(More customer reviews)My daughter, like many, is infacutated with everything Barbie, She was 3 when I bought this for her and she played it for hours.I was amazed at how many times she would change an outfit, and slightly horrified at her make-up choices.Artistically, this is a great game.My daughter loved being able to create a look for her Barbie, and I got a kick out of seeing what she would come up with.
First, you choose an event.It could be a birthday party, a movie premiere, a first date etc... and then you basically cycle through 4 boutiques: Hair, Nails, Clothing, and Make-up.Once you finish those you get a short replay of your makeover and then watched a short animation of your finished character participating in whatever event you chose.I think I would have appreciated it more if it gave you more options for the hair. It's inconsequestial fun, but fun nonetheless...definitely for the girly girl.

(More customer reviews)I bought this game for my daughters for Christmas in 2003 and they still play with it at least once a week now (dec. 2004).There are matching games, problem solving excercises and they have to find hidden objects.They love the music, the games - all of it.This is a great gift for any girl from age 3 - 8!

Barbie Princess and the Pauper Review

(More customer reviews)My daughter went head-over-heels for the "Barbie in the Princess and the Pauper" movie, so naturally, she just had to have the game for her computer.The game's lovely graphics and professional vocals and audio effects do the movie great justice, as the player controls "Erica," completing a variety of missions.The missions are stereotypical kinds of things that little girls go crazy for, such as growing flowers, decorating the castle, baking and decorating cakes, and so forth.There are a few more non-stereotypical missions, too, but they're in the minority (which is fine for my daughter, being the "princess" that she is).

Sadly, as with other players, she cannot actually finish the game and get to the coronation finale at the end.The same bug that has plagued so many others has hit her copy as well: "Erica" can no longer sing, and therefore cannot locate the other singers necessary for the coronation.

Worse, Vivendi Universal's technical support has only "canned" responses that would help if it were related to driver incompatibility.But this is a plain, old fashioned, software bug, and that's something they just can't help with.

Don't risk disappointing your own kids: pass this title by.

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my 5 1/2 year old and she and her 4 year old sister play with it all the time. My younger daughter is also having trouble with the maze but she still loves everything else. This also has educational and problem solving games. Overall, if your little girl loves Barbie or princesses she will be fascinated by this game. I'm pretty impressed with the quality of it, too. Definitely worth the money!!

When I bought it I was excited to play it and I still am excited to play now! This game can be challenging and fun at the same time. As you go up in the levels(places where they ALLOW you to go) it gets harder. I would surgest this game to anyone who loves horses and sortof challenging action games where you like to run, duck, jump ect. At first it may be boring but when you get up in the levels it gets harder and really fun! So...BUY IT!!! It's definately not a waste of money! It's the best horse game I have played! I LOVE IT AND YOU WILL TOO! Like I said this game is for all ages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
