(More customer reviews)This is a great deal, a 2CD game with excellent animation, great voiceacting, and a script with all sorts of twists, gags, and memorable linesthat you'll find yourself repeating long after you've finished thegame.
The game focuses on the exploits of Guybrush Threepwood, a MightyPirate, and his neverending struggle against the evil (and dead) pirateLeChuck.Guybrush's love, Elaine Marley, has been turned into a statue ofgold thanks to a cursed engagement ring and its up to Guybrush to restoreher.
Lucasarts has always been the king of adventure games, and Curse ofMonkey Island is no different.There's a bit of simulated combat, puzzlesolving. character interaction, and just plain fun as Guybrush attempts torecruit a pirate crew and sail off to find a cure for his beloved Elaine.
Along the way he meets vegetarian cannibals, lactose intolerane volcanogods, Murray the talking skull, Dingy Dawg, and all sorts of otherinteresting folks.
Also, Curse of Monkey Island is a game that you canlet your children play without worrying about them being exposed to gore orprofanity.The world is light hearted and funny.
I hightly reccomendthis game, its a refrehsing break from a lot of the gore fests andultra-serious games out there.
