Each character has different abilities and you must use them together to get through underground maze-like levels. The learning curve is reasonable, so you'll be challenged without getting stuck on the first level. Gameplay is innovative, the characters are unique, and new elements being constantly introduced keep it from getting repetive. Buy this game! I guarentee you will become addicted to this game.

Puzz3D CD: The Orient Express Review

Puzz 3D Orient Express has 4 difficulty levels, from easy to super-challenging. I started off on the third levelwhich is the challenging level. That level is just as challenging as the1000-peice puzzles you buy in the store. The only difference is this: onceyou put the puzzle together, the fun doesn't stop. The difficulty level youchoose determines how much of the Orient Express you can explore. You getto meet all kinds of different people as well as learn about the history ofthe train. Plus, during the exploration phase, there are other games alongthe way as well as clues to a mystery guest who is supposed to board thetrain. I haven't finished the exploration portion yet, but I am alreadythinking about going back to rebuild the train at the super-challenginglevel. This way, I will have unlimited access to the entire train. ThisPuzzle is very addictive and fun.

(More customer reviews)This game is mostly an "I Spy" type game with some other kinds of puzzles as well.It is moved forward by dialogue between historical characters. The graphics are nice.My kids age 8, 6, and 4 really enjoyed the free trial and are lobbying for me to buy it.

It is not historically accurate.Even in the limited dialogue, my kids were pointing out errors from our two week study of John Smith, Jamestown, and Pocahontas.

By googling the title of this game you can easily find a one hour free trial download to help you decide if you want to buy it.We probably will be doing so.

Guess what!It is on the disc, for which I paid full price.The game manager opens their web site and downloads information about other games they are pitching, interrupts games to download "updates", etc.When game manager is disengaged, the game runs slowly while the "manager" tries to go to the web, and eventually locks my computer.I was left with a lot of junk to uninstall, if you can find it embedded with unrecognizable tags. (More customer reviews)Pure Hidden is an incredible potpourri of activities from a hidden object pop art collage of superman floating in a Las Vegas skyline, to a beautiful leafy scene full of diabolically hidden butterflies, to magnificent assemblies of Ukrainian eggs, to funny puzzles like connecting a series of water pipes, to creating your own artistic masterpiece with stencils and paints. Many of the mini-games are easy enough for kids but the hidden objects in cartoon like environments are incredibly hard to find ( 30 or more items) so a kid and an adult can play side by side with great mutual contentment and joy.

There is no plot, you are not breaking a wicked curse, chasing a villain or finding an absent-minded professor's glasses. Each completed level adds flowers and fruit to a graceful tree, which you build as you go along.

Pure Hidden is really one big activity box, highly original, visually stunning and just plain fun, even quirky, a gem for the young and young at heart!

The Scruffs Review

(More customer reviews)This is my first Amazon game download and, since it's 'free' I can't see how I could possibly complain.

The start is a little depressing: daddy just got fired and the family needs to sell the house but... wait... grand daddy, an 'old timer' kind of... remembers that there was something that, if found, maybe they didn't have to sell the house.

What follows is a series of puzzles where you must find various items inside rooms full of hundreds of artifacts. Then, if you do find them, you restore a torn picture off its fragments and then... there's some secret code that it's revealed if you find more items and so on, and so forth...

Not bad, for something that's 'free' (it was so when I downloaded it). You get a story line and you it's a pretty good brain tease.

The following are notable features:

- Compatible with Windows XP, Vista.
- Plays in a window or 'full screen' - resolution seems to be 800x600.
- Time constrained or 'relaxed' mode.
- Some help is available if you really, really can't find an item.
- When played in a window, the game (clock) stops whenever the game is not the 'active' window.
- I experienced no display issues on a Vista laptop
- I found no evidence of any malware/spyware attached to this game. So far, the game played cleanly, strictly on my computer - did not have to reach out over the Net for anything.

Overall, not a bad game, if you have the time and the patience. I've been actually playing it for the past couple of days and, to my surprise, my 11 yr. old kid asked that I downloaded a copy to his own laptop.

- I had to install Amazon's 'downloader' software before downloading the game itself. It was pretty quick and it appears to be harmless.
- When installed, if you keep the defaults, all games go as subfolders inside a folder named Amazon Games.

(More customer reviews)I loved Cradle of Rome, and this game is a fantastic sequel!Egypt is identical in format.You get to build your own civilization by earning gold and resources through game play - match at least three symbols to clear the blue tiles from the board.The symbols are new, vibrant and beautiful, and for a little extra fun when you've finished clearing tiles, you get a lapis lazuli scarab beetle which has to be dropped off the board before your water pitcher timer runs empty!

The tile swapping movement is smooth as silk in this game, I noticed it immediately.New symbols fall in fast like silky lightning.This game is very nicely done, and is already a must play for me all the way through to the end.It's highly addictive and gorgeous.....if you love Jewel Quest or other gem swapping puzzle games, this one is outstanding!

You just click on set of 4 and keep clikcing til it rotates to where you make at least 3.Then there are the flaming bomb jewels. If you match them they explode all around. But my sons think the lightening ones are the coolest. When they are matched, theywill do a lightening strike to destroy jewels across and down in t shape. See how many lines you can destroy.

Very fast moving and very fun for all ages that can click and move a mouse.The graphics are very colorful and make this game fun and exciting.Great Family game highly reccommend for all.

The new game exhibits a high level of polish and production values, including nice animations in between levels, fun explosion effects when power-ups are used, and extras like being able to watch an instant replay of high-scoring matches.
Four Different Play Modes
Bejeweled Twist features four different play modes: Classic, Challenge, Zen and Blitz. Classic mode lets you progress through increasingly difficult levels where you try to create jewel chains before a bomb detonates. Challenge mode creates specific tasks for you to complete, such as destroying ten gems in one move. In Blitz mode, you frantically try to accumulate as many points as you can within a certain amount of time. And in Zen mode, you can play a relaxing game without any obstacles or timers.
There are various power-ups that can be used for higher scores, such as a lightning gem, which you'll receive by matching five gems at once. The lightning gem then eliminates the entire vertical or horizontal column or row where the gem is located. When a you get consecutive matches to max out the chain meter, you'll receive a fruit gem that destroys all same-colored gems.
Like all great puzzle games, you'll be surprised how fast that time flies while playing Bejeweled Twist.

(More customer reviews)Is there anything this game can't do?For only 200 megabits of space, it is unbelievably amazing how much this game has to offer.The HD graphics are out of this world.And that's right from the start menu, to the actual playing of the game.

Bejeweled 3 has 8 different games you can play.4 of them which you can play as soon as you begin, and then the other 4 games you have to unlock by completing different challenges through out the other 4 games.I have unlocked 2 so far.Which were fairly easy.The other 2 to unlock are a bit of a challenge.Another amazing new feature are the number of badges you could win while playing.You can also build up in rank the more you play.

4 Basic Games:
*Classic Mode - The classic Bejeweled game we all know and love.This part hasn't changed at all.So hardcore Bejeweled fans will be pleased.
*Zen Mode - The endless version of the game that we also adore.However prepare to adore it even more. (Oh, yes!It's possible)The new zen version now has an option that it is just too good to be true.Can't stand the music of bejeweled? (Why anyone would is beyond me) Well, now there is an option to replace the music with actual relaxing sounds of nature.Yeah, you heard me.It's like having a sound machine on your computer.So if the music doesn't do it for you, perhaps the different sounds will please your ears.
*Lightning Mode - You only have a minute to to match as many gems as you can, but some gems have extra time on them.Match an extra time gem and it adds an additional 5,10, or 30 seconds to the clock.
*Quest Mode - The brand new main feature that makes Bejeweled 3 what it s.In Quest mode you have 40 different challenging puzzles to complete.Definitely time consuming!

With all the different ways to play as stated above, it's pretty fair to say that this game is highly addictive.The endless possibilities of the game are so entertaining that it's quite difficult to become bored while playing.

My only somewhat complaint is the music and backgrounds.I am not saying they are horrible.On the contrary the music and backgrounds are very relaxing to listen to, and look at.But you don't get the exact same euphoric feeling that you did from the previous versions of Bejeweled.The music and the background themes are very child like fairy tale oriented.Nothing wrong with that.It's in no way annoying.But what I loved about the older versions of Bejeweled was that relaxing trance like music, and tranquil backgrounds that made you feel like you were taking a slow trip to a futuristic paradise.This version lacks that experience.While the music and backgrounds on Bejeweled 3 are still very nice, the feeling you get from them makes you feel like you took a trip back in time by a few hundred years.Which is just not my cup of coffee (I don't say tea because I don't like tea)

Overall though this won't fail to disappoint any fans of the older Bejeweled games.The creators have definitely outdone themselves, and the game is worth more than $20.So if you're looking for a cheap, but very fun way to relax.Look no further.Happy gem matching!
