World Soccer Winning Eleven 9 Review

World Soccer Winning Eleven 9
Average Reviews:

I've been playing Winning Eleven (WE) since their installment in original Playstation. When the opportunity comes to have WE in PSP, surely, it's the first thing to grab. What you see in WE 9 for PS2 are duplicated in the PSP. The enjoyment of playing with either analog or a directional cursor.
However, what sadly in this package is the lack of tournament type of game, considering that we can have our own version of Champions League among those super clubs. Other thing, which is not too significant is the international team with a pseudonym players. You can change the name, but it's a bit tedious. Well, for this, anyone can wait for the option file distributed by someone over the net for anyone to feel WE realism.
For the skill option and any other things, to me, it's a PS2 version condensed in small UMD without a sound.

SNK Arcade Classics Vol 1 Review

SNK Arcade Classics Vol 1
Average Reviews:

SNK Playmore has been releasing budget priced compilation discs on the PS2 of their various franchises for a while now, and SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 continues the tradition. The first thing you'll notice is that, finally, SNK has changed up the menu screen, and added goals to each of the 16 games that when completed will unlock new features and extras.Featured here in this collection are titles found on previous collections like the first installments of Art of Fighting, World Heroes, Metal Slug, and Fatal Fury; but there are some real gems to be found here as well.Baseball Stars 2, King of the Monsters, King of Fighters '94, Samurai Shodown, Last Resort, Top Hunter, and Shock Troopers are all wonderful experiences that make this compilation worth picking up alone. Some games aren't all that special, like Burning Fight, while others are decent enough like Super Sidekicks 3 and Sengoku. That being said, you won't find any bad games in this collection, but what really hurts it are some technical issues.Shock Troopers and King of the Monsters specifically suffer from some very noticable slowdown, while Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury, World Heroes, and Sengoku feature archaic controls that show the age of the games.Flaws aside though, you can't beat what you get with SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1: 16 games ranging from decent to great, a nice list of unlockables, and an ultra-budget price tag.All in all, if you're an SNK fan, you already know this collection is a must own.

Godfather: Mob Wars Review

Fans of the movie should enjoy this game.It puts you in the movie, participating in many of the famous scenes from a background perspective. If you ever wondered how they got the horse's head in the guys bed, this game offers a solution.

My only disappointment is that it was relatively short, only took about three days to finish and was somewhat easy once you learn a few tricks (like let the guys come to you instead of rushing a bunch of guys).

Ultimate Ghost 'N Goblins Review

Ultimate Ghost 'N Goblins
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
In the 1980s, when human minds are less sophisticated, many video game concepts were centred on the theme of "rescuing the princess, saving the world". Ultimate Ghosts `n Goblins utilizes the same concept, and it's hardly surprisingly - it's a modern take on the original Ghost `n Goblins from 1986. In this 21st century rendition of this classic game, Knight Arthur returns (with his armor and, ahem, underwear) to save Princess Prin from the undead, again. To make the adventure more up-to-date, however, Capcom have added several new features to it. These include the introduction of 3D graphics, and new in-game tools and techniques that allow Arthur to defeat the enemies that stand in his way.

Apart from his usual repertoire of skills, Arthur has a number of new moves up his sleeves. One of them is the ability to dash, executed when you double tap left or right quickly. This is helpful when you need to clear an area fast, but it usually ends up badly due to the large number of enemies that appear on screen. Arthur also has the aptitude to grab, which makes platforming a little easier, since he can now hang on the edge of a platform without falling to his death after a missed jump. Shields are also introduced into the gameplay, which allow Arthur to repel attacks by simply pressing the down button on the D-Pad.

Despite the new abilities, however, Ultimate Ghosts `n Goblins remains insanely challenging even when played on the easiest of its three difficulty levels. To put it simply, the game is hard. Enemies will attack you in quick succession. They will also re-spawn regularly, leaving you with hardly any room to breathe. Even the platforming is tricky, and it regularly requires you to take a leap of faith, which tends to result in a fall to death. Don't be surprised if you find yourself doing a level over and over again until you get it right. This isn't necessary a bad thing, but it may discourage the less patient gamers.

To make life a little better, the game throws in some much needed aid. During the game, you'll find treasure chests, which usually house weapons and magical skills. As expected, different weapons produce different effects and range. For example, the lance (a default weapon) attacks reasonably quickly, but flies only in a straight line. The Boomerang Scythe (a new addition, by the way), on the other hand, flies a little slower, but has the ability to return to Arthur, thus clearing enemies that are closing in. Magical skills are more sophisticated to use, as they require Arthur to be equipped with armor, as well as to have enough MP. They're, however, much more powerful in dealing with the undead. The Time Magic, for example, slows time for everyone except Arthur. The Invincible Magic wraps a force field around Arthur, rendering any enemy's attacks on him useless for a limited period. These abilities only reduce the difficulty level slightly though, since you won't be getting powered-up all the time. You'll still have to be on your toes regularly to deal with the game's deliberately high demands.

The high level of difficultly wouldn't be the only challenge you'd face when playing Ultimate Ghosts `n Goblins. Unlike many other games, the game actually forces you to be a completist. Throughout the game, you may encounter some hard-to-find golden rings. You may think that the collection of these rings is an optional side quest (think the Mario Bros.'s gold coins) that won't impact the grand scheme of things. Well, you couldn't be more wrong. The locations of these rings are usually fairly well hidden, and you'd probably not notice them when you're just running for your life in most of the levels. You can run for all you want though, but when you reach the end of 5th level, you'll find that you won't be able to proceed to the game's final level without a prerequisite number of golden rings. This is where the warp portals come in - they'll allow you to return to earlier levels to relive the nightmare. This time, however, the nightmare will be scarier, because apart from running for your life, you'll have to hunt for those damn rings as well. But wait, it's not over yet. Collecting a different required number of rings will also unlock different endings (three in all) for the game. Again, this could be a welcomed challenge for the more daring, but an absolute whammy for the uninitiated.

Ultimate Ghosts `n Goblins is essentially still a 2D platformer, but the 3D elements add depth to the already nice graphics. They may look less polished when compared to the more flashy presentations on other PSP games, but the unique art style and level of details still look great nonetheless, even by today's standards. The soundtrack, though remixed, also brings back some fond (and some not so fond) memories of myself huffing and puffing through a level of Makaimura (the Japanese version of the original Ghosts n' Goblins) back in those days. The sound effects, however, are a little weak, and could do with a little more variety. Not that I really mind though, because the music is good enough to keep me contented. The game also comes with in an old-school D-pad (attachable to the PSP's analog button) for those who wants to relive the experience of playing the game on the NES controller. This is a really nice touch that adds some nostalgic value to the overall package.

In conclusion, Ultimate Ghosts `n Goblins may or may not be your cup of tea, depending on whether you're in for a challenge. Some aspects of it are frustrating, and it's certainly not an easy one to complete. But in an era when games are perhaps giving too much leeway to the gamer, it's a game like this that really dishes out a nice challenge to those who're in need of one. Ultimate Ghosts `n Goblins is a testament of how solid, challenging gameplay is all about, and I'd recommend it to anyone who's yearning for a good title on the PSP.

Jeanne d'Arc Review

Jeanne d'Arc
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
With so many great looking RPG titles coming to my favorite handheld (the PSP) these past few months I have certainly had my hands full trying to play and complete them all (Hope I don't get fired from my day job).Catching my attention this time is a "Level 5" PSP exclusive title by the name of "Jeanne D'Arc."This game is everything a Strategy RPG (SRPG) should be and more.Outstanding graphics, an intriguing story and an unbelievably easy pick up and play control scheme. So let get in to the particulars of this wonderful title...

Story: 8.0
The story, which is based very loosely on the story of Joan of Arc, because it is so loosely based on the real story, it is very entertaining.Jeanne D'Arcs' story blends history and fantasy beautifully, it starts with a Young King Henry getting possessed by some demonic power. His father who possesses one of the five armlets that were created to defeat these demons centuries ago, tries to save him but is too late as the demon consumes King Henry. Then enter Jeanne a girl who witnesses her village being attacked by demons, comes across one of these armlets and also believes she hears a call from God instructing her to kill the demons that rampage her village. This ancient armlet is said to be able to transform it's wearer into a great armored warrior. The story progresses mainly with three characters, Jeanne and her two friends Lianne and Roger. Many other characters throughout their journey are introduced and play apart in the main plot, but the majority of the time they are expendable at best.It is the three main characters and their interesting personalities; however that keep the story very interesting.

Graphics: 8.5
Jeanne D' Arcs' graphics are in a word, amazing. The 2D cel-shaded graphics used to bring the colorful and vibrant characters to life are absolutely gorgeous. The developers really impress by creating a product that can really show what the PSP is capable of.To start the adventure and throughout players are treated to some very beautiful anime cut-scenes, which are worthy of praise by any anime fanboy alive. This coupled with gorgeous backgrounds, magic spells, and Jeanne's' armlet transformations are enough to satisfy anyone craving some PSP eye candy. You honestly have to see this game in action to truly appreciate it; online screenshots do not do it any justice.

Sound:7.5
Every thing as far as background music and battle sounds like arrows whipping and other attack sounds were great. If I was a little disappointed about anything though, it would have to be the voice acting or the lack there of.It would have been nice to here them shout out some of their battle cries as opposed to having to read them in a little bubble. This is a VERY minor complaint though; it just would have been nice to hear seeing as how the voice acting in the anime cut-scenes were so great. It is also a little unfortunate that the anime cut-scenes don't include subtitles, because you'll miss a lot of the story if you play with the sound off.

Gameplay: 10
This area is where Jeanne D'Arc shows that it belongs amongst the handheld Strategy RPG greats.I could not find any flaws in the gameplay, I repeat no flaws in the gameplay what so ever. This game competes with other Strategy RPGs, by using what has always worked. You'll have at your disposable by mid game a small army, but in most cases you will only be able to take 6 in to battle. In some cases you may have less to choose because some characters are default depending on the battle. This of course adds to the tactical experience as to what members you want on the field and where to place them so you are victorious.Thankfully though the game allows you to re-visit some of the places you fought battles to make sure you can get to level up everyone in your party.

Like in any good SRPG these battles take place on a grid, and players are limited to a number of spaces they can move with an attack or use of an item/spell ends that characters turn. As players begin to find different characters with different weapons and abilities, the tactics will continue to change. Lancers, for example, can hit two spaces ahead of them, instead of one and Archers can attack from long distances causing more damage from above.

During battles, players can attack, use skills or cast magic spells. These skills can be added by collecting skill stones which players get when they defeat an enemy.Your characters can only carry six of these stones at any one time once again adding to your decision process before going in to battle, because there are more than a hundred of these stones in the game. With these stones you can choose different skills and put the on each of the characters before each battle. These skills can range from making stronger regular attacks, alter stats, or attack a number of enemies at once. Some stones can only be used by specific character types, so choose carefully.

Later in the game you will come across a character that will allow you to combine these stones. By combining two skill stones, a new one is created which will give you even more powerful abilities. This is the main reason I loved this game the customization is so deep, but yet so simple to use. Some of the new abilities created will allow players to counter enemies before they attack you, run longer distances, instill massive damage, and more.

There are also two neat and innovative features in this game that have not been seen in others. These effects are called the "Burning Aura Hotspot" and "Joint Defense".

With the "Burning Aura Hotspot" a hotspot will appear behind any enemy that is attacked and any party member who stands in that will get an attacking boost. If the "Burning Aura" falls on a character already occupying the space, the Aura will move with the character, giving them the ability to use the damage bonus elsewhere.

The other feature is "Joint Defense", which when characters are no more than one space apart, they will combine their defensive abilities reducing the damage caused by enemies significantly. This feature is especially useful when fighting a tough boss.

Bottom Line:

With Jeanne D'Arc's simple, and easy to understand battle system it is amazing how much depth there is here.Anyone with half a brain cell can pick this game up and start playing with out any frustrating with menus, customization, gameplay.I am betting most SRPG fans are probably awaiting the two other great SRPG's on the horizon for the PSP in the way of Final Fantasy Tactics and Disgaea for PSP.Both are due out this year and are sure to be better than excellent. But, Jeanne D' Arc is a new and original title no one has seen before on any system and should not be missed by any PSP owner.Lastly let me say that after having tried almost all the SRPG's available for the PSP I was left disappointed after every one.So what do I have to say about "Level 5"s latest addition to the PSP Library?Just two words to them...Thank YOU!!

Spider-Man 3 game for the PSP is an outstanding action hero game. The graphics and sound are excellent, including real voices from the actors in the movie. There are many different story lines and levels, and many different villians to fight, so the game has lots of variety. Spider man takes on different personalities (black suit) as in the movie, which adds a twist to the game. Highly recommended.

Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake

I really enjoy Fat Princess: Fistful of cake. I have played a few of the single players levels and a bunch of the online.

Pros:
- Great graphics
- fun gameplay
- Online works very well
- I really like the in-game announcer. He has some funny lines.

Cons:
- no voice chat. This game is so big on teamwork, but you can't coordinate with your teammates.
- Your AI teammates are not too bright. It's hard to get them focused on a goal you need to meet (both single player and bots online)

I really enjoy this game and would have rated it 5/5 stars if not for those two cons.

X-men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse Review

X-men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Okay, well my thoughts: the graphics are def better on this system. There isn't heavy cell shading at all, instead you get 3D looking graphics. The only draw back is that the screen is a bit too small for the game, its better to apperciate on a console. And the load times for each level or area ranges anywhere from 10-20 seconds (usually the later). HOWEVER the psp version does have its perks. Not only do you get EVERYTHING (including the movies)from the original platform version in this version but you get a ton of exclusives. The first sets of exclusives are 4 ADDITIONAL unlockable characters. The characters are: Nate Grey, Cannonball, Cable and Dark Phoenix. The second exclusives are 9 additional missions (which are called comic book missions). These missions include the following scenrios: X-cutioner's song, Age of Apocalypse, Fatal attractions and much much more!

So if your a big X-fan and you have/want a PSP...def get this game. The cast becomes more diverse with the additonal characters and its always fun to play more levels!

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories Review

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
Average Reviews:

This story is set just before the infestation that happens/happened to Silent Hill.

I really liked this game, it stands alone from other SHs due to the fact that there's no combat, I repeat, no combat. When you aren't searching for clues as to the whereabouts of your missing daughter, you are in no possible danger.

There are various sequences within the game where your world freezes over and is infested by typical SH creatures. During these "battle sequences" if you can call them that.Your only option is to run for your life through the maze that it Silent Hill.

The game maintains it's creepiness, but I found it less-so than the other games in the series. The good story makes up for the missing fear.

Don't expect your typical SH, but do expect a new type of SH focused more on story than combat.

**Note: Replay value of this game is surprisingly high. The answers you give to your psychiatrist throughout the game, plus the mementos/clues you find shape the story. There are 4 endings, thus far I have achieved 2.

5/5 for fun, because the story is great, and it's a new risk the developers took with the series.
4/5 because it's a good game, but at times I felt like I was just playing a movie, which as good and bad qualities.
5/5 for graphics, some of the best I've seen thus far on my psp
4.5 overall.

Wow! If your hesitating on this game, do me a favor and slap yourself! Then go get it! In comparison to other shooters...Miami Vice is a Grand Theft Auto/Syphon Filter type game. In other words, you have the freedom to visit different areas in Miami (using a GPS map like system) to make drug busts, make drug deals, and of course weapon up! The guns are filthy which incude but are not limited to; MP5, Auto shotty (to the body), Colt .45, M16, and like 4-5 other types of up to date guns! The infared laser is nice and is equiped with all of the guns w/ exceptions of course. the controls have a low learning curve...so your moms or your girl can pick it up and shoot! THE GREAT: the interactive use of al environment objects to take cover is essential and at the same time hot! Leaning around corners, jumping over desks, and head shots are well put together! Is it gory? well if you have seen the movie A History of Violence...yup its like that son!

THE BAD: on the real, all of the environments seem to be dark. I have read other reviews about this but straight up, im a gamer, and I gets my kills anywhere any time! Thats it!

BOTTOM LINE: I have had my PSP for some time now...There has been games that i use to wipe with and games like Miami Vice that i will nerd out to! GO GET! its worth every penny! And if you dont like it, it cann be educational on the selling and buying of narcotics! MOMS beware, for 41dollaz your child can get a sweet test of money, drugs, and killin!

Sonic Rivals 2 Review

Sonic Rivals 2
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Sonic Rivals 2 lets you play as different teams through a story mode, or enjoy free play. You get to experience the familiar Sonic world on your PSP in casual adventure fun.

Be Sonic & Tails, Shadow & Metal Sonic, Knuckles & Rogue, or Silver & Espio. Each character has her or her own personality, special abilities and look. You can test them all out in free play mode to get the hang of their talents and see which one is the best fit for you.

People new to the Sonic world might find this game a bit challenging. where most games have an easy ramp-up level or two where they say "press X now to attack", this game simply drops you into a level and expects you to know everything. The plot comes at you staccato with references to people and places you might not recognize at all. Really, the plot means nothing - but again it might be frustrating to a newcomer. They feel like they're missing what is going on in more than one way.

Still, once you get the hang of the buttons and accept the plot problems, the game is arcade fun. The maps have a lot of tiny details that add interest, far more banners and mossy areas and ivy trails than were necessary. The graphic designers obviously had some fun here. There are high roads and low roads and hidden roads - there's a lot of incentive to play and replay a level. the first few times through a level are just to get the sense of its general layout. It's only after a number of times through a level that you really start to explore all its paths.

The sound is what you'd expect from an arcade style game. Upbeat, stereotypical voices, jazzy pop music, appropriate brrrrings! and "Yeah, let's do this!" calls. It adds a boost of fun to your zooming around in loop-de-loops.

The controls are responsive and get you where you need to go. They've really got that aspect of Sonic games down.

Highly recommended for Sonic fans who want yet another handheld way to spend some time in mindless fun while they ride a bus or wait in line. There's no multi-hour RPG puzzles here, nothing to tie you up if you have to hit pause. It's perfect for filling in the quiet times of day with something fun and engaging. If you're new to the Sonic series, though, I'd recommend starting with Sonic Rivals 1. That way you get at least some grounding in what is going on.

For parents, this is good clean fun. Little characters are racing along roller coaster style racetracks and trying to gather gold hoops. It's rated E for everyone.

just good poker, with realistic people playing along side of you.

With this game, you start off as a protege of Chris "jesus" fergeson, and you follow his advice through tournaments and WSOP invitational events, as well as heads-up play verses some of the best (and jennifer tilly, i guess, as well).

One of the more redeeming factors about this game was that for once, without a silly game on the side, i was actually able to intimidate the computer players.Based on their verbal responses, they said things like "phew....not with how you're playing today.I fold."that's absolutely incredible to me, considering i had been attempting to play to just that end.my previous strong calls had actually caused the computer to fold.

Also, in the tournaments, Mr. Fergeson has various bits and pieces of advice.Such as, when he tells you that a certain person isn't going to let you steal the blinds, they really aren't.you better have the cards to call, because that person, should they choose to stay in the pot in the first place, isn't going to give up even a small amount of chips very easily.

a fun side note is that for once, you can actually play ad hoc with other players directly, without having to go through a silly internet server or having to be near a wireless access point.just two friends with psp's, and a fully charged battery (gotta love that built in wireless), and you are off to good poker fun.

overall, the game is incredibly impressive, considering the caliber of poker games that we have already seen (or rather NOT seen) on the market until today.

a great notch in the belt of World Series of Poker computer and video games, i can't wait to see what they come out with next.
---BTW.....the implied thing that i haven't really mentioned, is that since this game is a little more realistic....it's HARDER.this isn't the type of video game you pick up and expect to beat instantly.these players play well, and they change their style.one time they'll call you and try to bluff you out with a 2-4 offsuit....but the next hand they'll be slowplaying you with pocket aces.good luck to all that try on the "professional" level.

Most of the reviews I have read about this game have been dead wrong.THey grade the game as a poor racer.Though I would take issue with that, this game is hardly a racer. It is much closer to a brilliant monkeyball game with a twist.Monkey ball is way fun, but monkeyball as a car on insane tracks is incredible.THis game is a complete rip off of the pc game track mania, which is a wonderful game.THis game is packed with insanely addictive levels in which you have 20-30 seconds to complete the level with an almost instant restart if you mess up.This format is perfect for the portable system. In addiction to the crazy tacks you must complete in short times, you also have tons of fun mini-games to complete. Finally, if you are looking for a competent racer to compete with, look no further than yourself.Whenever you complete a track, the game saves your run a sa ghost rider. From then on you race against your ghost. If he is ahead, you know you will not unlock the next track.Bottom Line: BUY THIS GAME NOW.You will keep it forever with it's infinite gameplay and track editor options - not to mention all the tracks you can download from the net once you have beat the original ones.

Mega Man Powered Up Review

Mega Man Powered Up
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
About twenty years ago, Mega Man hit the scene and pretty much invented a style of gameplay that the series continues to use even today. This is more than just a remake, this is a completely revamped version of a classic game.Mega Man is often ranked as one of the best NES games out there. Now it's been remade on your PSP.While I have to admit I miss the original NES version, this version is really good in its own right.

There are two modes to play in this game.A mode that allows you to play through the original game where everything is just about the same (only the looks have changed) and a new style mode where some levels have been redesigned, two new bosses join the mix and there are some interesting secrets to unearth.

For those who loved the NES version, playing the game in the normal style mode is a treat. You'll get to relive the first Mega Man game ever in a whole new light. You might also want to try the new style as well. That's like a whol new experience all together. For one, Capcom added two new bosses to the mix.Oil Man and Time Man.Now I know what you're thinking, "What Godawful names for bosses."If that IS you, allow me to remind you that this is the FIRST Mega Man game and that in this re-release Capcom still wants to maintain that classic feel.Adding these two gives a new experience to the game. This means there are actually two new levels to play as well. And of course, you can save your game (isn't that so much better than having to complete it in one sitting?).

What's also interesting is that if you defeat a boss without using a special weapon, you unlock that boss as a character! Each boss has their own unique weapon and abilities. There are some items in levels that Mega Man is unable to reach. But some of the boss characters might be able to reach it.The only problem with playing as a boss is there are moments where they're severely handicapped.Where as Mega Man is a well rounded character, most of the playable boss characters aren't.Their attacks might be useless on some enemies, for example.

Still, that's not such a bad thing.Capcom also added difficulty levels to this game. For the hardcore Mega Man fan who couldn't get enough of this already hard game, why not try your hand at Hard Mode?An adjustible difficulty level is just what Mega Man needs.

There's also a challenge mode introduced here.A mode where you can play as Mega Man and the bosses again. The game--honestly speaking--isn't long. The challenge mode here is though. There are about 100 levels and they'll keep you busy for a while if the main game just becomes boring. There are bosses to fight in challenge mode as well.

Perhaps the most rewarding thing in this entire package is the ability to be able to design your own level. It's not hard to get used to, but it takes a lot of time to design the perfect level. When you have designed that level though, you can put it online.Even better, you can download levels that others have created and have a blast. This gives a whole new experience to Mega Man.

Where the game will definitely be a hit or miss is the graphics.Does Mega Man Powered Up look good?Sure it does.It looks fantastic. But it also looks a little too cute for the average gamer.I'll be honest, Mega Man really does look like a baby. The cuteness of this game, for some gamers, could be an all out turn off.And that's really sad because it is a very fun and rewarding gaming experience.

So the game is good. It's fantastic. There are times when I'm still nostalgic for the NES original, but a re-release isn't so bad.The cute look of this game might be a turn off to some gamers, but it is, for the most part, a great gaming experience for old fans and a great introduction for new fans.

The Good
+A Classic Game
+There are now cutscenes to flesh out the story
+Same addictive gameplay
+Great Graphical Overhaul...
+Play as the boss characters
+New game modes!
+New level designs
+Design your own levels

The Bad
-Playing as the bosses can be annoying
-Despite how great these graphics are, the "cute" look will definitely turn some people away.

Lumines Review

Lumines
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
When I purchased this game on launch day, I only knew one thing about it:It was made by the same guy who made REZ.Really, that's all I needed to know to part with my cash.

REZ is a hard to find shooter title for Dreamcast/PS2 that set itself apart by completely integrating the visuals and the gameplay with the music.

Lumines, although the game itself is completely different, also delivers big on this concept. Each action you take, rotating the falling peices, destroying a square of same-colored blocks, setting off a huge combo, all trigger unique musical embellishments and sound effects that go with the soundtrack for each level. This in itself would be enough to make a game engrossing, but the mechanics and hectic pacing of the game make it all the more addictive.

Lumines is a falling blocks game, but it is in no way a tetris clone.Squares fall in blocks of four, and come in two colors, arranged in the block at random.By arranging the squares into 2x2 blocks of like colors, a bar that moves across the screen will clear it.Squares can be as big as you want, and can overlap. Also, depending on the music for the stage, the bar may move faster or slower. There are also special blocks that will clear all blocks of the same color that are touching it.It sounds simple, and it is, but the most addictive puzzle games always are.

This game belongs with every PSP purchase.

Product Description:
In 1996 an arcade legend was born with the release of Metal Slug: Super Vehicle 001. The military-style themes, and a side-scrolling platform mixed with a wacky sense of humor and hilarious cartoon style, proved extremely popular to a decidedly wide audience. Based on this success, seven more Metal Slug sequels would be developed and released. Ten years later, The Metal Slug game play and popularity are still going strong. To celebrate, the creators of the Metal Slug Anthology stopped at nothing to provide a 2D, side scrolling compilation for the PSP that is perfectly compatible with all the great game play possibilities that the PSP has to offer.
