond with the first few episodes of Ninja Storm, and due to that you won't see the sheer coolness of newer villains like Vexacus or Shimazu. Also, Kapri and Mara are strangely absent from the game entirely. Instead, you'll face Terrormole, Flourabundacus, Choobo, Zurgane and finally Lothor himself. The game is quite straight-forward, and hardcore gamers will finish it in less than three hours if they play through all three level paths (like I did). The one big plus of the game are the revamped Zord battles. They are more strategic, and demand that you time certain button combinations when prompted in order to land a successful hit on your foe. In the Zord battles, the Zord and the enemy share one life bar, and the more hits one side lands successfully, the more that side's bar takes up the other. If the Zord successfully weakens the enemy, you will be prompted to activate your finishing move by holding down the 'R' shoulder button and timing a sepparate button combo. Overall, Ninja Storm is a riot to play through the first time, but the lack of all the villains and a far too easy difficulty really keep the game from being a true GBA action classic

Final Fantasy VI Review

Final Fantasy VI
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
As a fan of the original "localized" version of Final Fantasy VI (named Final Fantasy III to keep with the American Final Fantasy numbering scheme), I have long awaited a portable release of this game.I can say, with certainty, that Final Fantasy VI is and always has been one of the best (if not the best) games in the series. While I'm overall very pleased with this re-release, there are a few caveats to the port that fans of the original might notice.

To speak of the game itself, it is a masterpiece.

The story is captivating, keeping the player interested to the very end.The plot involves many of the traditional Final Fantasy themes (balances of natural forces, quests for power, a floating continent), but weaves them in subtly without being overbearing.

The characters are very memorable and grow as the story progresses. Each of the protagonists has their own quirks and weaknesses, and many of them have to overcome their personal demons in order to face the final challenge of the game.In addition, Final Fantasy VI provides a quirky antagonist. While the Final Fantasy predecessors all served up vague, devil-like antagonists with little personality other than to state that they are the source of evil, Kefka is quirky. His dialogue is written with a sense of humor where necessary, and his back story provides further impetus for the protagonists.Kefka is the first Final Fantasy villain that fans truly love to hate. Also, the gameplay is fun and varied. The esper system (used to learn magic in the game) is powerful and customizable, yet still simple enough for everyone to pick up and understand. The addition of a special armor / accessory class (relics) provides a simple way for players to know what equipment will cause what effects. The dungeons are challenging but not frustratingly long or inaccessible.

With all that said, this port of the game is decent enough but does have its drawbacks.

The graphics are just as beautiful as in the Super Nintendo / Famicom version and don't suffer a significant slowdown as with the Final Fantasy IV advance remake. The sharper screen of a Nintendo DS best showcases the visual beauty of this game, and those playing on an older Gameboy Advance or even SP might miss some detail.

The soundtrack to this game is one of Uematsu's masterpieces, and the port does a decent job of recreating the experience with the Game Boy's limited hardware. The music has been slightly remixed to fit in the fewer channels that the portable system allows. While many of the tracks have been "jazzed up" to cover the lack of extra instrumentation, the transferred soundtrack is still a slight downgrade from the original. While new fans of the game are not likely to notice, old schoolers who played the original incarnation will stand to be slightly disappointed.

Lastly, the game has been retranslated and relocalized, overwriting some of the heavily criticized decisions made by original translator Ted Woolsey. In many aspects, this serves to help the game. The vagueness that came from Woolsey's Western-interpretation of the plot has been somewhat cleared up.In addition, some of the character interactions that would have once seemed vague and misleading now show clear direction. Not all of the changes are for the better, however. The new translation also censors a few of the games scenes, seemingly for brutality (ie, Celes's incarceration). Also, and this will probably only affect those familiar with the original, the new translation has changed the lyrics of "Aria di Mezzo Carattere."While the new translation better fits with the music, the Aria is considered one of the most memorable moments in the series, and the difference is likely to irritate old fans.

Final Fantasy is a brilliant series with many brilliant games, but in my opinion, the true beginning of Final Fantasy as a dynasty is here. The game is more grown-up in many aspects than those before it and still shines as brightly as some of those that have come after. While this is an imperfect port of the original, porting a game always requires some sacrifices. The developers made decent choices, given the options that they had.

Whether you're an old fan back to reminisce or new to the series, Final Fantasy VI Advance will provide hours of intrigue and fun.

Super Mario Brothers Deluxe Review

Super Mario Brothers Deluxe

This is an excellent adaption of the original game to the Game Boy Color. Now you can play the classic, history-making first game anywhere, even if you don't have a tv or plugg-ins! There are a whole lot of add-ons to thisgame. First of all, they changed some parts of the game for the better. Then they also added the lost levels of the game that can only be accessedwhen you reach a specific high score (of which I can't remember). They alsohave a racing activity with Boo the ghost and a challenge version of thegame where finding red coins and Yoshi's eggs are as important as finishingthe levels, too. And there's also a "verses" edition, where youcan play against one of your friends (or enemies, of course). Whoeveradapted this game to the Game Boy Color said "I want this version ofthe game to be even better," and they did a wonderful job. Thegraphics even look better! The Game Boy screen is too small to fit theentire layout of the levels onto it at the same time, so you have to lookaround using the "Up" and "Down" buttons. But that'sokay, 'cause that just adds on to the challenge of the game! I only gavethis video game 4 1/2 stars because you will still want to see yourselfplay on the big screen, but I would recommend this version of the classicgame to anyone who liked it back in 1985. You'll probobly like this versioneven better!
