(More customer reviews)This is much better than Riven, because it was produced by the Frenchmen at Ubisoft instead of the original Myst and Riven developers in Spokane. The resources and ability in making high quality texture maps, ambient sound nodes, and more convincing sprite animations shows. Also it does not use the real time 3D rendering engine that the horrible-looking Uru uses. everything is pre-rendered. notice water buckets and touch them: water ripples will appear i nthe bucket. How about that! Displacement map animations! It all adds up to a very nicely built immersive experience that really has no peer except for the Journeyman Project Trilogy (which I prefer because of the more intriguing storyline)
