(More customer reviews)I never would have bought this game for myself.I can't decide if it was out of selfish or generous intent, but my 8 year old son bought this game for me for my birthday.I am so lucky.He and I are huge fans of x-games and good video games on any platform, but I had no interest in this title (prior to owning it).
I've been playing video games for over 20 years and even compensating for the state of technology at any given time, this may be, in my opinion, the all-time best game ever.
It is so much fun, so real-feeling...I always thought the "lines" (path a person chooses through the course) were a commentator's concept, but with this game you see them, feel them.
It is incredible.Makes me feel like I can actually do the tricks in real life.I hopped on my son's skateboard in the living room and nearly killed myself as a result.
Graphics, gameplay, sound, music, cohesiveness, variety and options, controls, concept, execution, this game has it all.
Hopefully some day I will be bored with this game and can go back and finish Warcraft 3 and Max Payne which I had recently bought and was playing on the PC before this.
