If you travel abroad or use skpye on a regular this is great. work flawlessly in my house. As headphones they leave a little something to be desired. The design is not great. All calls are clear just like on the computer and talking to friends they all said the call quality was good.

PSP Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron Entertainment Pack - Ceramic White Review

PSP Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron Entertainment Pack - Ceramic White
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
So I have owned the Sony PSP Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron Entertainment Pack - Ceramic White for about 3 weeks now.I never owned the original PSP, and mostly got this for "remote play" capabilities with the PS3 (e.g. remote access to your PS3 using the PSP and a wifi connection).Simply put, the PSP is AWESOME.Seriously.

The Good:

1. Aesthetics/Design/Construction.
The white slim looks and feels great.I briefly owned the black slim before returning it and getting the white one.The black looked slick, but it was a real fingerprint magnet. The white looks better, very sleek and clean.Fingerprints do not show up on it much either, which is great. The silver slim was just too cheap looking, like the silver was spray painted on, so I never considered it.Nice how the back is totally flat also, unlike the old psp.The non-spring door battery cover is fine.I was worried after reading reviews of how it is cheap feeling and fragile, but it's just fine.It is easy to open/close, gives a nice "snap" when it opens or closes, won't break if you're not rough with it (care is required), and eliminates worries about the spring door mechanism from malfunctioning.I never had an original PSP 1000, but the slim feels solid and not cheap at all to me.

2. Screen.
Very bright, nice 480x272 resolution.Movies and games just look great on it.

3. Music.
MP3s (and WMA supported also) sound great on the PSP.The visualization has about six different "patterns" that are interesting. The interface looks good, better in fact than the music player interface on the PS3, and features all the important info, and can be toggled on/off also.Recent firmware now allows for music to be played back while viewing photos.

4. Video.
Ability to run full 480x272 video off of files stored on the memory stick was a contentious issue in the first couple years, as Sony had evidently crippled video file on the memory stick to a max resolution of 320x240 in order to "encourage" users to buy overpriced UMDs.Several months ago, Sony saw the error of its ways and relented to user requests and now the PSP is fully able to play back 480x272 (the PSP's native resolution) video off of videos stored on your memory stick.Using the freeware "psp video 9," you can create video files ranging from 700mb (~1.5hrs video) to 1gb (~2hrs) that look and sound as good as a UMD movie.

Functionality is great too, with the newer firmwares you can search through your video file for scenes by varying intervals (1,2, or 5 minute), which is great since your own video files will be a single file. This is really not to be underestimated in its usefulness, plus it is really cool to use!

5. Photos.
The photo viewer is pretty cool as well, but could use a bit more customization. You can view standard file types (jpg, gif, bmp, and tiff I believe) and have a few slideshow and zoom options. The background of photos that are not 480x272 resolution is white, which cannot be changed to another color (like black), which is not a big deal but I hope Sony will allow you to use a black background in the future.

6. Games.
This is of course the main feature of the PSP.I wasn't expecting the games to be too good, but there are quite a few very good games. So far, my favorites are: Silent Hill Origins, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty/Vice City Stories, NBA 08, Outrun 2006, Burnout Legends, FIFA 08, Madden 08, Legend of Heroes, Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron, Daxter, Wipeout Pure, and Siphon Filter: Dark Mirror. You would be amazed at the graphics, gameplay, story, audio (music/voiceovers) this little system is capable of!Some of these are just great games.

7. Remote Play/Location Free Player.
This is the original reason I bought the PSP, to remotely (via wifi) connect to my PS3 and access the music, video, photos, and even games on it.When it works, it is just really really cool. The PS3 interface shows up on the PSP screen (which can be adjusted for quality based on the bandwidth you want to set it to -- there are five different settings), and you can play movies, trailers, photos, audio, even some games (like Lair!) on your PSP.I haven't used Location Free player yet, but basically it is like using a Slingbox on the PSP, so that you can watch TV, access your DVR, etc., on your PSP using a wifi connection.I plan to try it someday for sure.

8. Internet.
You can use the browser to surf the internet on the PSP when you have access to wifi.It works well enough, and the key input system is pretty decent for a non-QWERTY/touchscreen input system.

9. Functionality/Performance.
The much maligned battery life, is really not that bad at all.Using the PSP to listen to mp3s, watch videos, play games, I get about 3-4 hours of usage (depending on how much video/games I watch/play), which gets me through average usage easily. For longer trips, I have the 2200mAh (oem) extended battery which works great and will give me roughly 6-8 hours of usage.Incredible.The battery will stick out the back, but you can go to dealextreme-dot-com and buy a bigger battery cover (black or white) for less than four dollars.Sony will evidently release an official extended battery kit with a bigger battery cover in black and silver (no white though, booo!) for about 45 dollars sometime in the next month or so.

During gameplay, I have never had any slowdown of framerate or crashing EVER.Not once on over 14 games that I now own.Great performance.Videos and music also perform flawlessly.Load times are not that bad, and don't bother me much as it is only in the beginning mostly, and so gameplay during games is very quick.

The XMB (cross media bar) user interface is fantastic and so easy to use and rather stylish as well.Love using it.Video out to your TV is a cool feature that I have not yet used.

The Not-so-good:

1. Fingerprint magnet (black PSP).White one has no issues with this.
2. Cannot change background color to black when viewing photos.
3. Wifi is 802.11b only, no 802.11g (faster) support... yet.
4. Remote play is hit or miss regarding connectivity.Still not easy to connect to the PS3.Hopefully, Sony will improve upon this with updates.Remote on/off of the PS3 works well enough though.
5. Soon to be released extended battery kit will not include a white cover. No biggie, just go to dealextreme-dot-com to find a white one from Hong Kong (cheap too).
6. Limited audio/video codec support, including no DIVX/XVID support yet for videos or AAC for audio. But using PSP Video 9 (freeware) to convert videos works just fine to convert videos of most types into viewable 480x272 (or less if you want) mp4 video.
7. UMD spinning noise is a bit loud/harsh on the ears, but luckily it spins rarely and usually at the beginning of the game or rarely during gameplay (e.g. loading new levels, etc.).
8. Volume on audio/video playback from memory stick is TOO QUIET!Setting "dynamic normalization" under "audio" settings helps it get louder, but still it's too soft. The volume from the speakers is okay but I always use headphones so I cannot really judge it.
9. Expensive assessories.Getting a couple extended batteries, a battery charger, a nice protective case, a screen protector, some UMD cases, headphones, wrist strap, a few games, a nice memory stick pro duo (I got the 8gb one -- you won't want less than that), and the price quickly jumps up to almost PS3 range (easily over 500 dollars).
10. Cool accessories only available in Japan, including a camera, GPS, and DMB (mobile television).I don't really miss those though. Bottom Line:

As you can judge from my lengthy review, I love my new white PSP slim.It is so fun, versatile, and cool (remote play will impress your friends and family) that you will not regret plopping down some serious cash to build up your PSP slim system!

PSP Composite AV Cable Review

PSP Composite AV Cable
Average Reviews:

So when I opened my package, the Composite AV link said "Videos, Music, and UMDs on your television."Unfortunately this was a warning that this site as well as the few others which sell this product are missing.Because in the big and fine print on the packaging, it clearly states gameplay cannot be played through these cables.

Bwuh?!?Yes, I was quite shocked and annoyed as well but there it is, the key feature of the PSP-2000 is lacking in these cables. And these worst part is how hard this information was to come by.Consider yourself warned.I sure wasn't.

PSP 3000 Limited Edition Rock Band Unplugged Entertainment Pack - Black Review

PSP 3000 Limited Edition Rock Band Unplugged Entertainment Pack - Black
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We've been a PS3 household ever since the 60GB version came about so, with two pre-teens in the house, we were ripe for a PSP adoption. We actually bought the Ratchet & Clank Pack a few months ago because one of my kids was a fan of the game. Now, with 2 boys and one girl in the house, one PSP turns out not to be enough. We're on Hold for the Hannah Montana edition for our little girl but we had no choice but get the Rock Band edition for the one who just turned 'teen' last week.

The bundle costs a few more than the 'clean' PSP-3000 but, in our case, the convenience of getting it together with the game AND a memory card AND a downloaded movie justified the extra expense because the kid REALLY wanted both the PSP and the game and, if you add up all that you get with the bundle, you come out ahead this way.

The 'Pack' includes the following:

- The PSP 3000 itself in black
- 4GB memory card
- The game on a UMD disk
- A downloadable movie voucher
- Manual, promos, registration card, etc.

I couldn't discuss Rock Band myself because I don't really play Rock Band and my kid is still practicing so, see Rock Band Unplugged for absolutely EXCELLENT reviews from those who spent some serious time rocking on the PSP (I salute you). And here are the reviews for School of Rock (Widescreen Edition) (for the movie itself not for the PSN download).

Given the PSP's built-in Wi-Fi and its PS3 integration you can do quite a few things out of the box if you have Wi-Fi or a PS3 but, for a better gaming experience we ordered a 16GB memory stick and will be using the included 4GB on a camera because we are planning to store a few movies when taking it on the road. Movies take about 0.5GB.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
-------------------
I was surprised of how good and versatile and elegant this little console can be. It has most of the PS3 buttons, including one analog joystick, the display is large and bright, the resolution is good (480x272), and it responds quickly to controls. It appears to be solidly built. Unlike prior models, this one comes with a built-in microphone while the sound output can be either through the internal speakers or headphones (not included). After charging the battery, my kid was up and running and happy in no time. But, let me proceed with a more structured discussion.

STAND-ALONE OPERATION (DISCONNECTED)
----------------------------------------
The PSP 3000 will play games or movies delivered on UMDs or off a Memory Stick card. In addition, it will display photos and play music stored on the Memory card.

NETWORKING AND INTERNET CONNECTIVITY
--------------------------------------
The built-in Wi-Fi allows the PSP 3000 to access the Playstation Netowork and Playstation Store directly. Off the box, there is an Internet browser, a Search (the Internet) function, several Internet Radio applications and the ability to use the PSP as a Skype phone for as long as one has a Skype account and the PSP happens to be within the range of a Wi-Fi hotspot.

PS3 INTEGRATION
-----------------
After the PSP is paired with the PS3, the PS3 can 'push' video, photos, music and even PSP games downloaded from the Playstation Store when connected through a USB wire. When wireless, the PSP can basically take over the PS3 - actually display the PS3's own screen and display photos stored on the PS3, play music stored on the PS3. Movie play is not supported. Amazingly, you can access your PS3 remotely from anywhere in the Universe for as long as your PSP can access the Net via Wi-Fi.

When playing music, it's possible to play it on the PSP's own speakers/headphones or have the PS3 play it itself, the PSP therefore acting as a remote control device.

I suspect that additional capabilities exist that I am not aware of yet and we uncover new uses and new features all the time.

PC INTEGRATION
----------------
Through a USB connection, the PC will see the PSP's memory card as an attached drive. This will allow for music, photo or movie files to be transferred directly to the PSP.

ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT
----------------------
The PSP 3000 comes very close to being the perfect portable game-playing (and more) machine, at least in the Sony universe. Perfection would be achieved if the 'keyboard' interface were improved - it's awful now - if it had touch screen capabilities and if file transfers from the PS3 were possible wirelessly. Also on the wish list, I hope that there were more legal 'digital copy' movies available for the PSP. And Bluetooth.

PSP-3000 vs. PSP GO
---------------------
The question begs itself: how about a PSP Go? Well, in our case, the Go was out of the question because it wasn't available for purchase on our kid's birthday, because the price is a little to high - we have 3 kids - and because, at this time, we would rather keep our games on disks so that they can be easily shared amongst our tribe and won't be depended too much on our memory card's limitations. Of course, our concerns may not apply to everyone.

MY RATING
-----------
For anyone into Rock Band, this is the perfect bundle. If Rock Band is not your game, then you are probably better off with a 'clean' PSP and then get your own memory card, games, movies, etc.

For what you get, it's a 4.5 stars plus, rounded up to 5.

Note:

It would be almost sinful not to protect your new PSP. We use PSP Logitech PlayGear Pocket - Slim. It doesn't have compartments to store UMDs or memory cards but it does wrap around your 3000 like a glove and, in my view, it provides the best protection.

World Soccer Winning Eleven 9 Review

World Soccer Winning Eleven 9
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've been playing Winning Eleven (WE) since their installment in original Playstation. When the opportunity comes to have WE in PSP, surely, it's the first thing to grab. What you see in WE 9 for PS2 are duplicated in the PSP. The enjoyment of playing with either analog or a directional cursor.
However, what sadly in this package is the lack of tournament type of game, considering that we can have our own version of Champions League among those super clubs. Other thing, which is not too significant is the international team with a pseudonym players. You can change the name, but it's a bit tedious. Well, for this, anyone can wait for the option file distributed by someone over the net for anyone to feel WE realism.
For the skill option and any other things, to me, it's a PS2 version condensed in small UMD without a sound.

PSP Traveler Case Review

PSP Traveler Case
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Note that is is for the PSP-2000 Series only and clearly states on the back of the package "Do not attempt to use it with any other PSP model".As I only have the PSP Slim then I can not test the any other model. In response to another reviewer here they say that the PSP symbol is not "on" the case but on a cardboard piece... so what?It keeps people from scratching off the PSP logo from constant wear and tear on the outside of the case and for those that want to remove the logo without damaging the case are also allowed to do so.I'll agree tha the "Made in China" etching on the front of the case is annoying.

Review:Great case with solid feeling plastic.Rubber insets are removable and I'm guessing it's so you can clean them because the PSP would not fit properly without them. The latch seems a bit too easy to open and you may have to squeeze the case slightly to get it to latch back properly. When the case is open you have full access to all buttons and hook-ups except the Wi-fi enable button at the top which is half-way covered. The PSP Slim fits perfectly and the rubber backing is already designed to hold the extended-life battery but it appears even without the extended battery it would still fit nicely. There is an extra screen protector piece that folds down over the PSP to 1) Hold it in place and 2) What else? Protect your screen. When the case is closed you still have access to the L/R buttons, power/hold button, the DC in (charger) and video/audio out ports. So you can charge the PSP while it is in the case and closed as well as start a UMD video, hook it up to your TV with the appropriate cables, close the case and enjoy UMD video on your TV.A minor problem is the USB connection... while they cut the plastic out for the USB connector the plastic is simply too thick to allow the USB cable to fully connect into the PSP while it is in the case.

On a side note, I have the leather strap on my PSP that came with the PSP Pouch and this Case does leave room for that to stick out while still attached so it won't be a problem if you have anything attached to that loop on the bottom left-hand side of the PSP next to the video/audio port.

Sonic Rivals 2 Review

Sonic Rivals 2
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Sonic Rivals 2 lets you play as different teams through a story mode, or enjoy free play. You get to experience the familiar Sonic world on your PSP in casual adventure fun.

Be Sonic & Tails, Shadow & Metal Sonic, Knuckles & Rogue, or Silver & Espio. Each character has her or her own personality, special abilities and look. You can test them all out in free play mode to get the hang of their talents and see which one is the best fit for you.

People new to the Sonic world might find this game a bit challenging. where most games have an easy ramp-up level or two where they say "press X now to attack", this game simply drops you into a level and expects you to know everything. The plot comes at you staccato with references to people and places you might not recognize at all. Really, the plot means nothing - but again it might be frustrating to a newcomer. They feel like they're missing what is going on in more than one way.

Still, once you get the hang of the buttons and accept the plot problems, the game is arcade fun. The maps have a lot of tiny details that add interest, far more banners and mossy areas and ivy trails than were necessary. The graphic designers obviously had some fun here. There are high roads and low roads and hidden roads - there's a lot of incentive to play and replay a level. the first few times through a level are just to get the sense of its general layout. It's only after a number of times through a level that you really start to explore all its paths.

The sound is what you'd expect from an arcade style game. Upbeat, stereotypical voices, jazzy pop music, appropriate brrrrings! and "Yeah, let's do this!" calls. It adds a boost of fun to your zooming around in loop-de-loops.

The controls are responsive and get you where you need to go. They've really got that aspect of Sonic games down.

Highly recommended for Sonic fans who want yet another handheld way to spend some time in mindless fun while they ride a bus or wait in line. There's no multi-hour RPG puzzles here, nothing to tie you up if you have to hit pause. It's perfect for filling in the quiet times of day with something fun and engaging. If you're new to the Sonic series, though, I'd recommend starting with Sonic Rivals 1. That way you get at least some grounding in what is going on.

For parents, this is good clean fun. Little characters are racing along roller coaster style racetracks and trying to gather gold hoops. It's rated E for everyone.

PSP 3000 Review

I have just received this Limited Edition Lilac PSP bundle and am extremely happy. Having bought it as a 2nd PSP, it was purchased primarily for the unique color which is a relief considering the lack of colors available in the USA. The Lilac is more purple than pink and also has a deep shimmer. (not matte) NOTE: There is NO logo or Hannah Montana art on the PSP console, it is just plain lilac front and back with separate stickers you can use to decorate your PSP if desired. After playing with it for the day, the lilac color does NOT show the fingerprints the way the black PSP's do which is very nice. The silver/gray accenting compliments the lilac color without making it TOO young looking which is great for older teens & adult gamers wanting this color. Overall, well done and a worthy color to add to the USA PSP line!

As to the console itself, although it is the same as the other 3000 model PSP's, my lilac edition has a sturdier UMD door that closes snugly and doesn't feel loose (unlike my black from the Ratchet & Clank Bundle) Personally I am happier with the quality of the lilac edition over the black I purchased for my daughter a few months back. This console comes with a Hanna Montana game & 2nd UMD with her TV show episodes. Also a 2 GB memory stick and standard black power cord/adapter. I had no trouble setting up my PSP for first use and was gaming within minutes of opening the PSP box. If you've been wanting a colored PSP in the USA and like the lilac color, this is worth the price and it is MUCH nicer in person. The color just shimmers. Highly recommended.

Family Guy Review

Family Guy
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Family Guy is one of the most talked about shows on television, hands down. It's gritty and crude humor has captivated millions, and has caused it to draw on contraversy and rivalry like no other. Every good show deserves a video game. The Simspons has received plenty, Futurama got a game, Southpark got a game. The list goes on and on. Unfortunately, like those games, Family Guy can just as easily be slapped with a "Fans only" label. Is Family Guy a good game? Well, yes and no. If you love the show, there's more gold here than you can imagine, and it does it far better than any other TV show gone video game has before. Where it suffers, is the gameplay itself.

Throughout the game you'll play as Peter, Brian, or Stewie. Each character has their own set of levels and their own story. All of which are interconnected. Each characters levels also play out far differently than any other characters. Stewie's level are platforming levels. Peter's levels are beat 'em up type levels (set up stirkingly similar to Final Fight) and Brian's levels are stealth levels. So you could say there's quite a variety here.

Stewie is once again plotting to take over the world. This time he's using Peter's satellite dish. Unfortunately Bertrand, his evil brother, is also planning to take over the world. Stewie will ultimately have to go after Bertrand. While this is happening, Peter suffers head trauma and finds himself in the hospital. When he comes to, he thinks Mr. Belvedere has kidnapped his family, and that everyone is out to get him, and now everyone is an enemy to Peter. Finally, Brian has been accused of getting Seabreeze pregnant by Lois's father, Carter Pewterschmidt. The stories eventually connect themselves, and come together.

If this all seems completely absurd and random to you, that's because it is. If you don't know certan things like who some of the characters I mentioned above are, it's because you don't watch the show enough. Trust me, fans of the show will be able to connect with the story entirely.

Let's get one thing out of the way. If you really are a fan of Family Guy, there should be no reason why you don't like the presentation of the game. Graphically it will definitely remind you of the show. It looks very similar to the show itself, and therefore really gives the player a feel for the show. Also, it's nice to see that the writers from the show have written the script for the game. This is obvious by the insane number of inside jokes that only Family Guy fans would understand. It's also obvious by the nature of the cutscenes in the game itself. All of them are filled with the crude, witty humor of the show. You won't find characters acting strangely out of character. Even better for the overall presentation, every voice actor from the show has signed up to do the game itself. Needless to say, the audio and voice work is top notch.

Simply put, outside of the gameplay it's like buying a full blown episode of the television show, and it's not so bad. It's funny, it's got it's inside jokes, and it has mini games whenever you come to a flashback moment. Whenever Peter says something like, "This is worse than the time I..." it means you'll have a chance to play a mini-game of that segment rather than watching it. It's pretty cool stuff.

As I said, however, it's the gameplay that begins to bog it down. Each character has their own set of levels to play through. Peter has brawling levels, Stewie platformers, and Brian stealth. In Peter's levels you'll basiscally go through the game in a Final Fight like fashion. It's even set up in 2D side scrolling fashion. You're job is to beat up anything and everything that moves. Each time you down an enemy they drop food that Peter can use to fill his snack meter up. When full he can unleash a devastating attack. It's fun, for a time, and there's a lot of different interaction among your foes, but after a while it gets mighty repetative. Peter doesn't have a huge vareity of ways to deal with his enemies. Also, the game is pretty difficult. You could be beating up one of your foes while he beats you up at the same time. Your health drops quite fast.

Stewie's missions are all platform based. As Stewie, you'll use your mind control gun to control certain characters. Whether you're manipulating Death to kill someone, or Quagmire to try to sweet talk women, there's plenty of it to be done. Stewie also has a lot of jumping, double jumping and puzzle solving to do throughout his game, but again, it feels bland at times. Stewie's game is still much more fun to play through than Peter's, however.

Brian's missions are certainly the least fun of the lot. He's all about stealth. You'll have to sneak your way through rooms and make sure you don't get spotted. Seems simple, right? Well, it can be. Although, it's hard to tell just when you're in the sight of some of your onlookers. It's not difficult, it's just very frustrating sometimes. Especially if you do happen to get spotted. You'll have to start over and listen to the objectives again. Brian's levels are the least amount of fun in the entire game, and they are probably the most repetative as well.

However, to the game's credit, the repetative nature of some of the levels keeps the game from having a steep learning curve. It's simple to grasp the concept of the game, and it can overall be very fun to play. The problem is that it gets recycled rather fast. The game can take an upwards of 10-15 hours to complete, and it becomes repetative fairly early on, and it doesn't throw in a large variety of things to do. For example, you'll hardly be faced with more difficult obstacles as the game goes on. Still, it's quite nice that you can just pick up the game and get into it without too much of a hassle at all. There's just not enough of it to go around.

To be fair, Family Guy is probably one of the best video games based off a TV show to ever hit the video game market. Simply because it actually IS the show to begin with. Even though the gameplay has it's sticky spots, the overall presentation makes this worth a buy to just about any and every Family Guy fan. So it really boils itself down to... what are you more of? A hardcore gamer or a Family Guy fan? If you're a bigger gamer than Family Guy fan, then it might not be worth it to shell out the money for this game, and instead might be better to pick up the DVD boxsets. If however, you're a huge Family Guy fan, this is more than worth the money for it's excellent presentation and dedication to the show alone.

The Good

+Let's be honest here, the presentation is absolutely fantastic. It's filled with all the witty dialogue of the show, provided by the writer's themselves with lines delivered by the voice actors themselves. Along those lines, the game looks close to the animation provided within the show itself. This one aspect alone deserves recognition. There are also plenty of inside jokes and references to the actual show itself. This one giant aspect alone warrents the game as a must buy to Family Guy fans.

The Bad

-Another aspect that we have to face. There's little vareity to the game whatsoever, and while it's overall presentation is fantastic, it's hard to say the gameplay will satisfy hardcore gamers who have already played several other games out there that execute its gameplay aspects better than Family Guy does

OVERALL:

It's because of this unusual aspect of the game that I give Family Guy three stars out of five. It's a hit or miss title. One glaring pro over one glaring con.

PSP 3000 Review

PSP 3000
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Ok, there are three (3) reviews before this one and none of them talk about the Pack. So I will do my best here. First of all, the real color of the PSP is not the green represented in the picture. The picture shows a light green PSP and it's actually more a DARK Green! It looks great. IMO it looks a lot better than the picture in the box. Soon I will upload pictures! Now, nobody seems to care about this next issue I found: THE PACK INCLUDES Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker without the UMD CASE, I mean, THERE ARE NO BOX COVER ART in this package. For me it's a disadvantage 'cause I like the box art design. So, if having the UMD Case w/ Art is a priority, you should avoid this one and buy a Core Pack PSP and the Peace Walker game separately. I just learned to live w/ the pain... =( This PSP Entertainment Pack also includes a Memory Stick Pro Duo of 2GB (you'll need more than 2GB if you want to put videos and music on - Peace Walker has the option to install game data to faster the loading times and it takes about 800MB) and two vouchers: one is for downloading items for the game (stealth gun and a FOX T-Shirt) and another to download "2012" Movie at Wide Screen Standard Resolution - 480p (which can be transferred to the PS3 if you connect your PSP via USB once you downloaded the movie - I don't know if you can put the code into the PSN in the PS3, I guess you can).

I have to say that the GameStop exclusive Big Boss Pack is a much better deal than this one since it includes a 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo (not just 2GB) and a Peace Walker Branded accessory kit (which includes a carrying case for the PSP) for the same price. I didn't get that one because I don't like the camouflaged PSP. And after seeing the real green color of the Peace Walker Entertainment Pack I'm more than happy w/ it and I don't regret it!

The Peace Walker game by itself makes the PSP a greater system. It's really a Metal Gear Solid Game! It continues the story after Portable Ops events but it's more a sequel of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (which is great). The Dialogues, the scenes, the story... everything is there, in a pocket size! Peace Walker uses the RPG elements introduced in Portable Ops but expand them a lot more. If you like MGS series, you'll love this one. If you don't like / know MGS Series, YOU SHOULD TRY this one. It's really good! Personally, I'm having more fun than MGS4 game (I don't mean METAL GEAR ONLINE). The only weak point of the game is the Missing INFRASTRUCTURE mode for ONLINE Co-op / Vs. It's just Ad-Hoc. I have heard that you can link your PSP trough a PS3 via Ad-Hoc Party mode and play online, but I don't know how to do it and I haven't seen it in the instruction manual yet! Ad-Hoc Co-op is great: smooth and straight forward. You don't need a lot of tech knowledge to host/join a game. It's just great! 4/5 for the game (-1 for the missing infrastructure mode - I really miss it, even Portable Ops has it).

The other details that is not covered are the one for the PSP 3000, which you can find in others reviews around the web. This Pack doesn't include a new PSP, it's just a Green Colored PSP 3000.

I recommend this Pack for those who don't like the Camouflaged PACK (or don't like to buy in GameStop).I really like the color and for now (Amazon.com always lowers the games' prices), you can save about 20 bucks (PSP core-$170, MGS:PW-$39.99, and MemStick 2GB- about $7? = ~$217! I didn't count the "2012" movie because, honestly, who thinks this movie is a deal maker?! I mean, the movie is not that good and it's not HD either! So I'm seeing it as a welcome addition more than a deal maker! ;) I hope this helps! I will update the review if I find any other relevant thing!

Stories tell of a legendary soldier who once waged war against the world. His name was Naked Snake, a.k.a. Big Boss, and the truth behind this legend will finally be told. The era is the 1970's. Big Boss had stationed his "Soldiers Without Borders" in the steaming jungles of Colombia, South America, where he was approached by visitors from Costa Rica, a "nation without a military." In the wake of the Cuban Missile Crisis, as Latin America became a key to maintaining the power balance between East and West, Costa Rica had miraculously managed to maintain its peace and neutrality. However, in various regions of the country, a mysterious armed force seemed to be engaging in suspicious activities. Now, to preserve peace in this nation without a military, the "Soldiers Without Borders" move into action. In time, they would be known as the founders of "Outer Heaven." Forge a new path and live the legend with Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, the first official Hideo Kojima game on the PSP system.

Co-op action is facilitated via the PSP's local wireless ad-hoc connection and features different types of missions. Missions more dependent on stealth are limited to two-player games, while others--for example, boss battles--are meant for games of up to four players. Players have their choice of different versions of Snake. These not only possess differing appearance, but more importantly, differing strengths. During co-op play players can pull resources by staying within a minimal distance from each other. This link is indicated by circles emanating around them. While maintaining this connection resources can be shared, including weapons, supplies and and overall health, indicated by a shared health bar. Players are able to view partner's inventory at a touch of the PSP's left or right face buttons, and when need be can resuscitate a fallen companion. When linked, players can also move in unison by virtually tapping your partner's shoulder with a touch of the D-pad and then making your move.
