No you can't change partners in VS mode but this can be done in Crossover mode so it's really no big deal if you ask me. I've play the arcade version and most of the combos were saved and put in the playstation version. This game isamazing and addicted. The gameplay is furious and the graphics areexcellent and are not that far off dreamcast's. The game is great for comicbook junkies like me who use to argue in their youth over who would winSpiderman or The Hulk? These game has alot of eye candy and with verydifferent settings to battle thru. The sound in this game is clear. Pleasedon't listen to the bad reviews or you are gonna miss out on a greatgame. Plus there is no blood in this game so it makes it perfect to playwith the kids
