You'd think with all the Mac users in the world that there would be more of this, but that's not the case. This Scrabble game is great. I can't stop playing it...and the practice has improved my board game playing score dramatically.

Munson (Dixon, IL) Fun: I've enjoyed playing Scrabble for years, so I was glad that I found this version for my home computer. The graphics are really cool, and the background music makes the game more fun to play. Also, this version works fine on Microsoft XP despite saying that it required Windows 95 or 98. The installation was very easy and the directions were easy to follow. I give this game my highest recommendation. It is loads of fun and will keep you busy for hours at a time.

Word Jong Party Review

(More customer reviews)This is great game for any fans of the original PC game from Pogo or DS game Word Jong. It is basically Mahjong but with letters instead of shapes and symbols. Think of it as slightly different version of Scrabble. Overall its a fun experience in single player mode and in party mode which allows you to play against 2-4 other people in the same mode. The only other thing I could really wish for in this game would be a online play mode like the DS version has.

Scrabble Review

(More customer reviews)Haven't had a person around to play Scrabble with in years and miss having a GOOD game.You can set the levels from Novice to Tournament or anything in between with the Custom feature.
The online dictionary is handy (eventhough technically it shouldn't be used during play).You can hit a buttonto "define last" when the computer plays a word you're notfamiliar with. Other features include a list of "q" words without"u" and online help you can use based on the letters on yourrack.I never use this because it's like cheating.
I'm enjoying it verymuch and got one for my mother as well.Haven't gone to play on Internetyet but may pursue that as well.

Bookworm Adventures Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my grandson for Christmas. Not only does he love it, my other grandchildren play, too, even my 4 year old. When they leave, it's my turn. English has always been my subject, but this game is riveting for me, too. There are different types of word games to play, besides creating words. Visually, it is helpful for seniors with lessened capacity. Imagine watching the movie Shrek on the big screen, then having to read it in black and white print in a tiny book. That is what crossword puzzle books are like for me, vs the pleasure of playing Bookworm Adventures in a full color display. It keeps one's mind active to do this kind of activity. Yesterday, a friend's daughter came over. English is a second language for her. She loves this game, playing it not only for fun, but to augment her English skills. I looked long and hard for truly educational games for my grandchildren for Christmas. This one has turned out to be the best of my video game purchases.

(More customer reviews)I received this game as a christmas gift and I can't stop playing it. Finally a Scrabble game that doesn't mess with the internal workings of my computer and doesn't go black. The only thing I'd wish they'd do with this game is to upgrade the dictionary so that it acknowledges a lot more words as legitimate plays. Hopefully, they'll do this in the near future and then I can buy that one.

(More customer reviews)Text Twist 2 is perfect for those who, like me, never tire of unscrambling jumbled words. This is a great game to play on the Untimed setting when you have only a few minutes to spare. You can either leave it sitting or quit (it will Save) without losing your game.

The gameplay of my favorite section is basic and enduring (similar to Pogo's Word Whomp). Though you must find the whole jumbled word to continue without a penalty, it's not necessary to find all the smaller words that can be made from the main word, once you've unscramble the main word, I like that option.

This game is addicting in its simplicity, and I highly recommend it to all wordaholics.

They all require you to figure out words using the letters given. You can increase difficulty level by increasing the number of letters.Timed and lightening are my favorite, although crossword is fun too. Watch outit can be addictive!

(More customer reviews)I love Bookworm online, as well as the deluxe version for PC and Mac, so I was very excited to try it on my DS, since I can take it anywhere.I am thrilled with it!Everything you love about Bookworm is here, along with a few extra fun things.

Create words from the adjacent tiles to clear them from the board and earn points and books to put on shelves in your library.As you earn books and fill the shelves, you fill up and complete rooms in your library.Each room has a different theme and you get a little bonus when each is finished.As you complete more rooms, your library expands.You can visit the rooms on your map and see what you have accomplished!

My favorite new and challenging feature is collecting books and words.There are twenty books, each containing twelve words.When you create a word in one of the books, the book is unlocked and you can see the rest of the words needed to complete the book.For example, I unlocked the book "Insects" by making the word "ant".To complete the book I need to create "bee, wasp, roach, ladybug", etc.This is not as easy as it seems!!There are many fun collections to complete, and while I haven't finished a book yet, I imagine there will be a fun bonus when I do!Books are easily accessible from the main screen so you can check to see which books still needs words, and what words are needed.

My only teeny tiny complaint with this game is barely a blip on the radar, however I'm just a slight bit annoyed that when clearing tiles an extra tap is required after the word is finished.On the computer version, holding the mouse button while making words, and then just releasing it will clear the word.While holding the stylus to make the word on the DS, it has to be lifted and then tapped at the end of the word.Very picky, but it is what it is.

There is not a left-handed option on this game that I can find.That seems an obvious necessity, but for some reason was not included in this version.

Overall this game is fantastic, I am completely addicted!!

(More customer reviews)-I'm a puzzle lover, so when I saw this game for sale on Amazon.com I preordered it and it arrived yesterday Friday December 11, 2009.

-The game has over 1,000 different puzzles on it which will keep you busy for a long time.

-There are two different puzzle modes which are:
Challenge mode- where you are given a large scrolling menu that contains all 560 main puzzles and the bonus puzzles which are given to you after you complete each of the puzzles
Quick play- in this you could play all of the different types of puzzles except for the bonus ones, but they give you easier puzzles and will give you a hint of what you will see in the challenge mode

- There are eight different types of main puzzles which are:
Wordsearch- my favorite and one of the reasons why I brought this game. In this they give you a list of words and you have to find them in the grid
Fitword- another one of my favorites and why i brought this game. In this they give you a list of words and you have to fit them into a grid
Sudoku- I basically just thought myself how to do this type of puzzle- You have to fit numbers into the grid.
Link-A-Pix- I have no idea how to do this type of puzzle, but I think when your done it will make a picture
Crossword- I don't like them that much, but maybe I'll try them
Silhouette- this is kind of cool. In this game they give you a grid of different shapes, and you have to fill in the ones that have a dot in them and when your finished it will make a picture.
Spot the difference- this is another one of my favorites. They give you two images of a picture and you have to spot the differences
Codeword- I have no idea how to do this type of puzzle either. I think you have to fill a grid with letters corrsponing to numbers to make words.

- The bonus puzzles consists of:
Hangman
Equate- which is a type of math puzzle
Jigsaw- you have to unscramble the pieces to make a picture.
Picture quiz- you have to look at a picture for 30 seconds and memorize all that you can and afterwards you are given three questions about it.
Chain letters- that give you six letters and you have get the correct sequence to make a word
Missing piece- a picture game where you see a picture with a missing portion and you have to pick the correct piece to complete it.

Overall I love this game and I also have other puzzle games for my Nintendo DS such as: USA's Today Puzzle Craze, Crosswords DS, Margot's Bepuzzled, and this one. Out of all the puzzle games I have on my DS I think I like this game the most.

I would recommend it for people who are puzzle lovers like me because this game gives you a lot of different puzzle types.

Scrabble Champion Edition Review

(More customer reviews)Before buying this software, I checked through the internet to find out exactly what this new software is and how it differs from the older edition. I had no luck. I wanted to be sure that it ran on Vista and this was the only edition on Amazon's site stating that it was Vista compatible.

Hence I ordered it. The box and the software do not use "JC" in the name. It looks like the same old software sold to meet Vista.

From an operating point of view, I wish it didn't "take over" the computer screen, as it can not be minimized to work on anything else while it is active.

The game plays fine and I'll compare it to a "fee" download that gives you 30 minutes of playing time as a trial before asking for $20 for a license key.

This is half the price for basically the same thing. For the money and the enjoyment, it's worth the price.
