(More customer reviews)I don't get why this game has such low ratings - I've been playing it ever since it came out, and I'm still not bored of it. If you have a ps3, a headset, and a controller - you have no reason to not own this game. It has great music and colorful, unique graphics - and most of all, addicting gameplay. There's nothing quite like hooking up your headset and playing a game with your friends miles away who are on their headsets, joining together to capture an outpost, break down a wall, or capture the princess.

Now granted, this game isn't perfect - online matches can get stale, with neither team gaining any ground and the match going on for hours (at worst) - but if that happens, you simply enter another match. This shouldn't be so hard to figure out, people. Of course I would rather not have to deal with that (who wouldn't?) but the reality is that this happens not all that often, so most of the time I am jumping into matches that are very enjoyable. And of course, there's always the offline mode - which has plenty of merit itself - an entertaining children's story-book driven single player campaign (although with a lame ending I must admit), bot battling, and the "gladiate" mode, where you fight off enemies in an arena. Plus there's the "get fabulous" section - where you customize your character's appearance.

I think this is an excellent game, well worth the money - it's flaws are very easily overlooked, in my opinion at least. And my friends agree - we've clocked countless hours into it already and I don't see that changing anytime soon. If you want a game that'll hook you - get this. Probably the best PSN title of the year.

(More customer reviews)This is a fun variation of cake mania. You get to select one of like 5 or 6 different locations to go to. If you choose the wrong one first it can be difficult. (China or Cave) New customer types- some are very amusing and some can be annoying. (witches that turn your customers into monkeys and change their orders if they get impatient.) (About half of the places have a customer with this ability.) Overall it's not too difficult if you strategize and use your powerups wisely. Fun if you enjoy time management games. It's different than the others in the series, so you don't feel like you've been there done that right away like some games.

Cake Mania 2 Review

(More customer reviews)After mastering Cake Mania, I of course bought No. 2. There are lots of new characters, graphics, etc. but the strategy remains the same. This game differs from the first in that the location of the ovens, topping machines, and icing machines switch locations at every level. Also, the types of cakes baked are not the same on all 3 machines whichmakes the baking process a bit more difficult. The first few levels (or "worlds" - you'll see when you play the game) are relatively easy. However, my experience is that the levels go from this level to straight-up impossible (or very difficult). I guess this is a good thing for Cake Mania addicts as this challenge keeps the game fresh. I tried to find No. 2 for DS and apparently, as of right now (2008), Cake Mania will not be coming to DS (at least not this year). :(
