(More customer reviews)This game is a great game for young girls.I got it for my daughter on PS2. She's ten and loved it. The story is basic, you have to rescue missing baby horses, but there are hidden coins and presents that let you unlock new outfits for Barbie and customize her horse. A couple of the puzzles were a little challenging, but nothing she couldn't figure out.It was fun for her to jump things and race her friends. Probably my biggest complaint is that controlling the horse takes a little to get the hang of, but after some practice, it became no problem. I recommend this game for any little girl who loves horses like my daughter.She and her brother had fun challenging each other with the multiplayer, too. It's not violent or dark and scary, just a fun and engaging adventure.

1. Right-click on the desktop, then left-click on New, Shortcut.
2. For the command line, put in "d:\barbie.exe" (where "d:" is the drive letter for the CD on your system).
3. Click Next.
4. Put in the description for this shortcut, such as Barbie Hair Styler.
5. Click Finish.

Make sure the CD is in the drive, then run it from this new shortcut.

(More customer reviews)My daughter, like many, is infacutated with everything Barbie, She was 3 when I bought this for her and she played it for hours.I was amazed at how many times she would change an outfit, and slightly horrified at her make-up choices.Artistically, this is a great game.My daughter loved being able to create a look for her Barbie, and I got a kick out of seeing what she would come up with.
First, you choose an event.It could be a birthday party, a movie premiere, a first date etc... and then you basically cycle through 4 boutiques: Hair, Nails, Clothing, and Make-up.Once you finish those you get a short replay of your makeover and then watched a short animation of your finished character participating in whatever event you chose.I think I would have appreciated it more if it gave you more options for the hair. It's inconsequestial fun, but fun nonetheless...definitely for the girly girl.

I've worked with our local Humane Society for several years, so I am a little critical when I see games with animals.The stunning realism and character of these animals is astounding.Their expressions and actions convey a sense of genuine personality. As for the games, I think each one of my daughters friends has a different favorite. The puppy treat toss game seems to be their overall fave. As for the Amazon.com review, it said their were only 8 missions; we have found 15 different rescue scenerios so far, with even more rescue variations. I don't think the tester used the e-mail for new rescues. In summation, if you have a young girl on your Christmas list, this game is a must.

(More customer reviews)This game requires DirectX 9.0 and video card that supports 3D and 32mb (not 16 as stated above) of video RAM. I've got a Sony VAIO 2.66ghz P4 with all the latest drivers and updates. This system tests out as optimal on all sorts of web sites for evaluating your system. However, this game will not run on this system. Unless you've got a system specifically set up for gaming, I think theres a pretty good chance it won't run on your system. Don't disappoint your little girl with this software. Before buying, install the latest DirectX from the Microsoft website, then go START>Run>dxdiag, then run all the tests. If you don't pass the Direct3D 9 test, don't buy it.

Barbie Magic of Pegasus Review

(More customer reviews)Gameboy games for young girls are hard to come by so we purchased this game for our young daughter for her 5th birthday. She is a big fan of princesses and adored the "Barbie Princess and the Pauper" gameboy game so this was a perfect fit for her.

The game itself mirrors the gameplay and animation of the "Princess and the Pauper" game. In "Barbie Magic of Pegasus," Princess Annika has to find certain objects, uncover clues and defeat enemies to advance to the next level. My daughter (and even her older brother) has been playing this non-stop since she got it.I suppose this is the best compliment she - and I - can give this game. It is fun and not too difficult for a 5 year old to pick up and play.

This game has since joined "Barbie Princess and the Pauper" and "Strawberry Shortcake" as her favorite Gameboy Games. I would recommend it for girls ages 4 to 12 and for anyone who loves Barbie or princesses.

Barbie Princess and the Pauper Review

(More customer reviews)My daughter went head-over-heels for the "Barbie in the Princess and the Pauper" movie, so naturally, she just had to have the game for her computer.The game's lovely graphics and professional vocals and audio effects do the movie great justice, as the player controls "Erica," completing a variety of missions.The missions are stereotypical kinds of things that little girls go crazy for, such as growing flowers, decorating the castle, baking and decorating cakes, and so forth.There are a few more non-stereotypical missions, too, but they're in the minority (which is fine for my daughter, being the "princess" that she is).

Sadly, as with other players, she cannot actually finish the game and get to the coronation finale at the end.The same bug that has plagued so many others has hit her copy as well: "Erica" can no longer sing, and therefore cannot locate the other singers necessary for the coronation.

Worse, Vivendi Universal's technical support has only "canned" responses that would help if it were related to driver incompatibility.But this is a plain, old fashioned, software bug, and that's something they just can't help with.

Don't risk disappointing your own kids: pass this title by.

(More customer reviews)We gave my 5 year old this for Christmas.Everyone played it and she's still playing it months later.It's by far her favorite game (unfortunately it's not a learning game!)Her 12 year old cousin keeps borrowing it also, and her grandfather even plays around with it.It has many diferrent areas to complete before you finish each fasion show and there are about 10 fashion shows, then you can continue doing different fashion shows of your choice.After each show you get more choices of clothing, hair, shoes, stages, music, fabric, so on and so forth.You even get to choose which model gets to wear each outfit.

Very cute.

My younger daughter is also having trouble with the maze but she still loves everything else. This also has educational and problem solving games. Overall, if your little girl loves Barbie or princesses she will be fascinated by this game. I'm pretty impressed with the quality of it, too. Definitely worth the money!!

When I bought it I was excited to play it and I still am excited to play now! This game can be challenging and fun at the same time. As you go up in the levels(places where they ALLOW you to go) it gets harder. I would surgest this game to anyone who loves horses and sortof challenging action games where you like to run, duck, jump ect. At first it may be boring but when you get up in the levels it gets harder and really fun! So...BUY IT!!! It's definately not a waste of money! It's the best horse game I have played!
