This game is great if you like racing and blood and gore.In this game you can either use a controler,or the keyboard. There are 3 way of completing a level(each set is called a group)by killing all peds.,wasting all the cars,or going through all the check points(or lap)a certent amount of times. You have a lot of cars and when you get the right amount of credits you can the one you want, but only if you find it in the race your racing. You nave boxs and a type of barrel filled with either a power-up or something that happens to your car, peds.,or your oppenets. The red box has something to do with the people running around that you hit(be sure to get drunk peds. cause thats the funnest). The barrels have to do with your car.I don't know how many levels there are since I haven't completed it.You should try it.

Black & White Expansion: Creature Isle Review

Black & White Expansion: Creature Isle

If you have gotten to at least Land 3 in the original B&W, this expansion won't dissapoint you. It is really creative, and I like te new creatures (Rhino, Chicken, Alligator). The trials are pretty fun, yet some of them are quite annoying. The biggest problem with this game is that it won't upgrade your original Black and White. This Really ticked me off, cuz I was hoping to beat the game with an alligator. However, like I said before, it's still really fun until you've beaten it.

Sid Meier's Civilization Chronicles Review

Sid Meier's Civilization Chronicles
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This collection is a great one - it's like buying the trilogy of your favorite movie series or buying all the episodes for Star Wars.

That means that there are exactly two reasons why anybody would buy this package.

The first reason is the most obvious: you don't have any (or most) of the titles and/or you are looking to learn more about the history of this classic game.

In that light, this package offers everything you can possibly buy with the Civilization title on it except for the very latest expansion packs to Civ 4.(There are nine titles here!)

If you have never seen the roots of Civilization (there were versions released for game consoles, as well), you will get your chance here. And again, if you love Civ but don't have the "not for sale in stores" versions of older Civ titles, here you go.

The second reason somebody would buy this package is simply because they are a diehard fan of Civilization and want it all.

My comparison is to movie trilogies insomuch as they typically offer slightly upgraded versions of the products released many years ago, thus increasing both the nostalgia and the fervor. Some titles have essentially been patched to perform decently on newer computer systems - reminds me of the Atari Classic Games release a few years ago where they enabled the old games to play on Windows XP, for example.

This package meets your needs if you want it all as you get every Civilization title (expanded or not) to play on today's current computer systems.More importantly for the diehard fan are the collectible items inside.

There is also a DVD that is pretty cool, I think. It is essentially the "Making of..." feature that you find with movies, and because Civilization is a classic, this "Making of..." will appeal to those who have been with Civilization for a long time.

There is also the card game (which I never got into because I'd rather sit in front of my computer and have it do most of the work). This game is most exciting when you play it with your friends, in my opinion. My challenge was finding even one friend who loved Civ as much as I to play this with me, but all those online features really drew me away from the cards (if I wanted to play multi-player).The card game is still fun, though - it can let you interact with your friends more intimately.

And, of course, the book...

This is more than just a game manual or a strategy guide - this is the bible (as they tried to make it out to be).But it is basically the DVD documentary in written form, albeit nicely done.It is a great collector's item as it shows you a lot of the concepts (new and old) and some of the "mind of Sid," as well as the chronology/history of it all (like changes between the titles).Good content if you are into that sort of thing.

I really think that the collectors will appreciate this offering the most.I can't imagine turning people on to the Civilization culture by introducing them to the older titles and then having them work their ways up to Civ IV.

In reality, if you are a Civ history/culture buff, this is your $65 baby.

I also noticed that for about $91 you can get EVERY title ever made for Civilization - that means you just add the new Civ IV: Warlords expansion pack to the order.

For me, personally, I own Civs 1-4 on one format or another, and I have spent almost $200 so far.I thought Civ 3 was perfect for gamers like me (people without advanced computer degrees but who love to customize), but nowadays the Civ titles are increasing the gap between the yuppies and the computer geeks.(I am a computer geek, but on the lower end.)

Buy this if you want it all (in a nice box to boot). If you aren't that way, just buy Civilization 3 Complete - it's got everything you'd love about Civilization and the price is delectable.

Black & White 2: Battle of Gods Expansion Pack Review

Black & White 2: Battle of Gods Expansion Pack
Average Reviews:

This expansion pack provides a few new items to build around your city and provides three more maps to conquer. If it weren't for the fact that Black & White 2 was so addictive to begin with, this would be a really disappointing product. If you're looking for skirmish or multiplayer action, this expansion is not for you.In fact, this expansion is probably only for the purely addicted players, and even then, it only amounts to a little over two hours' worth of play time.

As a side note, the custom maps that you can design with Lionhead's map editor or download from various fan sites do not work with this expansion, which means that you can use the new items in only the three maps provided with this expansion.

Product Description:
Who, if we are being honest, hasn't wanted to be a god now and again, if only for a little while? Black & White 2: Battle of the Gods once again makes you into a nameless god whose very existence depends upon having devoted worshippers. Predictably, Black & White 2 picks up after the events of the original Black & White. Just when you thought you had gotten Eden under control, the Aztecs raise a new undead god through huge numbers of human sacrifices, complete with an army of undead skeletons and an undead new creature to lead them.

There are two new creatures to choose from, which brings the total number of creature options to six. View larger.

Send your creature into the fray to defeat the enemy god's undead creatures. View larger.

Who hasn't wanted to be a god now and again, if only for a little while? View larger. As before, you must crush this rival god on various isles by nurturing your followers and building a flourishing civilization that lets you either convince the Aztec god's followers to defect to your side, or allows you to take them over militarily.
The core gameplay in this expansion remains pretty much unchanged from Black & White 2, though you do get a few new islands to battle it out on, some of which are actually huge when compared to those seen in the original. If you still have any old games saved, you can actually import your creature from Black & White 2. But don't fret if you either didn't play or didn't keep any old games on your hard-drive, as this expansion lets both old and new players hit the ground running. First, you select a starting package that is either good or evil, which will give you a variety of miracles and bonuses. You can also elect to start off as neutral and fine-tune your own starting package if you know specifically what kinds of things you want. There are two new creatures to choose from as well, which bring the total number of creature options to six. Whether you import an existing creature or start anew, you'll begin Battle of the Gods with a ton of tribute points that allow you to purchase the buildings and powers you will start with.
It is easy to improve the cities of your followers, as virtually the whole game can be played without messing with the keyboard. The mouse allows you to do pretty much everything, from laying out cities to picking up and dropping citizens around the map. The Battle of the Gods expansion includes a handful of new buildings that add a few more tactical options, such as a blacksmith that can upgrade your soldiers and hospitals, letting you save the manna you would normally spend on healing for use on other miracles. The mouse also allows you to punish or reward your creature for its behavior at the click of a button, so you can quickly train it to do what you want, from fertilizing fields with its manure to knocking down enemy walls.
It's possible in Black & White 2: Battle of the Gods to simply assimilate your enemies' followers peacefully by building a city of such grandeur that they want to defect. However, the sheer size of some of these maps can make this a long and drawn-out process, since you would require such a huge and impressive city. And besides, who really wants to be a completely peaceful and benevolent god? Instead you send your creature into the fray to defeat the enemy god's undead creature and crush the Aztec armies, thereby letting loose the platoons you have been building in order to seize and capture defenseless Aztec towns.
One other change is the addition of more mini-game challenges that you can pursue for additional tribute points, and which let you unlock new buildings and powers. These challenges provide short diversions from the main focus of the game, as you solve puzzles, participate in ice curling, target practice on zombies with lightning bolts, and more. Whether you pursue a peaceful or militaristic approach, you'll find that it'll take you hours of enjoyable gameplay to get through each map, and, especially for those of you who already loved the unique world and gameplay of Black & White 2, that is all that need be said.

I paid $50 for C&C Generals a few years ago. I ended up giving a copy of it to a friend when I bought this set. The price is right and every single on of these games are absolutely some of the best games I have ever played. Not having to pay the premium of the newest, you save so much money, it's crazy not to buy them this way when possible.

You are the shaman the leader of a primitive tribe, if you are to realise your dream of becoming a god, you must defeat your foes and conquer all 25 worlds in the solar system. To conquer the worlds you must use your minions, spells and houses. You could send a few fire warriors by boatfor adevastating sea attack or send spies to burn their houses or saywhat the heck and use the volcano and wipe out their whole tribe.Buildhuge cities complete with civilian houses boat shacks, churches, spy huts, guard posts and many more. Have faith in the elements as you use 26unique spells like the Tornado, Earthquake, lighting and Meteor showerspells. Then send your braves, warriors, fire warriors, priests andspies into battle against the enemy.
I must say that Populous is the bestcomputer game I have ever played. With 25 highly detailed 3D levels youwill find yourself playing until late at night. You can have yourattacks as basic as you want to as complex as you want. The really goodthing with this game is that not only do you have the normal close up view but you can have a view from outer space which is excellent when you wantaccess your options before going into battle. Even though I haven't yetdone it,you can your play friends or strangers over the Internet. I feel ifyou want to get the most out of populous you must have"direct 3D rendered" it just makes the game 3D accelerated andthe landscape is more detailed and as just more clearer but if you don'tdirect 3D it doesn't matter that much.I take my hat off to bullfrogwith an anther superb 3D strategy game. I can't wait until I play Dungeonkeeper 2 which another bullfrog game.If you like Populous then look outfor Dungeon keeper and Age of Empires they'll be up your ally.5 stars.

Populous Review

Populous
Average Reviews:

Frankly I was a little worried about this title. The original was one of my favorite PC games in the early 90's.Subsequent console ports were pretty unplayable. And honestly the trailer video doesn't look that good.Plus the new play options are much more complicated than the elegantly simple original.

But the verdict is: it works. It works well.It plays at least as well as the original. The touch screen on the DS is a huge plus. The screen is a little small and the controls take a little getting used to, but only a little.By the first or second game after the tutorial I pretty well had it down, controlling just with the stylus and left shoulder button.Easy, fun and very reminiscent of the experience from the days of yore.

Like the original Populous the game can be at times slow and others frustrating, but it plays well, and it is a good puzzle/strategy game. This update has more strategy than the original, and I feel it works well.I don't think anyone will call this version one for the ages. But if you already like this kind of game, or were thinking about buying it based on fond memories of the original on the PC, it's definitely worth the price of admission.

Product Description:
A completely re-imagined remake of the Populous PC classic from Electronic Arts that launched the god-sim genre, Populous DS brings the power of the gods into the palm of the player's hands. The unique features of the Nintendo DS improve upon the original with touch-screen controls, dual-screen layout, and wireless versus play with up to four players. The gameplay is fresh for returning players as multiple gods each with their own unique miracles have been added. All new play modes and areas appear, along with favorite classic maps from previous editions of Populous. In the beginning, there was nothing but a void, and from the void five gods created the world, each exercising their great power to shape the world with five different but brilliant colors. Earth created the basis for all things; Water soothed it; Fire imbrued it with vitality; Wind breathed into it freedom; Harvest provided it with nourishment. Fish, beasts, and finally beings called man came into existence. The power of the gods brought harmony among all living things and the world gave way to an age of glory. However, prosperity created darkness in the hearts of man, and from that darkness demons were birthed. The demons controlled the same five elements as the gods and rose against them. A chaotic battle for the world had begun. Thus opened the gates of an age of darkness, where man trembles in fear, helpless as the awesome powers rage around them. It marked the beginning of a long-lasting age that would test their faith between the gods and the demons.

Evil Genius Review

Evil Genius
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Evil Genius is an amazingly addictive strategy game (sort of a Sims game). It has great humor, great graphics, great sound, and lots of great gameplay. Unfortunately it has some moments of really boring gameplay as well as some downright frustration.

In the game you build an evil lair and send your minions around the world doing evil deeds. Meanwhile you raise cash, more minions, build a bigger base, buid traps, and defend your base against the nasty do-gooder agents (ala James Bond) trying to take you down.

Doing all of these things is great fun. Just deciding on your base design is fun and the graphic animations are terrifc so just watching things happen is entertaining. Unfortunately you really need to read between the lines of the goals as well as read the manual a few times (and the online help) to figure out exactly how things work. It is very easy to get stuck in moments where not much is really going on and you can't figure out what you are supposed to do next. It is very easy for the boring moments to go on for hours.

Fortunately the game will easily take you 40 hours or more to complete and you will certainly want to play it at least one more time to incorporate all you learned on your first play.

Overall, Evil Genius is a great mix of strategy and campy humor that will probably keep you playing long into the night. Just don't be surprised if some of those hours are frustrating.
