Dungeon Keeper Review

I really enjoyed the wicked genre of the game. Some people hate the fact that you start from scratch, but what are the odds that you'll find an underground empire that you don't have to fight for or build yourself. The real trick is keeping your minions from desserting because they have sence of creature comforts to and you have to pay them (what you thought they'd just work for you putting their life at stake with no cash income?) and keep them from warring amongst themselves because they have natural enemies. This game is really humorous (ever slap a bile demon) the creatures reactions to certains actions are normally quite funny. One word of advice never sacrifice/slap the horned reaper. if you sacrifice it the creatures will desert with the tought that you're an idiot for sacrificing the best demon. If you slap him he'll go into a killing frenzy killing everything in sight until is but a bloody wasteland before him this is actually quite funny to watch,but...

Sometimes you just need to express your dark side. In Dungeon Keeper, you're the boss of a horrible, rotten-smelling dungeon, and you must keep all of your loathsome, demonic creatures in line. If that weren't enough to keep you busy, your lair is continually invaded by hoards of idealistic "heroes" wanting to slay you, proclaim a triumph over evil, and go back to a village feast in their honor. What's an evil boss to do? Unleash your minions, set deadly traps, cast spells, and punish them with your torture devices. And most of all, teach those dumb do-gooders a lesson.

Dungeon Keeper 2 Review

We waited quite a while for Dungeon Keeper 2 to come out, and bought it immediately when it did. On one hand, it's great for a sequel. People who played DK1 will easily be able to pick up on moving units, building rooms, lining corridors with traps.
The graphics are better in the sense thatthey're more geared towards future development. Instead of pixel-basedgraphics, the creatures and rooms are now drawn with polygons. While thatmakes some of the monsters look clumsy, it does mean that future graphicswill be much smoother and cleaner.
Going down into your dungeon bypossessing a creature does not cause the creatures to turn into a cloud ofdots - the rooms you roam through are still crisp and easy to see. Roamingthrough your own dungeons is one of the true pleasures of this game, too!
There are only a few extra rooms - you'd have hoped for much morefrom a sequel that took this long to make. The casino is neat, if onlybecause a jackpot-winning minion starts dancing and singing when he wins.(Disco Inferno!)
Rooms have better graphics, though. The hen-houses inthe hatchery, the on-wall bookshelves and torture racks, everything shows asubtle touch.
If choosing between DK1 and DK2, I'd definitely recommendpeople get this game. The challenges and gameplay in DK2 are better thanDK1, and DK1 has many new extra features like Pet Dungeons.
New playerswill appreciate having a well crafted game that is a fun challenge, whileexperienced players will appreciate the subtle differences between the oldand new version.
Don't expect a masterpiece of Sequelhood, but do expecta fun strategy gaming experience that will last quite a while!
