Xbox 360 Memory Unit 512MB Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I purchased this memory card to move my profile and saved games from one Xbox 360 to a newer one, and it worked perfectly. The process of copying data from the hard drive to the memory card is simple and fast, and I may keep the card as a backup in case something happens to our new Xbox in the future.

4/5 stars, however, because I consider this product to be far overpriced for what it is. Since the Xbox 360 has standard USB ports, the only thing preventing you from using a standard USB drive (flash or hard drive) to backup your data is the built-in limitations of the Xbox itself. This feels unfair, as the only reason I can think for not allowing the use of USB drives for storage was to force people to buy overpriced memory cards and hard drives.

This is just an inconvenience, and I can't complain too much since I did buy one. If you need a way to backup your save games, or if you are buying a newer machine and want to transfer your data, this is the best way to go, and I do recommend buying one for that purpose.

Xbox 360 Wireless Halo 3 Spartan Controller Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This device works the same as all previous Xbox 360 controllers only with more attractive graphics on the front. Only die hard Halo fans need apply. What do you get for an extra $10? just the pretty looks and a little plastic army man (Okay, it is Spartan 117). I was disappointed that it did not come with the rechargeable battery for the extra money which is the reason for the lower review however, it is still a rock solid product and is recommended for the fanboy in us all.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance Gold Edition Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Basically for those who dont know, the Gold Edition of UA is basically the patches and hero/villian pack you can buy for 800 gamer points off Xbox Live, This is worth buying if you dont own it already, if you do, your better off just getting a gamer point card for 20$ and downloading the hero/villian pack. However for first time players, get this.

Forza Motorsport 2 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)If you're looking for a great racing sim along the lines of the Gran Turismo series, with the in-depth customization aspects of your car's appearance found in the NFS: Underground series, and the online options of the PGR series...then Forza 2 comes highly recommended. It really is a nice combo of those games(ironically, i don't know how well it compares with its direct sibling Forza 1 cause i never played it).

Anyway, the graphics are quite good and more importantly the framerates are 60fps-smooth, which are very important for racing games(esp racers where you drive in a pack). The customization options are extensive and it has been amazing going to websites and seeing what everyone has accomplished by using these comprehensive tools to enhance their cars visually. By itself, this aspect of the game could keep you busy for hrs on end at a time (esp if you have an artistic touch). As for the racing, it's easy to get into as it allows you to customize the difficulty level at anytime during the game which makes it a more pick-up-and-play game than most other racing sims i would think. You can make the game as challenging or as easy as you want, but either way you can earn/access stuff pretty quickly.

Overall, i'm not much into the "GT vs PGR vs Forza" wars or "PS3 vs 360" battle, but if you enjoy racing sims(esp with all the options mentioned above and more) then i highly recommend you at least give Forza 2 a shot.It might not make you forget about all other racing sims, but it will definitely keep you busy in the long haul. All i know is i bought it, playing it quite a bit, and enjoying it quite a lot.(4 1/2 stars)

Project Gotham Racing 4 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Some racing games are a little too sim for me, like Gran Turismo and Forza. I don't care about adjusting gear ratios.

Some racing games are a little too arcade for me, like Burnout.

Some racing games just aren't my style, like the NFS street racing games of the last few years. I don't want to lower my car and get a huge wing on my Eclipse.

I still enjoy those racing games, but for me, PGR 4 (and PGR 3) is a perfect combination of simulation and arcade racing. The feel is "sim" enough to require a lot of practice to get really good, but forgiving enough to be fun from the start. The graphics are fantastic, the online play is great, and even the music is diverse and entertaining.

Also, You can drive amazing cars from the beginning, unlike GT, Forza, and NFS. I don't like being stuck with a Mazda Miata for the first few days. I see a lot of Miata's in real life. This is a videogame. I want to drive a Ferrari.

Get this game if you're looking for a great all-around racing game.

Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)As you can see from the other reviews, this device works very well for some, and not so well for others.Putting aside the interference problem with other 2.4ghz devices such as mice (2.4ghz wireless routers will NOT give you problems), I believe there is a single solution to almost everyone's problem, which I will outline below.

After installing the device & software, I couldn't get my black wireless xbox360 elite controller to sync with the receiver. The ring light on the controller would rotate while trying to connect to the receiver. The light on the receiver would blink attempting to locate the controller. After a few seconds, the ring on the controller would stop rotating, and start blinking.A connection could not be made.

After some research, I found the solution. The issue is with USB power. The receiver needs A LOT of it.If you have other devices on your USB, especially high powered USB keyboards or mice, the receiver might not work.Try removing all USB devices and rebooting your PC with only a PS/2 mouse and keyboard connected. The receiver and controller should sync up immediately, even before you finish booting into windows. This fixed my problem.

If this is your problem, there are two solutions.1) a USB PCI interface card, or 2) an externally powered USB hub (NOT BUS POWERED).I believe the receiver needs a lot of power because its capable of syncing to four separate devices. The USB on most motherboards simply isn't strong enough.Hope this helps.

Xbox 360 Black Play & Charge Kit Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is a must have with your 360 and a controller. And in black to match your Elite controllers.

You can plug it in via USB to your Xbox 360 and charge the included battery pack while you play your game.

You can also remove your battery pack, and plug the cable directly to your 360 for wired gaming (so your controller won't shut off while you are in the middle of that hired driver Forza race.

This charges via any USB port on your 360, your computer, your cable box, or your dog (if he has included USB hub).

I recommend buying one of these, then buying the Quick Charge Kit.Then you'll have 2 battery packs, the quick charge dock, and a USB charge cable.
