MediEvil Review

This game is incredible. It is so much fun to play and has wonderful graphics and a great story line. Of all the RPG's I have purchased, I have yet to find one which I like and enjoy as much as Medievil. I reccomendthis game to anyone who enjoys RPG's. I enjoyed this game so much that Iwas actually sad when I finally beat the game. The mixture of fighting andpuzzle solving is one aspect that makes this game so much fun. There aremany hidden clues and "secret" areas to uncover, so that when youreplay the game you always find something that you had not found the firsttime you played it. I hope there is going to be a sequel because itcertainly deserves one. This is the greatest game I have ever played and Iwish I could find another like it.

Ape Escape Review

Ape Escape

While I regard the Crash Bandicoot series the premiere platformers for the Playstation, I was pleasantly surprised with Ape Escape. Hunting down monkeys is such a hilarious concept it makes we wonder why nobody thoughtof it before. Overall, I found the game to be very well-designed, fun, andaddictive. The graphics, while not as pretty as Crash Bandicoot or Spyro, grow on you after a short amount of time. The developers made optimal useof the Dual Shock controller, more so than any other company. Control isperfect. I also found that, compared to many other 3D games, the in-gamecamera caused me very few problems. To make it easier for younger players, the game levels are littered with helpful hints. While not a huge game--itcan be finished in about a week--the three mini-games that are eventuallyopened up are a ton of fun and add longevity to the title. What I foundmost amazing is that each of the game's 204 monkeys has a unique name andpersonality. A tremendous amount of creative energy went into this title. You want to complete 100% of the game just to see every square inch of eachlevel. If I can find any fault with the game at all, it's that you mustcomplete the levels in a linear fashion. Other than that, it's an unusualand highly enjoyable platformer. Highly recommended.

Crash Bandicoot: WARPED Review

Crash Bandicoot: WARPED

Crash:Warped is, in my opinion the best in the series. The game is not incrediably huge, but it has alot to offer.Intelligent level designs, whacked-out bossess, and eye-pleasing graphics await you on your journeey. This is a journey that will keep you playing for awhile, since that afteryou initially beat a level and get the crystal, you can go back and playthe level in a time-trial.If you get through the level in under a certainamount of time, you can get other rewards that can unlock more levels andplayable characters after you beat the game. And, with the $19.99 pricetag, it is more than worth the money. If you have this game and really, really like it, i suggest you dish out $20 bucks and pick up Sypro theDragon, also in the greatest hits promotion. In the end, I suggest thatyou buy these 2 games for the price of one new game, and you'll be playingfor quite awhile.Have fun!

SOCOM: US Navy Seals Review

SOCOM: US Navy Seals

I encountered this game at this year's E3 and, I must say, I was very impressed.PS2 owners have been anticipating both online game play and this game for awhile now and it's nice to see both finally surface.
SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs takes full advantage of online gameplay, featuring a 16 multiplayer mode, 3 game types in 12 online multiplayer maps that were created specifically for online play, persistent servers, and great clan support. The game is only available to broadband users for online play because of the rich gameplay, which should significantly cut the lag time so many other games have a problem with.Even better, SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs is free to play online.
SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs is perhaps one of the most lifelike FPS to develop, with Sony using actual SEALs for consulting purposes. The missions, movements, tactics and SEALs themselves are true to life and unparalleled. The weapons, which you can carry two of at a time, are realistically accurate and react to real-life factors like fatigue, movement and weapon recoil.
But for the majority, the most anticipated feature of SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs is the headset that is bundled with the game ...It boasts voice recognition capabilities that will come in quite handy during the game, as it's hard to shoot down terrorists while typing on a keyboard.Shout to your teammates for help and they'll (hopefully) come to your aide, all with minimal lag time.During single-player mode, enemies will also react to your vocal commands.
Overall, this is an excellent FPS.From the previews and gameplay at E3, I have not one single complaint about the game. It's fun, exciting, and has great replay value. Dial-up users will be disappointed that the game is only available to broadband users for online play, but that feature will only help the game, making it much more enjoyable to play over the internet without huge delays.
