(More customer reviews)I am not a singer but this is fun to use with Rock Band.I bought the game without the instruments and use my GH III wireless Les Paul.

This is a corded microphone.The fifteen foot length is plenty for most situations.It can plug directly in your console if you have a free slot or into a USB hub.

If you prefer black you can get the same Logitech Vantage model that's marked for the PS3 and PS2.That's what I did and it works fine with the 360.

The microphone also works on Windows Vista.Just plug it in and the driver will be installed automatically.

I have loved Karaoke revolution from the beginning. I didn't think it could be any better than the 3rd version when they added the duets. This version takes the game to a whole new level. There is a wide variety of songs, so many different types of people can play. There are several songs that begin locked, but it didn't take too long to get them unlocked.The mini games are terrible and there was no need for them on the disk.

I found that it is near impossible to both sing and dance at the same time. If you don't know all the words to a song, it is impossible to read the singing and dance lines at the same time. Besides, it's extremely difficult to speak, much less sing while exerting yourself on the dance pad. I recommend having one person sing and another dance. This changes it up and gives you some great songs to dance to.I like the DDR games, but never have been crazy about the songs, so I really like the great songs.

(More customer reviews)We bought Wii Sing It for our three kids for Christmas.I'd read reviews stating that some of the microphones available did not work right with this game.Several reviews stated that the Logitech USB microphone worked right and that is absolutely correct.We plugged it in and away it went!Our kids are ages 8 and 9 and they sing duet with the Sing It game.We've never had any problems and they love it.

(More customer reviews)This is my very first 'singstar' product and I am very impressed with the game.yes, this is a game element to it other than just having a sing along.I love singing and sometimes off key too: game option 1 entails you sing along with prompter to match both crescendo and length -even as an ABBA fan, I realized I really did not know some songs as well as thought - it was challenging!then the game will rate you.Now if you want a playback there you can (if you dare!).
Option 2 allows you to battle with another singer to see who hit the notes the best!Great game for parties.

I also checked out the on lone option: on writing this review there were ~750 songs and there is a British centric collection (this game was made in the UK), but plenty of songs mainly in the 80's, but also quite a lot of 2006-2009 songs too.Choices also included some duet songs too (which is another option that is offered on the game).the songs are saved on your harddrive and a little like the kindle - you can retrieved it as long as you have a log on account (for when you have to replace your playstation console.

I thought this game was really well designed.You only need to buy one disc to access the online option.I am pleased that they are adding new songs to the collectioin (currently priced at $1.49 - good value given that includes the prompter too).I also purchased the singstar microphones for PS2, which works perfectly with the game (if you want to save a little money, which is you choice and it is not wireless).

Karaoke Revolution Volume 3 Review

(More customer reviews)All of the songs on Volume 3 are kid-friendly.That is a huge plus and, in my opinion, the first of 3 volumes with this feature.One thing that is really fun about this game is that we play with our 9 and 11-year-old, and we are in our early 30s. This game gives us the opportunity to get to know songs that we wouldn't normally know.For example, I listened to "Beat It" when I was 9 years old, and now our 9-year-old son can enjoy it.

The songs were recorded as close to the sound that the original artists made as possible, and they did a great job with that. The vocals to "I Got You Babe," "New York New York," and "Twist and Shout" didn't really sound like the original artists but who cares.We were singing over their voices.

The songs to choose from for karaoke competition are as follows:

Volume 3 has the option of singing a few songs as a duet. My husband and I would make the effort and go get another microphone, but the songs don't seem all that great, and the karaoke is satisfyingly entertaining already.

Volume 3 has a new hairstyle for one character, Dwayne. It's my husband's favorite.We call him the Mullet Man.And the facial expressions that the character makes is HILARIOUS while he sings!He's hilariously serious and all into the music.

OK one last thing I wanted to add.The microphone that can come with Volume 3 works just fine.It's durable (we've thrown it and stomped on it by accident a few times) and it works well.We don't have Volume 1 yet but I think that the microphone doesn't work with it, and instead you have to get a special headset.I will let you all know in a review about that as soon as possible.

Band Hero featuring Taylor Swift Review

(More customer reviews)This game was a nice alternative to Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band.It offers a wider variety than just rock, metal, and emo songs.I'm still waiting for more DLC pop songs that are more popular or recent than the included setlist, as some of the songs are outdated.

The pros to this game are the multiple mics capability.Some times people feel more comfortable singing with others which makes for a better party than, forcing someone to use the mic as the only instrument left.You do receive individual scores with the mics. There's also a party mode where people can jump in and out whenever they want to with the instruments.The only down side is that you can't choose the songs in party mode.Another nice option was the playlist option.Instead of having to pick songs for a playist by default like GHWT, you can turn that option on or off for Band Hero.So people don't get confused with either pressing the green button or the start button. (On Xbox360)

The cons to this game is that it follows the user interface like GHWT.Only the band leader can control the stats screen and choose songs.This gets annoying when your an impatient person and the band leader isn't paying attention to the game.Also, you can't choose your difficulty level right before each song.Instead you have to either back out to the players menu and change it there, or the individual instrument has to press start and change difficulty and restart the song.Either way it's more time wasted than Rock Band's simple difficulty menu before each song.Another annoyance for people with slightly imperfect eye-hand coordination is that Band Hero has less tolerance for error in hitting the notes.You pretty much have to hit them dead on or it will count as a miss.When I was playing I hit all the notes fine, but when my sister was playing she thought there was something wrong with all three of my guitars.Then we realized it was the game.

Overall, this game is fun to play if you're into the pop songs included.I'm sure there will be guys out there who aren't willing to sing Taylor Swift, Jesse McCartney and Hillary Duff, but it's definitely fun to watch if you can get them to do it.Good times....

Disney Sing It: Pop Hits Review

(More customer reviews)Disney Sing It: Pop Hits BundleThis is a totally wonderful concept... but just falls short of the 5-star mark.First, I want to say that I LOVE that the background of the game has the actual videos for the songs... not some goofy cartoon characters "mouthing" the words, etc.However, as many reviewers have already pointed out, these are not the most "popular" songs produced by these artists, which makes it harder to sing along with them.The songs are NOT easy to sing, especially if you don't know the words/tunes beforehand.Also, we already own Boogie Superstar, which we LOVE... so thought this would be fun too, as in this game you can sing with two microphones as a duet/helping each other.However, the microphone that comes with THIS bundle is not very good... doesn't work as well as the Boogie Superstar microphone at all.Half the time, this Disney mic doesn't pick up your singing, so you end up "missing" the notes, meanwhile my daughter who is using the Superstar mic is getting great scores on the same song.Lastly, although the Superstar mic has a long cord on it that plugs into the Wii... the packaging on this Disney bundle led me to believe that the microphone here would be cordless... NOT SO!It also has a super long cord, which is just more tangle to deal with.:(

So between the sub-standard (and misleading picture above) microphone, and the more obscure song list included with this game, I can only rate it 3 stars instead of the 5 star potential it should have had.Again, I DO like the duet option and the music video backgrounds, but wish the interface with the people playing the game was a bit better thought-out/quality.
