Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 Standard Review

I have a private pilot cert. I used FS98 to improve my landings, when I was training. It was just good enough. The thing about landing is you have to gradually pull back on the yoke to stay in a certain configuration, relative to the runway. When you fly around with an instructor, you are paying the big bucks to do something lasting 10 seconds. Anyway, you could get better at doing this with the flight sim.
I didn't like FS2000 because I thought the landing sim was sloppier. The one is 2002 is better, and the graphics are good enough that you can judge where the runway is and just fly down. That means you can turn off the power (to the sim aircraft) and pretend you are doing emergency landings...
A lot of flight instructors have griped that their students come in off of MS FS and they don't look out the window. In other words, they fly the instruments because that's how the flight sim works best. As the graphics improve, you have a better shot at seeing how you are, relative to the horizon, and whether things are going the way you want.
You can get a set of pedals for this sim. The problem is one of using rudder and ailerons in turns. When you get down to the runway, you have to cross control to stay on the centerline. This is tough with a twist control for the rudders.

Product Description:
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002, Standard Edition is the latest version of Microsoft's highly realistic aviation simulation--the top-selling PC flight simulation ever produced. FS 2002 introduces many exciting features, including interactive air traffic control (ATC) and auto-generated scenery, plus challenging new aircraft and stunning visual enhancements that truly make Flight Simulator 2002, Standard Edition "as real as it gets."
Flight Simulator 2002, Standard Edition includes a wide variety of aircraft for you to fly--from a new Cessna 208 Caravan floatplane to the Boeing 747-400 jumbo jet. You can splash down in a lake, hover in the Bell 206B JetRanger III helicopter, practice aerobatics in the Extra 300S, or fly like a famous World War II fighter ace in a Sopwith Camel. FS 2002 Standard includes a total of 12 aircraft.
The most dramatic new features common to both the standard and pro editions are the interactive air traffic control system, crowded skies, and auto-generated scenery.
The interactive air traffic control feature adds a new dimension to Flight Simulator. Now you can ask for takeoff clearance, get vectors for an instrument approach, and hear other traffic as you fly. In fact, the "other traffic" is itself a new feature: a new artificial intelligence system generates air traffic around and between airports.
It'll be hard to pay attention to the air traffic, however, as the scenery in FS 2002 is so attractive. As you fly above cities, towns, farmland, and dramatic landscapes, Flight Simulator adds buildings and vegetation appropriate to the terrain below. Office buildings, factories, homes, farmhouses, and trees smoothly blend in on the horizon and fill the entire area with detail that adds unprecedented depth and reality to the game.
Other features include more than 21,000 airports, multiplayer capability, improved weather effects, a moving map and GPS system, in-depth flight analysis, and more.

Pharaoh Official Expansion: Cleopatra Review

After beta testing this add on for the last six weeks, I was very impressed with the additional history of the great leaders of Egypt and new features to make the original game that much more enjoyable.
This add-oninstalls over the original Pharoah game and includes about fifteen newmissions spread over four different campaigns. The wonderful part is theinclusion of tomb building in the Valley of the Kings and famous landmarkslike the Great Library at Alexandra and one of the lost wonders of theancient world - the Lighthouse at Alexandra.
For those that feltmissions from Pharoah took too long because the pyramid building processwasslow, you now have the option to allow the gods of your city to helpspeed up the building through blessings, which can shave hours off somegames, but only if you keep the gods happy. If not the programmers haveadded new ways for the gods to punish you for not giving them their duerespect. Plagues of frogs infesting your houses, locust destorying yourfields, hail storms killing your people and the Nile turning to blood arebeautifully done and make game play a joy.
The new missions are morechallenging then the older Pharoah missions which may be the only draw backto individuals that found some of the original missions hard tocomplete.
This expansion also includes the campaign editor that wasreleased earlier this year via the web; new industries such as paint andlamp makers; new statues; new and more difficult enemies to fight;scorpions, loins and asps to deal with, and a number of new material toimport/export and use to meet the goals of city building. A few newbuildings are also included, my favorite being the Zoo which if keptsupplied contains a number of animated animals for your citizens toenjoy.
Probably the nicest feature that old Pharoah players will enjoy inthe ability to play any mission in any order you choose. For those that mayhave gotten stuck on a difficult mission, you'll now be able to skip overit and continue with the game.
This expansion will provide you withdozens of hours of added enjoyment to your original Pharoah game.

Bully Review

Bully
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Bully may very well be one of the most controversial games of all time simply based on the fact that Rockstar made it.With only a name to their game, it was turning heads.People feared the worst.Mostly that the game would be as violent as Grand Theft Auto, but in a high school setting.

Let me set some minds at ease. There are no guns. The game doesn't even have any blood. Also, you can't kill anyone.Lastly, violence is rather discouraged.

You do not play the Bully.Instead you assume the role of Jimmy Hopkins, a boy trying to survive at Bullworth Academy. He's basically your run of the mill student. Your task inside the school is the same as they are for just about every student in high school. Pass your classes and stay out of trouble. Going to class actually is enforced for a time. Your classes are mini-games that you'll play. You're allowed to try and ditch class but there are consequences for not going. However, in this game you'll want to go to class just because participating in said class is actually fun, and can improve your skills. The mini games are fun and addictive. After a while it's no longer enforced, which I actually found rather sad. The aspect of going to class doesn't get nearly enough attention, but the mechanic works.

Outside of class, however, is where the game really begins to shine. If you're familiar with the gameplay of Grand Theft Auto, then you'll easily adapt to Bully. For starters, each and every student at Bullworth Academy has a unique personality. You'll make friends and you'll make enemies. The missions are fun and quite an experience. The game is original. Even better, the story sequences are filled to the brim with humor, quite simply it's one of the funniest games I've played.

In addition, you can also venture outside of the school. Jimmy can get a job to help him buy food and other things, and he's able to help people around town do some of their errands and chores as well. You'll also be able to date, go play some arcade games and plenty more. All the things most high school students do.

Jimmy isn't without a mischief. He's got a slingshot, a bat and a few other things he can use. Again, you can't kill anyone with these things, and eventually the objects will break anyway.Besides, if you beat up a kid, you have to serve detention.Part of the point of the game really is staying out of trouble.

The game also takes on a more realistic feel. There's a clock in the corner that shows you what time it is. If you're caught wandering around the school after hours there are consequences. If you stay out too late, you'll actually get tired and fall asleep.

The game looks and sounds brilliant. Fantastic voice acting really brings the story to life. The game also has some great visuals. The school and environments look astonishing.

Bully is a great game to be sure. It's almost like an interactive teenage drama come to life.A lot of the game is humorous and fun.But most importantly, it isn't Grand Theft Auto and it does stand on its own.

Super Mario Bros. Review

Sold as a 2 in 1 package or 3 in 1 package Super Mario Bros. easily out shinned the other games that it came with. The second in a long line of Mario games and the game that help make Nintendo what it is today.Super Mario Bros. had the first appearance of his arch nemesis Bowser and flying turtles, who can forget the flying turtles?
Replayability [10/10] Yes, replayability, the ability for you to play one game over and over and not become bored with it.Super Mario Bros. has been beaten myself well over 100 times, whether I just warp through the levels or just go through the whole game its been done.No matter how often I play it, it still brings back the days of spiking a controller into the ground when you fall into a pit or get hit by a hammer from a Hammer Brother. Super Mario Bros. is the game that got me into video games and I have never put it down since. One of the key reasons to it being so easy to pick back up is the size of the game. There are 8 worlds with 3 sub divisions in most of them. And even if you get bored of playing it at one time and would just like to finish it off, there is always a warp point only a few minutes away.No matter how many times you beat this game, it just never seems to get old enough to leave in the closet. If it were any better, it would have had a movie made after it

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions Review

I think my title explains my opinion already. I've had this game for a few days and so far, I'm loving every minute of it. Could the controls be a bit tighter? Yeah, I guess so. Does it hinder the gameplay? NO! Not nearly as badly as everyone is saying it does.

I bought Web of Shadows this summer in anticipation for this game. I played all the way through it (did everything, got every single achievement, etc.) and Web of Shadows was probably one of the glitchiest games I've ever played on the 360, hands down. It was a huge sandbox title, and that was great. However, the last 1/3 of the game got so hectic that the whole game engine seemed like it was about to implode on itself. The game wasn't able to maintain 20-25 FPS, which I think is absolutely ridiculous for something released in past 4-5 years. It is especially ridiculous for a non-port console game on the 360, which developers always say is the easiest console to code games for.

Shattered Dimensions runs smooth the entire time. I haven't seen it stutter once since I bought it. The whole game is vibrant and beautiful, and it plays out like one giant comic book. I don't want to say the game is cel-shaded (although on the Amazing and Ultimate levels, it's awful close), but it's definitely something in between normal and cel-shaded. It's perfect for this type of comic-book game.

Did I mention the voice-acting? The voice-acting in this game is INCREDIBLE. (The voice-acting in Web of Shadows was horrendous, so this gets huge marks in my book.) I liked that Stan Lee was brought in for the intro. Another nice surprise was that they brought in Neil Patrick Harris to voice Amazing Spider-Man, which was a great idea and he is probably the coolest Spider-Man voice actor that I've heard in a long time. I'm also really glad that they brought in Christopher Daniel Barnes to voice Noir, because he is my absolute favorite voice-actor for Spider-Man period. Barnes was the voice of Spider-Man in the early '90s Fox Kids cartoon, and he is the voice of Spider-Man that I always hear in my head when I read the comics; the game automatically gains my approval just because he was a part of it.

So I don't mind that the controls aren't as perfect as they could be, because if Beenox did anything right with this game, it was the voice-acting and the art style. Oh, and the storyline? If you have any fond childhood memories of the Fox Kids Spider-Man cartoon from the early '90s, you will go crazy for this game. I can't say enough how much they hit the nail on the head with the story-telling in the cutscenes. It tapped right into all the nostalgia I had from being 7 or 8 years old on a Saturday morning. Totally awesome.

That mostly wraps up how I feel, except for one last point; I'm tired of hearing that people are knocking this game for not being a sandbox title. The reason why this game wouldn't work as a sandbox is because it deals with parallel universes (which was a great plot device by the way - don't believe the naysayers) and there's no way the game would have run smoothly if there were 4 different, completely functional NYC's coded onto the disc. I really could care less that Spider-Man isn't swinging around freely from building to building in NYC, because we got something in return for that sacrifice - richer, more detailed levels in a variety of locations. Honestly, in pretty much every Spider-Man game so far that offers web slinging in a sandbox environment (Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man 3, Web of Shadows, etc.) it's been mostly a gimmick anyway. Were any of the locales really any different that you would swing to? No. Are the locales different in this game? Absolutely - every level I've played so far has been completely unique! So stop blaming Beenox for "ruining" Spider-Man. All they did was just try something different, and I think they definitely need more recognition for a job well done! This game is really, really good!

Don't listen to anyone who says this game is a rental / bargain-bin option only. Like I said, if you're a true Spider-Man fan who appreciates quality over quantity and can get over less-than-perfect controls, you should buy this game. Don't hesitate; just buy it. You won't regret it.

I know, I know...how can I give a hunting game 5 stars?Usually I wouldn't...I've never liked hunting games. But if you have to choose only one, choose this one. Carnivores 2 is far superior to any other huntinggame out there, and is much better than the original. Let's face it...nodeer or duck is ever going to charge you and eat you for dinner like theraptor does. It's fun hunting and being the hunted...the AI is actuallyvery repectable. So what's better about part 2? First of all, there issupport for EAX and A3D,as well as Direct 3D and 3DFX Glide. It makes allthe difference! Secondly, you have more choices in terms of weapons...nowthere is a handgun, double-barrel shotgun, and the others from theoriginal. The new hunting environments are excellent, and are littered withrandom dinosaurs going about there business. I'm a fan of games likeHalf-Life, so a hunting sim would never appeal to me. But Carnivores 2 isworth the hard drive space...and let's face it...the price is right!

Razer Deathadder 3500 High Precision 3.5G Infrared Gaming Mouse Review

Razer Deathadder 3500 High Precision 3.5G Infrared Gaming Mouse
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is the upgraded version of the Razer DeathAdder.3500 DPI instead of 1800 DPI.This is the main difference, although I believe the newer version has a gold plated USB connector and obviously different drivers for each model. Either way both models are identical in physical shape.

The arc of the mouse is by far the most comfortable I've ever used, in that it actually follows the curve of one's hand how it instinctively would grab a mouse. It is also a right handed mouse, sorry southpaws, which adds to the comfort and control of the mouse.I can't say I know what the mouse grip is made out of, but it is completely slip resistant and oil resistant/absorbent. The sides of the mouse are a hard plastic and between the teflon feet and light weight of the mouse there is almost no resistance to movement.

I upgraded from a Logitech Revolution wireless mouse and wireless mice, while convenient, can't compete with the accuracy and precision that a wired mouse provides. My old wireless mouse would lag and skip across the screen and often when closing a program it would accidentally close the window behind it as well, which I never quite figured out why it did that (I'm guessing radio interference?).With the DeathAdder, I have not had that problem once and every click I make is exactly where I expect it to be.

I played with a Logitech G9 and MX518 as well as the Razer Salmosa, which all felt like solid and accurate mice, but they lacked the feel the DeathAdder has.The technical specs are important, but it doesn't really matter how accurate a mouse is if it still isn't comfortable to use.In short, I'm pretty happy I went this way. However, the Razer Salmosa was a close second, but it just seemed like a simple version of the original 3G DeathAdder.

As for gaming I haven't had a whole lot of chances to test it out yet.I've played a bit of Left for Dead with it and after some getting used to and tweaking the settings (independent X and Y sensitivity, button assignemnt, acceleration, etc.) it is way easier to shoot hoards of zombies in the head.I also have played a bit of Fallout, and while the mouse is definately smoother, I can't say it has affected gameplay all that much.I've tried this mouse on my desktop and laptop (Vista and 7 respectively) and both operating systems seem to run the Razer software perfectly fine.Windows recognized the mouse immediately and it works fine with the windows drivers, but I highly recommend downloading the latest Razer drivers for maximum performance. The level of adjustment this mouse offers is wasted otherwise.

Other thoughts:
The blue lights on the mouse wheel and the glowing DeathAdder logo are pretty cool.I can see them becoming annoying after a while, but they are easy enough to turn off in the settings.

The DPI and Polling rates can be lowered from the 3500DPI and 1000ms if desired, but I only notice a decrease in accuracy and performance so I'm not sure why you would.

My only real complaint is the "On-The-Fly" sensitivity switch is on the bottom of the mouse.I'm not sure how on the fly that is if I'm playing a game, which is the only time I would need to use that feature. Ultimately, it's not that big of a deal, but it is kind of false advertising in my opinion.

I can't stress enough how form fitting this mouse is, not to mention that is looks pretty cool at the same time.Something about it just feels "right." Granted it took me a couple days to get used to it, but now I don't think I could go back.If you already have a Logitech G9 (or something similar) I can't say I'd tell you to go replace it right now, but if you are looking for an upgrade this is the way to go.

Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga Review

Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga

Real Time Strategy (RTS) games had never really gotten my attention until the release of Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds.I had played Command and Conquer until it bored me into a coma, played StarCraft until I couldn't care if my units lived or died (which took about three hours), and played Star Trek: Armada until completion just to find out what happened next in the backstory (not being overly challenged by the combat scenarios). All in all, I had chalked up RTS games to being for a niche market that I, apparently, didn't belong to.
Then Galactic Battlegrounds came out and changed all of that.It is not terribly different from any of the above games or their bretheren (it reminds me particularly of Age of Empires - which it bases its game engine on - and WarCraft/StarCraft).There is an interesting addition in the form of air attack units, but I can't say that this is what brings be back to this game time and again.
I guess the addiction comes from pure fanboy glee.Let me put aside all rational gaming considerations like graphics (very good, but not fantastic), learning curve (very easy with a good tutorial, no manual reading required), and game play (well paced fun, never boring).Let's down to the meat of the act.Pure geekish fun.
Oh, sure, it is okay to control a bunch of annonymous soldiers and fight off invading forces like in StarCraft. But squishing a Jar-Jar Binks look-alike under the heel of your AT-AT Imperial Walker - now THAT is worth the price of admission!
Getting good takes practice like any other game. The difficulty is easily adjustable, and the replayability is infinate.Add in the fact that this bundle comes with the Clone Campaigns - adding two more types of forces to play from Episode 2 - and this will be the best money you have dropped on a video game in a long while.

Christmas gift for my 7 year old son. We bought an extra blaster so the two of us could play together.
Pros:
- Decent graphics. About what you would expect from a Wii title.
- Challenging. Normal difficulty presents a solid challenge for young kids and adults. Getting every bonus canister is quite difficult on any difficulty (more on that later). Elite difficulty is quite hard.
- Lots of guns. If you are a Nerf Dart Gun fan you will love the variety of guns available in the game. 16 that run the gamut from sniper rifles to grenade launchers and everything in between.
- Customize and upgrade your guns. You can spend your canister points on numerous upgrades and customizations for each gun. Clip size, damage, reload rate, color, dart (trails, whistling etc), extra barrels, scopes, sights and so on. Probably my son's favorite part of the game.
- Replayability. The levels and game is challenging enough to replay the game over and over again. Good thing since the game itself is very short.
- Red Reveal: A nice gameplay element. Kids will like it.
-Plot, It's pretty basic, but my son liked the characters, dialog and plot twist. He's 7, give him a break.

Cons:
- The game is very short. 10 levels I believe. I suppose it's a "budget" title as you get a $20 gun included with the game, but we could finish the game in about 1-2 hours.
- Only 2 player multiplayer. Why? There's 4 characters to use, they should all be allowed to play at once.
- Bugs: some bugs that we had to overcome by restarting the level. Crosshairs go missing, game gets frozen in one spot. Not a huge number, but for such a short title and simple game, these things shouldn't exist. Rushed out for the holidays I susupect.
- Aiming is a bit wonky. Make sure your controllers are calibrated properly before attempting to play this game. The shooting requires precision and jittery crosshairs make it an exercise in frustration. Even properly calibrated, there are some issues with keeping the crosshairs steady.
- Weapon Switching. Each character can hold 4 weapons, unfortunately, switching between weapons requires the use of the D-Pad which is located on top of the gun. Not a comfortable way to switch. Furthermore, the D-Pad which could have been designed to have each gun selected by a different direction (U,D,L, R), is limited to only R & L, and there is a considerable delay between switches. Thus, going from gun #1 to gun #3 takes a long time. For a game predicated on the variety and speciality of it's guns, not being able to switch quickly and comfortably between them is a real pain.

Comments:
- I don't have a problem with not being able to control where the players move. It eliminates alot of potential problems and adds some challenge to the shooting. This is a kid's game. I don't think complicating the control scheme and allowing the potential to get lost in a level is a benefit.
- my wrist hurts. I wish the included gun was a rifle and not a pistol that required awkward positioning to switch weapons.

The bottom line is that this game is alot of fun, but not without it's flaws. I suppose the true test is how much my 7 year old likes it and he loves it. He hasn't even opened up the rest of his christmas presents (it's already the 27th too.) By far is favorite of the toys he's gotten. We've played the game about twice through already and are going back for thirds so we can get enough canisters to fully upgrade all the guns.

wow, it feels like playing PS2 Tekken 5 on the PSP with same type of graphics and loadtime. Personally the only reason you would want this game is to play Tekken anywhere you go, other than that its almost identical to the PS2 Tekken 5, all the ending are the same all the moves are the same. you do get 2 new characters. To sum it up: I love it, its gotta be the best fighting game on the psp and the best port from ps2 to psp! now if only they can port god of war to the psp with this kind of quality!

Pokemon - Blue Version Review

Pokemon - Blue Version

Most game boy games are just about having quick reflexes or shooting bad guys, but in this game, you have to use strategy. Its really great when you catch a new pokemon or defeat a gym leader. If any parents are reading thisreview and have read that newspaper article about this game being reallyvicious and all about using pokemon to fight- don't you believe it! If thisgame is vicious then so is chess! The game has other things in it as well-it teaches that if you want something then you have to work towards it.Also, some pokemon are really weak when you catch them, but they getincredebly strong when you train them hard enough- there's probably a moralin that somewhere.

Product Description:
It's the game that started a revolution, but it's not just the fad that convinced gamers to "catch 'em all." This deceptively simple and child-friendly roleplaying game design is a far deeper game design than it looks. Pokemon features way more strategy and gameplay than it leads on, offering gamers almost infinite gaming possibilities even after the main adventure ends. Initially released in Japan as Pocket Monster Red and Green in 1996 (and later Red), the franchise arrived in the west in 1998 as Pokemon Blue and Red. The games could be linked up with each other and with the N64's Pokemon Stadium titles for creature trading.

Call of Duty: World at War Review

Call of Duty: World at War
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have been reading all the other reviews over the past few days and some of them made me wonder if the game was worth it or it was gonna be a dud.I was really worried about the aspect ratio in the coop mode. I was worried about the online play. I was worried about the scoring system. I was worried that a game I really enjoyed, Call of Duty 4, was going to be tainted by a bad game. WoW was I ever glad to be wrong.

Let me tell you about Call of Duty: World at War.

Its realistic. Its honest. Its brutal. Its massive. Its haunting. Its chaotic. Its mind-numbingly astonishing. Its everything COD4 introduced and everything COD4 could not be. It hits home. It makes you appreciate the terror our men faced during those times. It makes you realize that war is not pretty, its evil and sick; and the landscapes, buildings and natural surroundings are just as deadly as the people that hide in them.

For those of you who have ragged on this game I think your nuts. The controls are the same. The ranking systems are similiar. The coop play is amazing. The single player story line is terrifying. The maps on multi player stay with you long after you stop playing... the belfry that you can snip from, the cat walk beside the giant water tower that you can hide on, the tanks, the bunkers, the assylum and its haunting rooms, the air field, the normady beach, the cliffsides, the jungles...

I was playing last night on one of the online maps. I was running away from this guy and I had ditched him and found a small hiding place to make a stand and ambush him.As my heart slowed and I gained my bearings I started looking around... thats when I realized I was in a room with bars on the windows and a broken wooden door not far from me. I started examining the room. I looked up and thats when my heart stopped. I saw a long set of pipes that trailed the ceiling and at the end of each set of pipes was a sprinkler or a shower head... I was in a gas chamber. I was standing inside a chamber that was recreated from images out of a WWII concentration camp.

World at War is incredible. It is beyond imagination. I am floored and I am left without anything more to say than - WoW.

Buy this game. If you loved COD4... hold onto your SixAxis controller cause your gonna be blown away.

Happy Hunting and as you play, remember those who have embraced the slumber that they will never be awakened from... who sacrificed their life so you could have the freedom to play a game like World at War.

Never Forgotten! Always Remembered!

Edit:

It is December 22nd and I am reviewing what I previously wrote and I must say that I am even more impressed with COD5 than I originally was.I went back and played COD4 the other day and I was dissapointed at the lack of colors and suspense and at how 'sandbox' the levels are.I have fun with COD4 but to be honest there is just something about COD5 that hooks me.

I must admit that I am fairly new to the COD franchise.I recall playing COD3 I believe or possibly COD Big Red One. But I was not impressed. It was fun. But no high replay value. The WWII stuff was cool but not so much. The game was cheesy and hard and I was not impressed with the COD franchise at the time. When I played COD4 I was really impressed. When I played COD5 I was hooked and I am now a believer in the COD franchise.

I do not want to spoil too much for anyone but here are some small tips.Go online and try the Co-op campaing modes with your buddies. Or rather go head to head with them in a coop competition to see who gains the most points at the end of the session.COD5 is brilliant and I do not regret a day gone by for having bought it. While you are playing look around the maps, use teamwork that you will need to achieve victory against your opponent.I have to admit that I truly enjoy all of the maps. Each map has the perfect place for every kind of player and ever kind of player class. The only problem is others know those perfect spots too but occasionally you find your sweet spot.

So. Once again. Happy hunting and I will look forward to seeing you on the battle field.

I wish I had known it was exactly the same game (they didn't even bother with changing the music - only cosmetic changes!!!) as the snow princess and my 4 yr old finished it in less than 1 hour (the other one costs half the price). Only realized when we put the game in the console so we cannot return it. I will not buy any more Dora games for sure, rip-off!

Deus Ex Review

Deus Ex
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Most of the time when you think of a first-person shooter, you picture fast-paced slaughter and mayhem like in the legendary Quake and Unreal line.Deus Ex, however, adds an unprecedented level of intelligence to a genre previously devoid of any thought other than "if it moves, kill it".
Deus Ex follows Agent JC Denton on his first assignment for UNATCO - an anti-terrorist group with wide-reaching jurisdiction.JC is a special nanotech-augmented cyborg with a wide range of superhuman abilities. You are able to customize your character throughout the game in an RPG-esque style.Want to go in with guns blazing?Increase training in heavy arms and pistols.Want to take out the bad guys from a distance?Focus on Rifle training.Want to hack into the security system and have it eliminate the bad guys for you?Train heavily on electronics and computers.Want to be able to heal yourself instantly?Train up on Medicine.Depending on how you train your character, the gameplay changes significantly. This not only adds tremendous amounts of depth, but also increases the replay value. As if that wasn't enough, the storyline is very intricate and boasts some superb twists. You will end up not knowing who to trust as the game goes on.The plotline culminates in three possible endings, depending on whose side you choose.
Highest possible recommendation.
