Ty the Tasmanian Tiger Review

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger

Maaate! This game is a lot of fun. You play as Ty, the coolest game character in a long while. Ty has his own moves such as a powerful bite and an unreal collection of boomerangs such as a Flamerang (fire), Frostyrang (icy) as well as Zoomerangs, Doomerangs and Kaboomerangs. There's a lot of exploring to do if you want toget all of the gems Ty needs to move through the game, but it's well worth it. Ty has a lot of mates who give him advice and ask him for help but Maurie is the best. He's always giving Ty a hard time. And if you get tired of Maurie's attitude, you can always throw a boomerang at him :)

Go deep into the Australian outback as Ty the Tasmanian tiger. It's up to you to collect magical talismans that'll release your fellow Tasmanian tigers from the Dreamtime. Armed with your boomerangs and a nasty bite, you must outfight and outsmart Boss Cass, a big bad bird with a big bad attitude. Sharpen your boomerang, mate, and get ready for an amazing Australian adventure.
You will explore more than 16 levels of a highly stylized, cartoonlike Australian outback while making use of eight types of boomerangs, including the frostyrang, flamorang, and doomarang. You will also uncover secret areas and extra missions, collect power-ups to give Ty his Super Chomp, encounter over 50 different characters and enemies, ride animals, swim around coral reefs, and surf down rivers.

Crash Tag Team Racing Review

I bought this game 3 days ago and I have played it for probably about 20 hours in those three days. The graphics are amazing with no draw-ins or flaws to be found. The tracks are varied so you never get bored and thegame play never seems repetitive.Once you win a race (in Adventure mode;there are about 6 different modes of play and you can choose the difficultylevel) you have to go back over the same track to obtain the letters 'C"T' and 'R' and win the race again; once you are through with that you goback and try to win a "gem" by having an amazingly quick time. Once you win four races you race the boss one on one. With all of this todo the replay value seems endless. This is by far my favorite racing game(a lot more fun than Gran Turismo) and favorite game overall for the timebeing. If you don't have this game - GET IT!If you have this game - stopreading this and go play it!

Crash Bash Review

Ever since the debut of Nintendo's "Mario Party", the multiplayer party genre is suddenly popular. Now the PlayStation's mascot, Crash, is jumping onto the bandwagon with "Crash Bash". It's the first game developed without Naughty Dog, who created Crash's first four games; instead, it's developed by Eurocom and Mark Cerny. For a first shot, Eurocom has done a great job with living up to Naughty Dog's legacy.
You can play as one of eight characters: Crash, Coco (Crash's sister), Dr. Neo Cortex (Crash's enemy), Dr. N. Brio (Cortex's rival), Tiny, Dingodile, and Koala Kong (Cortex's henchmen), and Kangorilla (a new character). There are also some secret characters, including Ripper Roo (a psychotic kangaroo in a straitjacket) and Penta Penguin.
There's a total of 28 different games to play. One example is a game where you ride on polar bears and joust each other while trying to avoid falling off of the slippery, swaying iceberg on which you're battling. In another, you bounce on pogo sticks and try to make the bricks of the platform you're bouncing on a solid color. There's even a game where you drive through a maze in a tank and blast each other with missiles and mines. Some games, though, are variants of classic games, such as air hockey, racing (although in this, you race in bumper cars rather than go-karts), and standard fighting, e.g. throwing TNT at each other and using your special 'power', etc.
The game allows for 1-4 players, and offers so much fun, you'll get addicted instantly. You'll definitely enjoy it!

This is a exact same version as originally released on the Playstation. I have always loved Crash Bandicoot and it never gets old playing it. It is just a clasic like Super Mario Mario Bros. It's fairly cheap to download and you can even play it on your PSP via remote play.

Crash of the Titans Review

Crash of the Titans

I haven't seen any reviews for this game (not only on Amazon, but anywhere), so I decided to give it a go.Before I begin, I want to point out that I am a big fan of the previous Crash games (not so much for Twin Sanity), so I was anticipating this for a while now.The first time I seen an advertisement for this was at the movie theaters. It looked like it would be fun, but then when it came out, nobody reviewed it.

My 8-year-old son begged me to buy it (I wanted Metroid), so I did and we are both having a blast with it.The only things similar to the older games I feel are the characters.Everything else looked and played like it was built from scratch. There are similarities with this game and the older games, but not much. One example is that the boxes that are plentiful with Mangos (or whatever there called)to smash and grab are present in this game, but are not as plentiful or seem as necessary as in the previous games.

The 2-player part of the game is cool because the 2nd player can come and go whenever they feel like it.It's nice for my family because my daughter gets bored of games easily and when my son gets stuck at a hard part (hard for him - this game is easy), I can jump in and help him out, then split whenever I want.

I recommend getting the Wii version because of the control scheme. The Wii remote functions change depending on what Titan Crash controls.Sometimes you use it as a Zapper, and sometimes it's necessary to pound it on your chest like a gorilla to use special abilities.Shaking the Wii remote also causes Crash to spin like in the previous games.I would say graphically, the game would probably be on par with the PS2.I haven't seen the PS3 or XBOX version yet to compare.

Even though it's different from previous Crash entries, I gave it a four out of five mainly because it's still unique and the multiplayer function is pretty original and works great.

Crash:Warped is, in my opinion the best in the series. The game is not incrediably huge, but it has alot to offer.Intelligent level designs, whacked-out bossess, and eye-pleasing graphics await you on your journeey. This is a journey that will keep you playing for awhile, since that afteryou initially beat a level and get the crystal, you can go back and playthe level in a time-trial.If you get through the level in under a certainamount of time, you can get other rewards that can unlock more levels andplayable characters after you beat the game. And, with the $19.99 pricetag, it is more than worth the money. If you have this game and really, really like it, i suggest you dish out $20 bucks and pick up Sypro theDragon, also in the greatest hits promotion. In the end, I suggest thatyou buy these 2 games for the price of one new game, and you'll be playingfor quite awhile.Have fun!

Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced Review

Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced
Average Reviews:

This game is a must have for fans of the series and far outclasses the first outing on the Gameboy (The Huge Adventure). The sound effects and music is varied and faithful to the previous games, and the graphics look amazingly good for a handheld.
For those who haven't played any of the previous games in the series, they all have similar plots and gameplay elements. For various reasons, the bad guys want some crystals from the levels.Crash collects the crystals and during the course of the game foils their unspecified evil plans.Along the way are items for him to collect like fruit stored in boxes.Collecting 100 pieces of fruit gets a free guy. There are masks to collect that give him a 1 time shield, and once in a while there is a free guy in some of the boxes. The levels are organized into areas, and completing each area requires "beating the boss".Each boss has some sort of weakness you have to figure out. After beating each boss, Crash acquires another ability like extra-high jump or extra-long sliding.
After you have collected the crystals, more game play is squeezed out in 2 ways - gems and relics.Gems are collected either by breaking all the boxes in a level or sometimes they are hidden in a secret area in the level. The game tells you before you enter a level which items are still available to collect. Each level also has a target time for completion. After you have collected the crystal, you can reenter a level, touch a clock then start racing through.By going as fast as you can and beating the target time, you win a Relic.
Most of the levels are similar to previous games but there are a few new twists. There are levels where Crash is water skiing and a big chompy shark is chasing him (hint: control Crash with the L&R buttons instead of the D-pad).These levels remind me of the jet-ski levels I didn't enjoy on previous games but the water skiing is actually fun. Other new twists are flying on a little helicopter pack and a magic carpet.
I'm not sure if the game could be played through by young children without help as some of the levels are pretty hard.Notably, the 3rd boss level is a difficult. There is a 2nd crash on the screen making mirror moves to him.By much trial and error I figured out you have to run the right-side Crash into the traps to win.I don't think my 6 year old could ever finish that level.
They have recreated the levels from The Wrath of Cortex where Crash is rolling around in a glass ball called the Atlasphere. These levels were the some of the most enjoyable in The Wrath of Cortex. On the N-Tranced, they seem to be the same track every time with new obstacles thrown in.These levels become a little frustrating because it is fairly easy to roll the ball off the side. They can only be beaten by creeping through the level with your finger on the brake button.I could have lived with fewer of these.

Because it is a CD based unit a lot of the games on the Sony Playstation have a tendancy to be slow in their game play, especally while they boot up into the system."Crash Bandicoot" does not have a lot ofstatistics that it needs to download so all you have to do is hit start andwithin moments the fun begins. With rich graphics and an adorablecharacter "Crash Bandicoot" will have people who enjoy games like"Sonic the Hedgehog" and "Donkey Kong" sitting on theircouches and playing this game until their thumbs become rigid witharthritis. Young children whll enjoy Crash's antics, especally when thegame comes to a stop for a few moments and Crash is forced to wait for theplayer to continue.Older players will like all of the hidden extra levelsand bonuses that they can trip over during game play.

Product Description:
In the tradition of great 3-D action jumping games, Crash Bandicoot is probably the PlayStation equivalent of the groundbreaking Nintendo 64 title Super Mario 64. Now repackaged as one of PlayStation's Greatest Hits, this top-selling game takes you away on a tropical island adventure that is filled with precarious enemies and challenging levels. Our spiky-haired hero Crash needs no weapons to survive the harsh jungle. Instead, he jumps, jogs, and spins his way through numerous lush and downright fun environments. With 26 levels spanned across three tropical islands, Crash Bandicoot is sure to amuse old gamers as well as new. Crash must rescue his girlfriend, Tawna, from the evil clutches of Dr. Cortex. Along the way, he can gather fruit for extra lives, smash boxes for random prizes, and gather tokens that can be used for bonus rounds. Numerous big bosses block your path, which also includes more than a few risky jumps that require split-second timing. Crash Bandicoot's impressive graphics and strong gameplay have already won over many hard-core and casual gamers. While this PlayStation classic has already spawned two successful sequels, the original version remains a worthy purchase.

If you like Mario games, you'll enjoy this game. It's a challenge to complete the game 100%, so if you're the obsessive type, this game will keep you occupied. It's also fun for the less obsessive- you can see theending without completing it 100%.

Product Description:
Let me go on record and say that I was never a fan of the original Crash Bandico Even though Crash was disarmingly cute and fuzzy, and even though the game's graphics were just about as good as they got in those days, the frustrating design of the game made playing it such a painful experience that I still have flashbacks when I see small marsupials on the Discovery Channel. But just one short year after his debut, Crash is back in a sequel that is so far superior to the original that I'm willing to forget the mistakes of the past. The new storyline is simple: A very gullible Crash is corralled into collecting crystals for the evil Dr. Cortex and gems for the terrible N. Brio. There are 25 levels in all; each level contains an easy-to-find crystal and hard-to-earn gems. Instead of being forced to approach the game in a strictly linear fashion, you progress through a series of five warp rooms. Each warp room contains five levels, which you are free to tackle in any order. After you have found the crystals in each level, you can progress to the next warp room. This system of warp rooms is a great innovation; it's clear how to progress in the game, and yet you have the option of moving to a different level if you're hopelessly frustrated with one area. Best of all, you can save your game in the warp room at any time (a big improvement over the original game's horrific save system).
