Cradle of Rome Review

I have 7 Wonders on DS and it was previously my favorite game. This has far surpassed that!It is similar to 7 Wonders in that you have to line up 3 matching "symbols" to clear blocks. The difference with Cradle of Rome is that there seems to be more of a goal rather than just endlessly matching tiles. In this game there are food, resources, and gold tiles which when you clear you collect to help you build your city. There are also many more bonuses and extras that help you to clear rounds and build your city.Overall it is very fun and not too hard nor too easy.I have been playing it non stop since I got it. I think the replay value on this is good as well.If you liked 7 Wonders or similar game I would highly recommend this!

Build the heart of the Ancient Roman Empire and become the Emperor!Welcome to the birth of the Roman Empire where players re-create the legendary city of old using a unique variation of the much-loved Match-3 puzzle mechanic. Gather resources (wood, tools, gold, etc) by matching rows of 3 or more and obtain as many as you can before the time runs out.The more you gather, the faster you can build the city. Start with a lowly saw mill and progress to gain access to historical monuments such as the Arch of Titus, the Temples of Venus and Saturn and eventually the mighty Coliseum. A vast array of bonus tools adds even more incentive to continue the game for as long as possible. Unlocking these tools not only makes clearing the board easier, but also increases the opportunity to gather more resources, gold, and treasure!

Jewel Master: Cradle of Athena Review

you're going to love Cradle of Athena.Same type of game play with some new twists and new graphics. I don't even regret (too much)pre-odering and paying $19.99 for it and it's now $14.99.This is a great game for an excellent reduced price! If you've been disappointed in the recent match 3 game releases this one will restore your faith.I breezed through levels 1-18, but on level 19 things started getting tough and by level 21 are getting even tougher. This game has 100 levels and you must build all 20 buildings before the 100th level or you won't get Athena built and will have to start over!!

Jewel Quest Mysteries 2: Trail of the Midnight Heart Review

Jewel Quest Mysteries 2: Trail of the Midnight Heart
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
You are following the intrepid Eva as she explores steamy jungles, a gorgeous scene of the Taj Mahal, vine- choked exotic ruins, mysterious temples and much more in southwest Asia and in Australia -20 different beautifully created scenes in all. You are going to be kept busy not only looking for relics and the tools to dig them up with but searching for exotic jewels and gold coins, ways to increase your hint bank and your score.

The objects are very well hidden and you're going to need every hint you can get. The search areas are timed and if you click three times on the wrong thing, your time is lopped 30 seconds. If you can't find all those omelets, hot dogs, jukeboxes, tambourines and what-have-you before time is up, you have to play that whole level again. The objects themselves do not shift location, but perhaps one fault of the game is that you are required to return to the same scene too many times whether or not you are repeating a level.

Each environmental location contains a hummingbird bearing a shard, and when you`ve collected enough shards they'll form a board, and you'll play a match- three mini game. Every few levels you're treated to a nice HOG variation. In one of these, when gliding from left to right and while you're looking out a plane window, you're obliged to grab twenty feathers which are cleverly attached to clouds and mountains. You have to hustle a bit to do it.

There is plenty going on in this game and over all it's nicely put together. The art work is simply beautiful and combined with the wonderful Middle Eastern music you'll quickly be immersed in the adventure.

This game was a surprise to me after I tried it.

I thought, oh great, another match 3 game, but the music, graphics, sound effects and everything are very relaxing. It is quite a good game and for $10 it is an even better game.

Try the trial version, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how good this under-rated gem is!

Jewel Quest Review

Jewel Quest
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I recently started playing several computer games, and this one was recommended to me by a friend - she said it could be addicting, and I must say that she was right!

I have been playing Jewel Quest on and off for several months now, and it seems as if the levels will never end.I think this is a good thing, because once you solve a game, you usually don't play it again.Because of the sheer # of levels, this game can provide many, many hours of enjoyment (or frustration....)

One of the great features of this game is that you are never made to start all over again - You keep working on the same board until you conquer it.After you've attempted the same board several times without beating it, you are given the option to just skip that particular level, and move on.I personally never choose that option, but I like to know that the option is available if I get too frustrated with the difficulty of a particular section.

The goal of Jewel Quest is to match various items - you must match at least 3 of the same item in a row or colum.By doing this, you turn the "sand" tiles to "gold", and you must get the entire grid gold within a specific period of time.It may sound easy, but as you move along the levels, it actually gets quite difficult.

Overall, I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys matching games where there is increasing levels of difficulty. My thought is that it's probably more appropriate for adults as opposed to children.

Jewel Master: Egypt Review

Jewel Master: Egypt
Average Reviews:

I loved Cradle of Rome, and this game is a fantastic sequel!Egypt is identical in format. You get to build your own civilization by earning gold and resources through game play - match at least three symbols to clear the blue tiles from the board. The symbols are new, vibrant and beautiful, and for a little extra fun when you've finished clearing tiles, you get a lapis lazuli scarab beetle which has to be dropped off the board before your water pitcher timer runs empty!

The tile swapping movement is smooth as silk in this game, I noticed it immediately.New symbols fall in fast like silky lightning. This game is very nicely done, and is already a must play for me all the way through to the end. It's highly addictive and gorgeous.....if you love Jewel Quest or other gem swapping puzzle games, this one is outstanding!

4 Elements Review

Puzzle gamers will find 4 Elements addictive! I love that, unlike most games where you have a limited number of "lives," this game runs continuously (if you run out of time, you can keep retrying). Also the three different phases -- treasure hunts followed by puzzle path clearing leading to comparing pictures -- keeps it from getting boring.

Bejeweled 2 Review

Bejeweled 2
Average Reviews:

I got lucky and won a copy of Bejeweled 2 and it has many more ways to play it compared to the first version. The colors are great and help make the game lots of fun. They have even given the game some new twists for reaching certain scores. In my case I unlocked a new way to play the original version of the game when I reached 200,000 points. It is called Twilight and gives the illusion of no gravity for the jewels. They are added to the playing area from either the top or the bottom. It can and will help kill plenty of time.
