This edition of Clue contains great grapics, cool jazz music (which they should have on while you play the game as well). The animation flows without any bugs and you can play different levels like easy, medium, hard. Not the best game available so wait until this one is on sale.

This is an awsome game. The graphics are almost the same as Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for PS2 (they look nothing like on the cover). This is a little bit challenging for the first game released, but with a little bit of strategy and logic...all the tasks come together.I loved how well it followed the movie.I gave this game 5 stars because it is VERY addictive and EXTREMELY fun.Hope this review helped.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Review

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

This GBA game is a very well done RPG rendering of the omonimous Harry Potter book.
You control the wizardly trio (Harry, Ron, Hermione) in the quest to unveil and defeat the traitor that caused the death of Harry's parents.
The story starts out with a well done and useful tutorial: while on the Hogwarts Express you have to try to capture Ron's pet rat (or whatever kind of rodent it actually is).
The story then unveils in Hogwarts. You can explore with your party the various chambers of the academ, visit locations you are familiar with either from the movie or the book, and make many pleasent encounters with notorious Hogwarts characters.
Combat is turn based and all members of the party have their own special powers. Furthermore, you get 17 spells you can learn and find in the game that will enhance your party's power and there are a lot of in game items with which you can buff up your characters' defenses and main game characteristics.
Overall the game is a very nice RPG, very simple and charming. Graphics is ok, as the overall quality of the game. Expect to play for no more than 20 hours though. Replay value is not that high, as you will be able to retain all the levels you accumulated in the first game (monsters instead don't improve at all).
Bottom line:
This is a very nice Harry Potter game. I love how EA transformed it in a complete and simple RPG. I strongly suggest any Harry Potter fan to buy this.

My 7 year old daughter and I have been searching for a good computer game to play ever since we finished up 101 Dalmations on the PC more than a year ago. I've read her the first three Harry Potter books, and then discovered this collection. It is a big winner.

You get four different games (which each originally sold for the cost of this collection, or more). We finished the Sorcerers Stone in about two weeks of evening play. It has plenty of play value to get us to go back, mainly to find the hidden secrets we did not find the first time, and to play some better games of Quiddich.

We have just begun playing the Chamber of Secrets. Everything about this one is an upgrade from Sorcerer's Stone: smoother play, more spells, more hidden areas, new activities, new features. We are enjoying it immensely.

Some kids are game fanatics, and can handle the controls alone. Another reviewer was correct, a game controller makes these much easier. My daughter and I share the controls when we play together. In these games, she takes the mouse to cast spells and direct Harry's point of view, I work the arrow keys to move us around. We have quite a lot of fun together this way.

The games feature the same story line and content as the books. Expect the same (very low) violence level as the books.

So I'm giving this bundle 5 stars based on just games. Heck, I would have given it 4 stars for the Sorcerer's Stone alone, or 5 stars for the Chamber of Secrets alone. This is a super value.

Many games based on movies are just bad. For example, the game of Tarzan for psx [stunk] big time, or the Emperor's New Groove, or the Fifth Element. When i heard of Harry Potter coming out for the psx, i tought it was going to be as bad as any game based on a movie. I was a bit wrong. This game is very fun...while it lasts! Check out the good and bad things about it below:
The Good Things:
-Somethings are based on the book
-The characters are just the same as in the movie
-Hogwarts is huge, there is plenty to explore
-You assist all classes including the quidditch practice
-You fight against Voldermort and Quirell
-The magic spells are amazing: Incendio, Alohamora, Wigardium Leviosa, etc.
The Bad Things:
-There are too many things that are not in the book
-Harry Potter doesn't talk
-The conversations between characters are briefly
-The battle against Voldemort is quite pathetic
-The end is very bad
-Many things are briefly described by the narrator in a book
-The forbidden forest is not scary
-Voldemort appears frequently using a green magic
-All the magic used by Harry is basically following the order of bottoms. Example: Press X then O and finally X again: very simple
-Very short and easy
Overall, the game is a worth buying game for any Harry Potter fan.

I think this game is the best game since Super Mario Kart on the Super Nintendo! I don't actually have the game yet,but I've playedit once and it is really fun! You start the game in Privet Drive then move on to Diagon Alley where you buy all your wizarding needs. Ofcourse you first must navigate through the Gringotts maze to get you money. Once you have all your supplies,to the Hogwarts Express! After the Hogwarts Express you get to Hogwarts finaly. The castle is huge! You collect and trade wizard cards to improve Harry's strength. This game is really fun and will definately be a huge hit among gamers so it would be smart to reserve it,or you'll find yourself with an empty shelf. Thanks and see you at Hogwarts!

Leave the nonmagical world of the Muggles behind to play as Harry Potter in the Game Boy Color release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Experience the wizardry, adventure, and thrills of life at Hogwarts.
As the game begins, you're starting your first year at Hogwarts. Explore the school and its grounds, gather items for potions, cast spells, and take on a range of adversaries in turn-based wizard challenges. Solve action-oriented puzzles with Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Albus Dumbledore, and a host of unforgettable characters from the J.K. Rowling book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone--the book that started it all.
Colorful graphics render Harry's enchanted world in spirited detail, making the journey from Privet Drive to Diagon Alley and the Gringotts, then onto Hogwarts and the Forbidden Forest, all the more fun. You can also trade and collect famous wizard cards to unlock rewards and increase Harry's skills. You can trade cards with a friend using a Game Link cable. And as you garner experience points for Harry, you can upgrade spells and improve Harry's strength so he can take on new opponents.

Harry Potter Deluxe Edition (Sorcerers Stone and Chamber of Secrets) Review

Harry Potter Deluxe Edition
Average Reviews:

As with most video games, the better the graphics, the more memory you need. If you have an old Mac, or a Mac not made for gaming (OLD iBooks, imacs and G3s), check your memory... if you have never upgraded, this game could quit. Quit ALL the other applications you might have open before running the game. That might help. OS9 is too old for most video games too. Try to have at least OS 10.2.

If you have a relatively new Mac OS, good memory, fast processor (newer, with a relatively good graphics card), this is a great game for younger kids.

Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets Review

Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets
Average Reviews:

The Chamber of Secrets game follows Harry in his second year at Hogwarts as he attends classes, duels, and plays quidditch. The game opens with Harry meeting Ginny and Mr. Malfoy at Flouish and Botts, and we see Malfoy put the Diary in Ginny's bag. Ron and Harry fly their car to school and land in the Whomping Willow. Then, it's off to classes, just like in Game I, and we get to meet Gilderoy Lockhart. You also meet a lot of tiresome fire crabs and orange snails, which you not only knock out, you can push around. You get wizard cards and beans all the time. You'll need the beans to trade for potion ingredients.
Some nice improvements over Game I are: The character's mouths move when they talk, Harry turns around when you back him up, and you're told if doors aren't going to open so that saves trying again and again. Best of all, you can press Enter to bypass the cutscenes!
I don't like that you get a Loading Game screen every ten minutes or so. You can wander all over the school at any time, which, while fun, can get you off-track if you want to complete a challenge. The Save Game books are still too far apart. There are also long periods without music, and the music isn't as eerie as in Game I. But these are all minor things compared to the overall excitement of the game.(Hint:you'll need to make lots of potions to complete the Aragog and Basilisk scenes.)
It's definitely addicting and lots of fun for all Harry Potter fans, especially if you liked Game I. Have fun. (P.S.I hope you're not afraid of spiders!)

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 Review

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
As with many people, I found this game to be wonderful, magical, fun, clever, and satisfying. And I am a grownup.Go figure.I have enjoyed the other Lego games and thanks to the dedication to the source material, this game really clicked with me.

But since I have little to say that hasn't already been said by many other glowing reviews, I wanted to offer something that might be helpful to other gamers, a tip that I myself was unable to find on the forums and therefore wanted to share the fix.I am sure I am not the only person who ran into this particular glitch, so here it is.

I am sandbox play person, someone who loves to systematically explore everything before moving on to another level, and when I began running through Hogwarts during the first level or two, I smashed and charmed everything I could find and somehow managed to enter a courtyard I may not have been expected to enter at that stage of the game. This didn't cause any problems until after I left Snape's potion lab and discovered that every time I followed the ghost's directions to get outside to what would eventually be the greenhouse area, the game would freeze up when I entered the aforementioned courtyard.EVERY time.

I tried cleaning the disk, and even tried another disk of the game, and it froze every time and broke my heart.I searched forums and while many glitches were reported and even a few suggestions, I found no description of that particular glitch, and wondered if there was something wrong with my Wii, such as limited memory or something.

This is what I stumbled upon: I erased the saved game and started fresh, which was a bit tedious considering you don't get to skip the animation sequences. This time around, instead of running amuck and exploring everything, I followed the ghosts' directions and went where the game wanted me to go.Needless to say, the levels played very quickly, but suddenly I found myself past the freezing glitch and into many more levels. After I had completed those levels, I copied the saved game file to my SD card for safekeeping, as I knew that save was a good one, and could go back into the game and free play and explore to my heart's content. And if I find another freeze glitch, I can copy the saved game file from the SD card back onto the Wii itself and continue from that point.

Bottom line: the game design somehow made it so that you might inadvertently get ahead of the game's intentions by exploring too much, and if that happens, the game gets confused when it finds you had already done something it wasn't expecting you to have done yet, and it freezes. The best way to avoid this is to go where the game tells you to, THEN free play later and explore.

Yes, this was very frustrating for me to figure out, and certainly could have been avoidable by the game designers. However, the overall pleasure I got from the game compensates for the issue, and I won't really hold it against anyone, at least not now that I solved what turned out to be the biggest unintentional puzzle of the game for me.

Hope this helps any of you who may run into the same problem! Now go enjoy this delightful game!
