Yes that's a silly ttile but I have a serious issue with games based on actual wars.Real people died in these wars and making "video games" of them is somewhat disrespectful in my opinion.

That being said, I bought this game used and cheap and wanted to see what the big deal was.

It is a great game.

The level designs look authentic and aren't exaggerated or simplified for the sake of the "action".The scenarios are gritty and war-torn giving the environments credibility. The AI enemies aren't stupid:They duck and dodge and sometimes draw and fire faster than I did.Oddly enough, they all look the same, but hey, they are all Nazis anyway.

The weapons are great and function quite realistically sans the recoil and jamming. An excellent selection of vehicles including jeeps and tanks and then there's the artillery with firing turrets all over the place.

There are a few issues I had though.I found that some levels did get repetitive and there were far too many enemies at times all with the accuracy of Legolas. The auto-saving was another problem but one that can be easily tolerated.

Overall, it's an exciting adventure regardless of the WWII themed action. The Omaha Beach level really was one of the most disturbing levels of gameplay I have ever encountered considering what really happened there.

Play for fun but keep in mind respectfully and with admiration for those that truly fought and died in a horrible war.
