(More customer reviews)I have been playing ToonTown Online for close to 2 years now. A co-worker got me hooked on it after her child got her hooked on it after seeing a commerical for it on The Disney Channel. Yes, it is an online game (hence the name ToonTown Online) and it very specifically indicates on the packaging that a recurring fee is necessary to play it after the initial 2 month game time has expired.The game is downloadable from the ToonTown website and the retail version is NOT a necessity to have. The game is a HUGE download and the CD is great to have if you have dial-up internet access like I do.

As for play value, it is great.I have 2 active toons (you can have 6) on my account that I play on a regular basis.Yes, it is geared towards kids but many of the players I encounter are adults that were hooked by their children.It is safe for kids as there are pre-made phrases that you use for your toon to communicate with other toons.There is the option for real-life players to "code" with each other so they can speak freely with each other.Even with the free speech being available, it is heavily filtered for bad language.I have tested many different "bad" words in various spellings and even inserted spaces and other characters to attempt to get it to let it come across but it won't.Kudos to Disney for being proactive in anticipating what lengths some people will go to spoil kid fun.
The concept of the game is not different than any other MMOG like EverQuest, Final Fantasy etc.You are given quests to complete for jellybeans (money), gags (weapons) and laff boosts (strength). The only difference is that this game is designed for children.

It is well worth the $10 a month and the game is always expanding. Since I have been playing there have been 2 major updates and a 3rd is scheduled for sometime in April or May, giving toons an additional neighborhood/Cog HQ to play in with new tasks and rewards.

(More customer reviews)I got this set when it first came out, and I really loved it.It has so much information on the Trek Universe.I really loved the Next Generation CD because it has all the information on the episodes.And I love the omnipedia CD as well.Basically it's a Star Trek encyclopedia, and that really caught my attention.There's a CD that teaches the language of Klingon, and there is just so much to view and to look at in this set.It's definitely worth the addition to any Star Trek Collector's collection.

(More customer reviews)Most of the game play in this expansion is targeted towards people who have well-geared 70 characters.The only benefit for low level characters is the ability to get 8 extra bank slots and a horse (when you buy the CD version).Also, if your 55+, you can most likely get an Aura via a quest.

One last thing. You probably already realised this, but you probably should NOT BUY A USED COPY.If its used, then who ever used it probably registerd the key with Sony for thier EQ account.Since you can only do this once for each account, buying a used one would be a waist of money since Sony would not alow you to register the key.

(More customer reviews)I cannot say how much I appreciate these games Virtual Villagers is a fantastic gaming series.My children all love to play.We all sit around our computer talking about what we need to do to advance our village.We also giggle about the different things we can do to the villagers.Great idea with no violence I appreciate that so much.I especially like the levels of play #1 is a bit easier though my children did figure out the golden child where it was taking me ages to figure that out.The lost children is a bit more difficult you have to think and work at keeping them alive, and I do love the feature of being able to use tech points to buy different clothes for the villagers instead of them just adding up into infinity.

Star Trek: Armada Review

(More customer reviews)As a long suffering Star Trek fan who wishes that not almost every ST PC game turns out to be a stinker, I am glad to report that this game turned out to be playable. Like Blizzard's Starcraft, you control each of the 4major ST: Next Generation races in turn (Federation, Klingon, Romulan, andBorg), solving a series of liked scenarios for each, all linked through acommon storyline. I'd wait until a patch was available before buying itthough. If the bugs were fixed, I'd rate it a 4-star.
The good parts: Thegraphics are really terrific, with smooth animation and effects that reallyadd to the game. Several different unique ships for each race, each withits own special abilities. The ability to capture enemy ships andfacilities. The campaign scenarios are varied and interesting. The gameinterface is simple and user-friendly.
The bad parts: The campaign isreally short, the AI is none too bright and the game has some seriousstability problems (crashed on starting, crashed on saving, crashed onloading).

Diner Dash 2 Review

(More customer reviews)Diner Dash 2 is more exciting and adventurous than the original. If you're a fan of the original, you will probably like this one as well. It starts out as a big company trying to take over 4 restaurants and they all have one thing in common. They are friends with Flo. She helps them gain money for their restaurant to get upgrades. There is an upgrade after you complete every level and if you get the expert score on that level, you unlock a special upgrade.

The restaurants are an outside cafe, a pizza place, a Mexican restaurant, and a Suishi restaurant. Then, there is a surprise restaurant in the end.

This game introduces new concepts that the first didn't. There is the introduction of serving appetizers and deserts. There are also new types of people including families which you have to give high chairs too and they might make messes so you have to use a mop. The other types of people are business woman, senior citizens, bookworms, and cell phone addicts. There are also plenty of new upgrades including a podium to keep waiting customers happy and a bar to sit people at.

This game is filled with new adventures and new people. If you like the first one, you will definetly like this one because it is more challenging and it has a change of scenery after every 10 levels.
