Power Stone 2 Review

Four stars is pretty good when I rate a video game, but low and behold, this game is great. This series started off with the silent Power Stone which was a free roaming fighting game with interactive boards. This aint'no classical way to fight like 2D games like Street Fighter or Marvel vs.Capcom, this is the first of its kind, and its pretty [darn] good.
Everything I hated about Power Stone has been fixed and Iam pleasedto say they did a bang up job. To start with the characters would be sillysince the selection is sparse and is not relevant to the whole gamingexperiance. This game soley relies on using your environment to youradvantage. For example, there is a gun turret on the boat, to rid of yourenemies best, hop on the turret and blast them out of the water. Fun and agreat alternative to fighting. In the game, Capcom added a new feature wichallowed you to buy wepons and items in the Item Shop, just like Marvel vs.Capcom with Secret Factor. The levals have been touched up with a newtwist, the environments change. Yes, hard to believe but if your boat isoff course, there is a possibility that it can hit and iceberg and the boatcould sink and you would be forced to climb onto the iceberg. This allhappens and you are still fighting.
This sequal has new characters, new[changing] environments, four-player mayhem, and new wepons and items thatwill make this a worthy game to buy for fans of the original. For those ofyou who have never tried the orginal, give it a whirl. I have two knocks onthis game, one is no network play and two is its confusing with fourplayers. These knocks are minor and so small, it dosent affect the game.Check it out, this is one not to pass up.

Product Description:
There are plenty of 3-D fighting games out on the market, but no others quite as crazy as this. Power Stone 2 chucks the precision attack combos of the Street Fighter-type games in favor of a free-for-all melee that allows characters to walk in and out of the battle and use found objects as weapons. You'll encounter more than 120 items that can serve as weapons, vehicles, traps, and more. Find three Power Stones (or beat them out of an opponent) to temporarily turn into a more strapping, punishing version of yourself and knock inches off your opponents' life meters.

Turok: Rage Wars Review

Although many places on the net and in magazines have reviewed this title and given it medocre scores, they are missing the point of Rage Wars. They mention that its plot is not that good.Well, the game was not releasedfor plot, it was released to be an awesome multiplayer experience, which itis. There are many modes in this game that will satisfy the novice andveteran players. The single player modes are: 1 player trials, Frag Fest, and Time Trial. They are all based upon a player meeting certain goals inorder to advance. These are fun for a long time. For two players, there is the 2 player trials mode. This is much like 1 player, but you andyour friend play cooperatively to fight the computer and advance.Theone to four player multiplayer mode is where this game excells.Itfeatures four modes: Bloodlust, Team Bloodlust, Frag Tag, and Capture theFlag. These in my opinion match the fun of goldeneye. The levels are verygood and the fun that comes from this will leave friends playing for hourson end. With the tremendous graphics and Bot AI that can make oneplayer feeling like he is playing quality opponents, this game isdefinately a keeper.I give it 5 stars for this reason.Acclaim hasproduced a truly amazing title.

Product Description:
Whether you're one of the millions of fans of the Turok series or are just partial tomultiplayer deathmatches, Turok: Rage Wars blends the two favorites into afirst-person shooter fan's dream game. All of the solid level design, inspired baddies, and engrossing gameplay elements of the Turok games are here, with new weapons,power-ups, and incredibly smart bots (computer opponents). The only difference is thisgame is a pure action free-for-all in which good aim and fast feet are the keys tosuccess.
Rage Wars offers a variety of opponent and map options. Play with up to fourother humans or a combination of humans and bots on more than 36 maps. Don't worry aboutidentifying the bots as the buggy opponents are running in place in a corner with gunsblazing at the floor--the computerized gunners of Rage Wars are perhaps smarter than the flesh- and-bones variety of opponent. The arsenal of weapons range from the familiar to theentirely unique. Turok favorites include the crossbow, mag pistol, flare gun, and scorpionlauncher. In addition, a freeze gun chills enemies into blocks of party ice, an inflator gunturns players into waddling weather balloons before popping (remember DigDug?), and the Chestburster--well, let's just say that it lives up to its name. --EricTwelker
