(More customer reviews)The game may say Evil is good, but this one is awesome. Of the hundreds of games I have played over the year, it's the one I keep coming back to.

Why? because it's the only one I know of where you are the bad guy exclusively, and get to whup tail on those pesky heros stealing all of your hard stolen gold. Now really, somebody has to curb the population...

Where else do you get to slap you minions around, not only because they deserve it but some of them even LIKE it!

Also one of the few rel time games that does not require a powerhouse of a computer to play, and twitch monster rflexes to play.

I quote a Doctor unofficially when he said that it even helped my dad after his stroke to regain motor reflexes and improved his hand eye coordination. Now if only I could get him to officially say that. A game that's good for you even :)

It's a RPG with a twist because you ravage the landscape instead of making it better.

All I can say is... RUN LITTLE RABBITS RUN! BWA HA HA HA HAH!

(More customer reviews)If you liked Dungeon Keeper, you will probably like this particular game.Having objectives rather than just getting a bigger and bigger lair means you can actually have an end to the game----world domination.The difficulty level goes from very easy to fast and furious from the first level to the second, so if you like slow progression, you might be overwhelmed.Real-time strategy has never been my personal forte and when you have to have your fingers in several pies at once, it can become frustrating---putting out fires, both literally and figuratively.On the plus side, the concept is funny, the characters are interesting, and the music is cool.

(More customer reviews)Evil Genius is an amazingly addictive strategy game (sort of a Sims game). It has great humor, great graphics, great sound, and lots of great gameplay. Unfortunately it has some moments of really boring gameplay as well as some downright frustration.

In the game you build an evil lair and send your minions around the world doing evil deeds. Meanwhile you raise cash, more minions, build a bigger base, buid traps, and defend your base against the nasty do-gooder agents (ala James Bond) trying to take you down.

Doing all of these things is great fun. Just deciding on your base design is fun and the graphic animations are terrifc so just watching things happen is entertaining. Unfortunately you really need to read between the lines of the goals as well as read the manual a few times (and the online help) to figure out exactly how things work. It is very easy to get stuck in moments where not much is really going on and you can't figure out what you are supposed to do next. It is very easy for the boring moments to go on for hours.

Fortunately the game will easily take you 40 hours or more to complete and you will certainly want to play it at least one more time to incorporate all you learned on your first play.

Overall, Evil Genius is a great mix of strategy and campy humor that will probably keep you playing long into the night. Just don't be surprised if some of those hours are frustrating.
