(More customer reviews)I like keys that click, most people don't yet they make almost none the only keyboard I ever had was the 2001 sum such form an old nineties computer, but this one has those keys again, but even more sturdy and robust.The response time(low latency) is just as advertised and you can use it for more than just games I am typing this with far less fluster than most of my "high-end" indi-glow blu "gaming keyboards" could dream of. no bulk no indi-glow blu lights, no frilly looks, just performance and a sturdy large set of keys and a deep stroke for gamers(who are rough on equipment anyway).play FPS and RTS in the same form as in EEZILY! the respones and feel of this device has to be experienced I can't explain further!the keys can be revoved for a different color as in distinguishing a critical key to a non crit also don't mistakingly put a num key pad "1" to the "1" that goes above WAPS or you'll be tugging to get it free(not that it seems to damage this arnold schwartzaneiger of a keyboard).pair it with creative's Fata1ity 2020(NOT 1010) and you'll have a complete input set for the gaming rig just remember, 2020 is a short squat little mouse and a Danny Divito(referenced somewhere) sized mouse and an Arnold Schwartzneiger Keyboard is an odd thing!

(More customer reviews)Aside from a few volume and brightness control keys above the number pad, the Saitek Eclipse has a standard 104 keyboard layout. No fancy swoops, loops, or "enhanced" layouts. Except for the space bar being fatter, and the function keys being shorter, all keys are the proper size in the proper place with no frills. That is EXACTLY how you want it to be!

"Ergonomic" devices often tend to look futuristic, and have exaggerated design accents. But in the end, they don't interface well with human hands, and are mostly marketing gimmicks. Like most people, the last truly ergonomic thing you used was the finger molded handlebar grips on your tricycle.

The casing design does have some fancy swooping in the corners, with a molded-to-fit wrist rest. This "modular "X" form" absolutely does NOT interfere with function of the keyboard, and only enhances its' black and silver charm. Extreme enough for gamers, high-tech enough for enthusiasts, yet practical enough for serious work. The wrist rest is sleek and tapers down, but it wasn't very functional. I am happier with my black silicone one.

Even though the Eclipse is heralded for the stylish design, typing comfort, and hefty weight to prevent sliding, that is not enough to have the average person spend 50 bucks on a keyboard. Trust me, unless you prefer the joyful chuckle of clicking keyboards, you may not love the sleek silence without prejudice. If not, look elsewhere.

The real selling point here is, of course, the blue backlighting flowing in-between the keys and key caps. Thus giving the impression of "liquid cool" pulsing beneath your finger tips. Ahhhhh, definitely a fun keyboard to use, even without the bells and whistles. That can't be said of my Microsoft ergonomic keyboard which is being trashed! I am keeping the Microsoft Mouse because the black and silver wireless design perfectly compliments the Eclipse.

The blue light effect is better on the high setting, in my opinion, and could be brighter. It's also nice how the letters dim to black when you turn the light off. The full impact is most appreciated when you stand directly over the keyboard, and naturally, in the dark. The silver keys do seem to go black as the room goes darker, which provides great contrast.

There is a superior feeling one gets typing on something only sci-fi offered a few short years ago. That is not something most other keyboards do. This is hotter than the light up "desk keyboard", used by CEO Dillinger, in the movie, "TRON". You need not be a fan of TRON, like me, to enjoy basking in the soft glow of electronic light "eclipsing" through the crags. In fact, this is THE keyboard to have for players of the TRON 2.0 PC game. Star Wars fans may prefer the night-vision red model when fighting with Aniken Skywalker and Yoda over a pit of molten lava.

Cons: USB only with no compatibility with PS2 adaptors, or KVM switches. I suppose there is no way around needing the 6v USB ports to juice the lights. The only other option is a separate power plug, and and who wants that? Well, I might if it means a brighter keyboard and ability to use the PS2 connector. This would rock if it lit up as brightly as the number, caps, and scroll lock keys.

It is a quite and soft keyboard to type on. Maybe a bit too soft and quite for my tastes. But I am using this at work and quickly adapting to it. There is more room above the cursor keys to include a few more hot keys. Or maybe as a strip down the left side of the keyboard.

No instructions were included, at least not in my box. But it quickly was recognized by windows and I am typing away without any lag as reported by some users. Perhaps it depends on how many USB ports you have active. Expect to restart the computer a couple of times for the driver to get fully settled in. No CD software included or needed. There is an option under device manager that lets the keyboard take the computer out of standby mode.

I use mine at work, and the IT department will never be the same. So far everyone I show it to, stands in awe of the beauty - THEN I PUT THE LIGHT ON. Sure, I am one of those people who would like it brighter, but this is lovely to behold.

Even when powered down The Saitek is a simplistic piece of "form meets function" to admire and enjoy. Now if I can just convince the guys to work with the lights off. |-p

Saitek PC Gamer's Keyboard Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this keyboard despite some of the less than enthusiastic reviews I had read, and I couldn't be happier with it.I have no idea what those other reviewers are complaining about.The keyboard is nice and heavy with a detachable wrist rest, and of course the ever popular blue, backlit keys.The board is very stylish, but more importantly, it works flawlessly.Despite what you may have read in another review, the board DOES allow you to use the delete key to access the bios menu at boot up. It is no different than any other keyboard in that respect.It is also completely compatible with Windows XP SP2.Someone else mentioned that you couldn't use the separate command pad and the main keyboard at the same time.I don't know what their problem is, I use both the keyboard and command pad at the same time wihtout the slightest problem.The combination makes this the ideal keyboard for playing games such as first person shooters, as you can programme the keypad with up to 27 commands (9 buttons with three shift modes).Programming using the Saitek software is practically a no brainer (despite what others might have you believe) you simply open the profiler, click on the key you want to assign a function to, and then click on the key on the keyboard which corresponds to that function.It's no different that any other key mapping system.The one drawback is that, as mentioned elsewhere, there is no LED or any other indicator to show what shift mode you are in.It would have been useful had Saitek put the same blue LEDs around the shift mode keys and made it so that they would light up when that shift mode is selected.To me that is not a big enough of a problem to deduct a star for.I used a Logitech Elite keyboard prior to this, and the Saitek is far superior; if for no other reason than that with the Logitech you have to take an extra step to push a button to turn the I touch function on or off, and you have to push yet another button to lock or unlock the function keys.It was a real pain to be using a propgramme that made use of the function keys, and go to use the function buttons only to find that you forgot to unlock them first.No such problem with the Saitek.If you need special functions, you simply assign them to the command pad; so you have your special functions and your regular function keys work as they always have as well.All in all, the Saitek Gamer's Keyboard is a good, solid, fully functional keyboard that looks every bit as good as it works.

Microsoft Reclusa Gaming Keyboard (Black) Review

This is a great keyboard. After a month of use, I've gotten used to the extra keys (at first, I was pressing macro keys instead of Ctrl/Shift) and I love the visual impact of its sleek design. The "throw" of the keys is perfect -- not too much like a membrane, and fairly quiet, but just the right amount of tactile response.

The backlighting is similarly impressive, enabling you to type/play in the dark (even touch-typists need to see, sometimes). The USB cord docking feature is very nice -- it allows you to have the cord snake out of three convenient positions along the backside of the keyboard.

I haven't really noticed an enhanced response rate between the keys and software, but it's certainly no slouch.

The volume control (top right dial) is a welcome addition -- but why not a "mute" button? I can't find a way to program a "mute" command via the Reclusa software.Now for some downsides.

The macro software is somewhat lackluster. It switches on-the-fly for running programs, but there are no presets (other than the defaults) -- you'll have to hunt for .EXE files and assign keys to their profiles. To top it off, there are only 5 profiles available. Most gamers would probably prefer dozens. One key ejects the CD/DVD -- not helpful during a game, to be sure. The mail/web browser keys are in the same boat -- why enable them for full-screen game software?

The ESC key is in an awkward position. It's somewhat blocked by the (otherwise pretty) top layer of translucent plastic.

It's too easy to hit the right (or left) side buttons with a mouse. Disabling them helps, somewhat.

To top it off, connecting a Razer Copperhead (mouse) in one of the USB "convenience" on the top left/right causes the keyboard to remain unresponsive when rebooting the host PC. Once fully booted, connecting the mouse works. Connecting other common devices (like a flashcard reader) sometimes results in a "low power" message in Windows XP.If not for the dismal support software and the fact that mine came with what looks like a small "blister" or crack under the top layer of translucent plastic, I'd call this an excellent gaming keyboard. If there was a chance the software would be improved, over time, I'd mark it higher, but most companies release completely new versions of hardware with software, nowadays, opting to never improve on the original versions for current customers. 3/5 stars, 4 if they improve the drivers.

*update: driver updated, fixes a few things. Wrist pad has since broken off -- build quality may be somewhat lackluster, here. Lighting is still excellent, but I notice a significant brightness difference between the (always-on) NumLock indicator and the (never on) CAPS LOCK lights. If your PC is on 24/7, the keyboard stays lit, so LED brightness apparently degrades, over time.

(More customer reviews)Logitech is on a roll with their new keyboards.They've created an interesting and (usually) easy to follow line of keyboards that range from being perfectly competent (G110) to being absolutely wonderful (G19, G13).Sitting in the middle at one point was the G15.The G15 had very similar features to the G110 (which was a refresh of the G11).It came with an LCD screen where the G110 had none.The only one up the G110 had was in the programmable key department.On the side of all of the G series keyboards is a row of G-keys, which allowed you to do a variety of things, like program specific key strokes or even develop macros.All of these functions are controlled by software, that allows you to sync specific G-keys to specific games.This allows you to load a game, and have a specific key set for that particular game.

The original G15 apparently had 18 G-keys.When they redid the G series keyboards, they reduced that number to six programmable buttons (this is the previous model and the one I used).The new refresh (G510) ups the G-keys back to 18 (with the M buttons, this provides you with 54 unique functions per game).This allows games to have a vast combination of keys to choose from and even trumps the G19, the "top of the line keyboard" in terms of numbers.That is, until the inevitable G19 refresh.The G510 has an monochromatic LCD screen that has a couple of really cool widgets available.It works seamlessly with Ventrilo, so if you're in the middle of a game and you're playing with new people, you can see who's talking, comments people leave, etc.It works very well.I use it all the time with the G19.Other games offers specific widgets.I've seen this mostly with Lord of the Rings Online, where you can see your stats on the screen.It also has other non-gaming uses, such as media displays.You can see the song track/artist of music you're playing, for instance.It can also be used as a clock, a POP3 Monitor or as a RSS feed.These are all features that carry over from the G15 and are a step up from the G110 which lacks the LCD screen.This is also a step down from the G19 which offers the same functionality, but in color.The G19 will allow you to watch videos on the screen, but the small screen doesn't necessarily make it conducive to video watching on a regular basis.

Otherwise, the keyboard operates like you'd expect.It has backlights that allows you to use a multitude of colors to light your keys. It has both integrated USB for audio for a headset and also separate audio/mic jacks with the option to mute it.One nice feature is a slider that allows you to switch between gaming and Windows, which makes it so you accidently do something to minimize your game.It does lack the USB hub options of the G19, though.Overall, the G510 is a great refresh of an already capable keyboard.For those who have the G15 and are thinking about upgrading, I don't think I'd necessarily do it (or maybe look at the G19, which I will continue to use).But for those new to the Logitech G series keyboards, this is a great intermediate keyboard that offers most of the functionality of the G19 and offers more functionality than their entry level keyboard (G110). No matter which one you go with, I'm really impressed with Logitech's keyboards.

Sidewinder X6 Keyboard USB Port Review

I have had both G15s so this is my third gaming keyboard.In general the keyboard is very nice, but I suggest consider what game you want it for.I purchased the keyboard for Warhammer Online, to help me with the extreme number of keys that need to bound for your abilities.

The first thing to be aware of, is the macros are driven by software driver.There is also a deficiency in the drivers that do not allow the macros to execute in games that require administrator mode in Vista.I know, I know this probably isn't a deficiency in the driver but in the game software.All I care is it doesn't work in Warhammer unless I disable User Access Control (UAC).Also this is a result of the decision to support macros via driver.

Also the num-pad switching position is nice, but I haven't found a use for it.If your hands must always be on the a,w,s,d for moving, then the number pad is too far out of reach to reach easily.I have yet to come up with a creative, and trainable solution but am going to keep trying.There has to be gold in there somewhere.(The num pad can be made to be all macro so I will probably start down that route.)

OK Those are my negatives,the positives:

The keys press firmly and nicely.The volume knob is very nice. And the dual lighting on the keyboard is very nice.I have a hard time finding these keys but I figure that is just a training issue, but the alignment feels different (I hit ~ a lot when going for the 1 key).

It goes very nice with my MS Gaming Mouse, although I have not found any particular synergies.The Macro keys on the left are nice but I still find them hard to get to with a pinky if I'm required to work my movement keys.

So all in all, a very good keyboard with a few issues with my play style and/or hand size (I have long fingers).I would give it 5/5 if weren't for the driver issue that interferes with my play patterns.

I give it a 4 1/2 stars. The keys feel nice and mushy. The LCD is no doubt really awesome to have for any multi-tasking person. I feel the features on the video player/YouTube player is missing some basic options and that is why I'm not giving it a 5-star (although this could all change with new apps or updates). Overall, the keyboard is for any gadget lovers/video enthusiasts/YouTube fans -- not just gamers. The macro G-keys, as usual in previous keyboards, is also a powerful tool for anyone wanting to work more efficiently, and again, not just for gaming.

[2005 model] G15 v1 (Blue LED)has 18 G-Keys x 3 modes = 54 programmable.
[2007 model] G15 v2 (Orange LED) has 6 G-Keys x 3 modes = 18 programmable.
[2009 model] G19 (White is the default LED) has 12 G-keys x 3 modes = 36 programmable.

THE KEYS ON THE KEYBOARD:
G15 v1: It's small and spread apart.
G15 v2: It's larger and close together.
G19: The size is in between those two keyboards; it's also close together like the v2. Overall, I like typing on this the best.

Some positives and negatives of each keyboard...

G15 v1 (2005 - Blue LED):
+ Has the most G-keys (most people didn't seem to need/use this much, including myself, hence why v2 had so little)
+ Volume/media control wheel is nice
+ LCD can be closed shut completely
+ Has handles on the top of the keyboard for carrying it easier.
+ Lots of custom apps to be found on the net.
- Takes up the most desk space
- USB 1.1 (okay for plugging USB headphones and gaming controllers)

G15 v2 (2007 - Orange LED):
+ For those that don't need that many G-keys and prefer larger keys.
- LCD cannot tilt (already fixed)
- Volume control is just a plain button
- USB 1.1

G19 (2009):
+ Color LCD (biggest selling point and biggest upgrade) - what keyboard has a color video display?! Any geek's dream come true. It's great for multi-tasking and time flies even more now that you don't waste a second even on game loading screen or spectating a game.
+ USB 2.0 (all previous G15's were USB 1.1, so now it is suitable for even connecting flash/hard drives and not just game controllers) -- this is why it also requires an AC adapter to the keyboard. The USB ports are both on the same side now, which makes it a little easier to locate than the previous keyboards having it one on each side; however, it can be a problem when connecting flash drives or SD card readers that really stick out to the side)
+ Custom backlight colors
+ Volume scroll (although I wish it turned smoother) / some custom apps for the G15 uses the volume up/down to select menus/songs, so the new up/down scroll volume control on the G19 works out perfectly for that.
+ The keys have a nice clean feel and layout (as mentioned before, the keys aren't too spread out and still large enough, so there's less strain on the fingers for me)
- Requires AC adapter (although it is understandable, some may not have a plug open)
- Lack of app support for now.
- Price is a killer! (considering there isn't really any other keyboard with a video display, it is slightly understandable... but the apps still needs work.) ====================================================== ISSUES FOR ME:

* I have to say the documentation is very poor for this keyboard. I had no idea what the "Clipboard Commands" (10.4 on the readme file) was all about for playing a YouTube video -- that I actually want to watch. The only option you get when you enter the YouTube Video Player is viewing "Top Rated, Top Favorites (not your own), Most Viewed, Most Popular, Discussed, etc." -- ofall time, this month, this week, or today (default) -- Sure, sometimes some interesting videos may come up, but I honestly never really care for those "RANDOM" videos anyway; I prefer watching videos that I actually WANT to watch (not some "YouTube Celebrity" talking about their life all the time).

I mean, the dedicated YouTube viewer is definitely a nice idea, but I don't know why they couldn't just add a simple built-in search to toggle between typing on the LCD and out of it!(Hopefully some talented people can make some custom app to do this; for the G15, the custom app music players, such as the myLCD WVS, are far superior to Logitech's Music Media player)

It has the usual LCD Clock, Performance Monitor, Countdown Timer, but having an LCD screen, it would have been useful and nice if it at least had a built-in notepad to type out codes and other memos! (this would have also been a great workaround for using the "clipboard command")

Basically, you first have to enable "automatic playback of YouTube video URLs" in the advanced tab options, and whenever you copy (Ctrl + C) a YouTube URL, it will automatically end up on the LCD screen. So if you're in a game and you can't type and highlight/copy text, then you really can't search anything.

And to actually search for videos, you have to use their "clipboard command" (you'll want to macro this instead of having to remember and type this command every time):

AND THEN you have to highlight all that and COPY (Ctrl + C) it to actually execute the search. I believe in games like WoW and Counter-Strike, this is OK for now and not completely useless, since it lets you type and highlight in-game for games such as those.

* You cannot navigate to different video folders through the LCD. You have to keep setting one video directory/all sub-directory and it will list all of them.

* Would be nice to change aspect ratio/stretch/zoom/fit when viewing videos, and especially for pictures. Since it has directional controls, they should allow you to zoom in on pictures. The picture viewer is pretty useless for me.

* It needs a quick jump to top/bottom or multiple files instead of scrolling through all the files one by one, especially if you have lots of videos. It would be nice if the volume control scroll could be temporarily toggled into acting as navigating up/down menus because it's so much easier than the buttons.

* I find it odd that it allows you to go quickly back to the top/bottom if you get to the end of the list for the main 'Switch to Program' menu screen; however, for the video/YouTube player list, once you get to the top or bottom, you're stuck and have to scroll all the way back up/down yourself! Personally, I find this inconvenient, especially since the navigation buttons aren't necessarily easy to keep pressing. For the YouTube search results, it does not allow you to HOLD-scroll either.

* For YouTube search results, it only displays the first 25 video results.

* It would be nice to be able to have a video playlist or be able to access your YouTube account's favorites.I would love it if it had a Winamp support so that it plays videos from the Winamp list too.

* Fast forward is already determined depending on the video duration.If it's a really short clip, like less than 10 seconds, then you can fast forward/rewind at 1sec intervals. However, if it's an hour long clip or so, it's already set to fast forward at 5 minutes. It doesn't matter how long you hold the button or release, the speed is not variable and is already set. This makes getting the precise spot of the clip impossible.

* It only looks for common video extentions. I have some .flv files that I saved directly from YouTube, but I have to rename them to .avi for the LCD to pick it up.

* If you searched several YouTube videos on the LCD, then you can press the Logitech-back arrow button key to see the previous results/videos, but once you go back, you can't go forward!

* Once a current YouTube-sent video ends playing, it ends up going back to the menu screen and there is no quick video repeat option. It really would be nice to have a history of viewed YouTube videos played on the G19 LCD!

* The install CD that came with mine was an older version 3.0.1 (but the website had a 3.02), so you should check that before installing.

* As long as if the video plays fine on the main system player, such as Windows Media Player, having the right codecs and everything on the system (not built-in codecs like VLC), then it should play on the G19 monitor.

* If the person uploading a video on YouTube doesn't allow external linking, it will not be playable on the LCD; you will get that error message instead and ask if you want to play directly on a browser.

* Sometimes the YouTube Player may not respond to your clipboard commands; you'll either have to restart the Logitech LCD Manager or just kill the "LCDYT.exe" process...Read more›

(More customer reviews)Caveat: I am not a gamer. I bought this keyboard on a quest for something better than the mediocre, mushy-feeling, gimmicky keyboards that have lots of features but which fall short on the fundamental purpose of keyboard -- typing.

The first thing you notice about this keyboard is that it is big. Really big. It measures 21.5" from side to side. I was so concerned about this keyboard taking over my limited desk space that I almost put it back in the shipping carton unopened. That would have been a mistake -- this is a fabulous keyboard, especially for those of us who grew up on the original IBM PC/XT, and AT keyboards.

No, it doesn't have the clicky sound of the original IBM boards, but the layout is nearly perfect and the feel is excellent.

I had been using a Logitech MX3000 keyboard, which met an untimely death by coffee. I was happy enough with the MX3000, and I almost bought a 3200 to replace it. But I didn't really need a cordless keyboard, and I never really cared for the mouse that comes with the Logitech 3xxx cordless desktop sets. Now that I have them side-by-side, there is no comparison. The G11 feels solid without being stiff; the MX3000 feels mushy and imprecise. The F-keys on the G11 are full-sized and are located where my fingers think they ought to be!

The provided keyboard profiler software is unobtrusive and easy to install. I have found the "G" keys handy for storing passwords, my e-mail signature, and other short snippets of text. The backlighting feature is more useful than I imagined. I don't miss the extra buttons on my MX3000; the G11's volume control and media buttons cover about99% of my needs. I would have liked a standby button, but I can understand why you wouldn't want one on a gaming keyboard.

$69 is a lot of $$$ for a keyboard. But if you spend most of your days typing, it is money well spent!

I also have the Logitech G11 gaming keyboard which I was using prior to this one. First of all, if you don't need a gaming keyboard, don't buy one. I noticed a few reviews that actually seemed to view this keyboard negatively for having lots of keys they won't use. Doesn't make sense, does it? If you are not a gamer or the idea of macro recording and extra keys doesn't entice you, this is a rather expensive keyboard. You would be much better off getting a wireless Logitech desktop for your non-gaming needs.

Now, if you ARE a gamer, welcome to heaven!! I absolutely love the softness of the keys on this keyboard. They are quiet and very responsive. The keys are silky smooth and it's just a joy to use. It has taken a bit to get used to the extra keys along the left side as they are so close to the rest of the keys and when not looking, it can be slightly annoying to find where you are on the keyboard. I'm sure this will disappear in a few more days of use though. All of the features on this keyboard are absolutely wonderful and I'm so glad they chose to go with the minimum features needed to enhance your game play and not clutter up the keyboard with a bunch of stuff you do not need.

The macro keys are awesome. Very easy to use and making new macros on the fly is quick and simple. The windows lock key is invaluable. Why has no one thought of this before?! I can't tell you how many times I've been in a heated PvP battle and accidentally hit my windows key. You know the rest. The headset and microphone mute buttons are also ingenious. Not everyone has a quality headset or microphone with a built in mute button, so this is priceless for those people and also more convenient for me to push one of these buttons rather than reach up to my head to mute the mic there. The back light turns on and off with a simple tap on the button. No need to open up a configuration program to turn it on and off. Nice. The back light is just the right intensity and the ability to change the colors (pink!) is very cool. The media player buttons are pretty standard on keyboards today, but I do love how they confined them to a small space on the right side of the keyboard so they aren't dominating my play area on the keyboard like others I have had. The volume wheel is also the best I have ever seen on a keyboard of any kind. I don't particularly like the volume dials that "click" with every movement because volume control can lack a lot of precision at times. One click can take you from too loud to so quiet you can barely hear it. This volume wheel is very smooth with no clicking and works like a dream. The mute button is also right beside it so you can quickly push it if you are like me and have to keep an ear out for a baby monitor in the evenings. Last but certainly not least, the USB 2.0 and headphone/microphone jacks are absolutely wonderful! I could never go back to a keyboard without at least one USB 2.0 port having so many gaming peripherals and electronic gadgets. My only gripe is that I wish they had kept the two USB 2.0 ports of the G11. All our headsets are USB anyway but we do have one headset that can be either.

I have to take the time to refute a few of the claims here on the other reviews as I don't believe this keyboard deserves the 3.5 stars it currently has here on Amazon. Some of the negative reviews are what made me skip over the G110 and try the G11 first. I honestly wish I had waited for this keyboard because it is superior in many ways. One reviewer states this keyboard feels cheap because it's lightweight. This keyboard absolutely does NOT feel cheap. Everything about it boasts quality. Just because it is lightweight does not mean it is garbage. I appreciate the fact that it's lightweight, as I'm sure many others do as well. It was also stated that this keyboard is unattractive. I can only assume this person was comparing photos and not actual products side by side because there is nothing unattractive about this keyboard, but it is a matter of opinion I suppose. Another reviewer compared it to the "beautiful SideWinder X6" which to me looks almost identical but with extra bulky buttons along the top side. And how much does it really matter when you don't usually look down at your hands while gaming, typing or anything else. I did at first think my G11 was more attractive than that G110 until I had them both in my lap. The layout of the G11 is meant to be pleasing to the eye with the mix of silver and black and the fancy handles?? on the top. But when you have them side by side and you see how enormous the G11 is beside this little beauty, it's easy to see why I favor the G110. The G11 has extra macro keys, true, but between the normal in game hot keys and my Razer Naga mouse with 12-key thumb pad, I don't need 54 potential macro keys. 36 suits me just fine.

It was also stated in a previous review that the back light is uneven or that you have to be looking straight down at the keyboard to even see it. This is just flat out untrue. Unless this person received a defective product, there is no way this is true. The lighting on my keyboard is just right. Bright enough to be clearly visible during daylight (which another reviewer stated was impossible) and dim enough that it isn't harsh on your eyes in the dark. The lighting is also perfectly even across all keys.

Another issue pointed out by other reviewers is the supposed lack of height from the feet on the back of the keyboard. The height on this keyboard is exactly the same as my other two Logitech keyboards AND my husband's Microsoft keyboard. The perfect height for comfort and the removable wrist support is actually very functional on this keyboard. Normally I remove them because they are simply too low and do nothing to actually support my wrists. This keyboard sports the first wrist support that actually comes straight out from the keyboard and actually *gasp* supports my wrists. It's very comfortable and wonderful during long gaming sessions.

Overall, if you are looking for a quality gaming keyboard with lots of customizable keys and you aren't swayed by the largely unnecessary LCD screen of the G19 series, you really can't go wrong with the G110. Ignore the naysayers, you will absolutely love it. A great buy for the serious gamer who wants functionality and not flash.
