(More customer reviews)Marvel vs Capcom 2 for Xbox is a great game, but be patient. It takes a while to unlock all of the characters, and it also a pretty rare game. If you can find it for under $50, BUY IT!!! I bought mine for $36 pre-owned. (since they stopped making this game, everyone is buying it and selling it for bogus amounts!!)

X-men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse Review

(More customer reviews)Okay, well my thoughts: the graphics are def better on this system. There isn't heavy cell shading at all, instead you get 3D looking graphics. The only draw back is that the screen is a bit too small for the game, its better to apperciate on a console. And the load times for each level or area ranges anywhere from 10-20 seconds (usually the later). HOWEVER the psp version does have its perks. Not only do you get EVERYTHING (including the movies)from the original platform version in this version but you get a ton of exclusives. The first sets of exclusives are 4 ADDITIONAL unlockable characters. The characters are: Nate Grey, Cannonball, Cable and Dark Phoenix. The second exclusives are 9 additional missions (which are called comic book missions). These missions include the following scenrios: X-cutioner's song, Age of Apocalypse, Fatal attractions and much much more!

So if your a big X-fan and you have/want a PSP...def get this game. The cast becomes more diverse with the additonal characters and its always fun to play more levels!

40 Years of the X-Men Review

(More customer reviews)First off, this isn't a game, or a movie.Its a DVD-rom that can only be viewed on a DVD capable computer.
THE GOOD
This the first 40 year run of the comic book X-men, currently titled Uncanny X-Men.It includes issues 1-461, in order by year, including Giant Size X-Men 1.It also includes all the annuals in a separate menu.These are high quality scans, all in PDF format.
THE BAD
This includes ONLY Uncanny X-Men issues. Thats all fine and dandy, until you get to the mid-80's when X-Factor and New Mutants began their runs.So when you get to major cross over events, like the Mutant Massacre, Inferno, X-tiction Agenda, X-cutioner's Song, and the minor ones inbetween, you only get the Uncanny issues.This leaves some major holes in the stories.Sure, you can go buy the TPBs of the crossovers, but then you're re-buying the Uncanny issues.All the Age of Apocalypse is missing too, along with X-franchising one shots like X-Men Prime.
THE UGLY
You'll have to play around with the viewer settings to make the pages readable on a standard screen, without making them too difficult to flip through.All pages seem to be scanned in two page spreads.And all the original ads are intact.
Overall, its nice in and of itself, I just wish something could have been done about the cross-overs.That and the general lack of knowledge about this product here on Amazon and on the net in general are probably making this a rough sell at $50.

X-Men Legends II Rise of the Apocalypse Review

(More customer reviews)X-Men 2 takes everything the first one did wrong and either fixes or scraps it, and then takes everything the first one did right and makes it better!Now, I'm a huge fan of the first one, so I didn't really think there was much wrong with it, but X-Men 2 is so much better!

The action is very intense and fast-paced, and I also love the customization you can put into your heroes (or villains).This could have been the game's only flaw--you level up so often it becomes a distraction from the action.However the designers handle this by giving you the option of automating level-ups and power allocations, so if micro-management isn't your thing, feel free to just slug it out.

There are a great mix of characters to choose from, although in my opinion there is some imbalance to some of them, such as Scarlet Witch who has NO melee capabilities to speak of, and no way to develop them, or Nightcrawler, who while a cool character is very energy dependant but very slow to regenerate said energy.These are minor quibbles, however.Chances are you'll find a few favorites and stick with them.This is rewarded in fact, because if you switch characters too often, they won't level up very fast and you will doubtless find yourself outclassed at a key moment (unless you spend some time training them up in the Danger Room).

Another nice feature is the unlockable characters.Xavier, Deadpool, and best yet--the uber-hero IRON MAN (why uber, you ask?He has the best elements of all the characters--flying, tanking, melee, and blasting)!!!The PC version contains a couple of additional characters--Sabretooth and Pyro, however these are basically just re-skinned versions of Wolvering and Sunfire.I would recommend sticking with the console versions since the PC version is said to be buggy and controls are a little more difficult.The X-Box version has the cleanest graphics (naturally).

The single-player campaign is a bit short--probably about 25-30 hours to complete, but the replayability factor is huge.You'll want to hurry up and finish the game just so you can go back and replay it with a different set of characters.Also, the multiplayer is a nice touch to increase replayability, with a 4-person online co-op mode.

Overall, this a a fantastic game, and well worth the money for anyone who enjoys fast-paced action, RPG elements, and Marvel.
