(More customer reviews)I purchased this product to use optical audio out with HDMI on my xbox.With this dongle plugged in, my XBOX restarts if I switch inputs on my monitor or switch the monitor off then back on.Xbox acts normal without the dongle plugged in.
I found that these non-genuine versions are missing a connection between pins inside the connector.Google "xbox hdmi optical restart" and look for an avsforum result.You will need to connect two pins via a wire or soldering.
I have filed a complaint on my purchase so we'll see if I can get a refund since it does not work as it should.
