Before the wild success of Pokémon, there was a little-known pocket creaturegame for the Nintendo that received considerably less fanfare and much critical acclaim. DragonWarrior: Monsters is an updated version of the innovative 1989 game Dragon Warrior. As withPokémon, you must find and capture creatures, and you can trade them with yourfriends.
While 151 pocket monsters wander through the various Pokémon games, DragonWarrior: Monsters features over 200 monsters to collect in this single title. When you have capturedthem, you can breed and train your monsters to develop special skills. With the optional game link cable, you can battle or breed with other monsters captured by a friend.

Super Mario Brothers Deluxe Review

This is an excellent adaption of the original game to the Game Boy Color. Now you can play the classic, history-making first game anywhere, even if you don't have a tv or plugg-ins! There are a whole lot of add-ons to thisgame. First of all, they changed some parts of the game for the better. Then they also added the lost levels of the game that can only be accessedwhen you reach a specific high score (of which I can't remember). They alsohave a racing activity with Boo the ghost and a challenge version of thegame where finding red coins and Yoshi's eggs are as important as finishingthe levels, too. And there's also a "verses" edition, where youcan play against one of your friends (or enemies, of course). Whoeveradapted this game to the Game Boy Color said "I want this version ofthe game to be even better," and they did a wonderful job. Thegraphics even look better! The Game Boy screen is too small to fit theentire layout of the levels onto it at the same time, so you have to lookaround using the "Up" and "Down" buttons. But that'sokay, 'cause that just adds on to the challenge of the game! I only gavethis video game 4 1/2 stars because you will still want to see yourselfplay on the big screen, but I would recommend this version of the classicgame to anyone who liked it back in 1985. You'll probobly like this versioneven better!

Warp zones, secret coin rooms, and hidden vines are tucked away behind breakableblocks, which taught gamers back in the early '80s to explore everynook and cranny. Pokemon, Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition Review

Pokemon, Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition

My kids and I all love the Pokemon Gameboys (the three of us each have our own Gameboy). The blue Pokemon game is very similar to the red, with the Yellow having some slight differences.
The foremost of these is the factthat Pikachu just won't stay in his Pokeball! He follows you around in thegame, and you have to keep him happy or you lose points and variousopportunities. I also like the addition of Jesse and James (characters fromthe cartoon), and the additional battles they provide. If I had to pickjust one of the three, this is the one I'd pick.
I like the way thePokemon game challenges kids. I suggest also buying one of the books whichshows the various routes and places. This allows kids to work at the taskswithout getting frustrated.
The idea is to start at Prof. Oak's house, get your first Pokemon from him, and then journey all around the land ofPokemon, collecting various wild pokemon (which you catch by battling themuntil they faint), and doing battle with other trainers along the way.
Inthe process, kids learn to manuever through mazes of increasing complexity(which is why the manuals are a help), to gather and use items, and todevelop strategies for fighting various types of Pokemon. My five year-oldeven started to read while using her Gameboy, from needing to know whichitems she had with her (in her Item List)!
All in all these are greatgames which can be played over and over (although only one game at a timecan be saved), and which will provide your kids with hundreds of hours offun.

Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone Review

I think this game is the best game since Super Mario Kart on the Super Nintendo! I don't actually have the game yet,but I've playedit once and it is really fun! You start the game in Privet Drive then move on to Diagon Alley where you buy all your wizarding needs. Ofcourse you first must navigate through the Gringotts maze to get you money. Once you have all your supplies,to the Hogwarts Express! After the Hogwarts Express you get to Hogwarts finaly. The castle is huge! You collect and trade wizard cards to improve Harry's strength. This game is really fun and will definately be a huge hit among gamers so it would be smart to reserve it,or you'll find yourself with an empty shelf. Thanks and see you at Hogwarts!

Product Description:
Leave the nonmagical world of the Muggles behind to play as Harry Potter in the Game Boy Color release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Experience the wizardry, adventure, and thrills of life at Hogwarts.
As the game begins, you're starting your first year at Hogwarts. Explore the school and its grounds, gather items for potions, cast spells, and take on a range of adversaries in turn-based wizard challenges. Solve action-oriented puzzles with Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Albus Dumbledore, and a host of unforgettable characters from the J.K. Rowling book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone--the book that started it all.
Colorful graphics render Harry's enchanted world in spirited detail, making the journey from Privet Drive to Diagon Alley and the Gringotts, then onto Hogwarts and the Forbidden Forest, all the more fun. You can also trade and collect famous wizard cards to unlock rewards and increase Harry's skills. You can trade cards with a friend using a Game Link cable. And as you garner experience points for Harry, you can upgrade spells and improve Harry's strength so he can take on new opponents.

In this game it is much more like reality. People make fair trades and only trade realistically. This is the best, most fun, and most challenging Pokemon game yet. Not to mention you get a free holographic Meowth when youbuy it.
