(More customer reviews)This is a game is good but has a few flaws. I like this, it is the best Digimon game yet. The game flaw is the YOU CAN ONLY GET EIGHT ROOKIE DIGIMON, so people who like Gabumon will see him but will not get him as a partner.Also every rookie Digimom can change into one another. EX: Argumon can become Metal Garurumon and War Greymon. At the beginning of the game Agumon, Gilamon, and a bear Digimon are chased by a spider like Digimon. For those Digimon fans that don't know who this is. This is really one of DIABOROMON forms that shows up in DIABOROMON STRIKES BACK. This game is full of Digimon that were in Japanese movies that have not come out in the USA. That is a reason I like this game. Also in the game you can Digivolve or DNA Digivolve during Battle. This game is grate but it's hard because you have to go on journeys to battle some or all town leaders, I have not gotten that far yet because I kept fighting strong wild Digimon so when I started the on the Journey for real, my Digimon's levels were at 22 each. Don't do this unless you have a lot of patience that is why I like this. Also at the being of the game you see Argumon but you never see War Greymon, Metal Greymon, or Greymon all Agumon does is run.

(More customer reviews)Firstly, this isn't really a game called Digimon World 6.This game is Digimon Story, translated into Digimon World DS.Chronologically, in America, it would be Digimon World 5.

To start things off, this is a really fun game.The premise is that you are a human who is brought to the digital world to raise digital monsters, or digimon.Throughout the game you can raise your digimon from Baby to Mega levels, even degenerating to make them more powerful.Furthermore, there is a training area, called a digi farm, where you can put your digimon to grow while you are out battling.

The game is an RPG.You gain levels and stats increase, allowing you to digivolve once certain requirements are met.You can also equip swords, shields, and accessories.

Pluses -

You can own over 200 digimon, and choose to make your favorites as powerful as they can be.

If you are a fan of the show, it's great to see your favorite digimon show up in the wild, be it Gabumon, Angemon, or even Myotismon.

North America is introduced to Digimon Savers, the new series running in Japan.There are many character that appear in the game that are from the series.

Negatives -

The game can be a bit glitchy.Some things may not load right away, and I once experienced the top screen, which holds the digi farm, turn black.This was remedied by entering the digi farm and talking to one of my digimon.

Some of the evolutions of the digimon aren't the same as the television series.Angewomon doesn't evolve into Magnadramon, Impmon doesn't evolve through to Beelzemon...Matadormon doesn't become Grandracmon and so on.It's not a bad thing, just a tad dissappointing to the die hard fans such as I.

All in all, Digimon World DS is a great game.It follows the RPG genre very well, creating an enthralling world for players.One warning though, just because you may be a Pokemon lover doesn't mean you will like this game.The style and speed of gameplay in both games are very different.

You should purchase this game if you are a fan of the Digimon series, the RPG genre, or are just looking for a fun game to put 30 plus hours into.

(More customer reviews)Digimon World 2 is so good I love it.It is so much better than Digimon World 1.In Digimon World 2 you do not need to worry about feeding your digimon or any of that.There are a lot more digimon than in the first and some of the digimons digivolutions are like the ones in the show. Instead being able to do anything you want like in the first game it is more controlled and more like a RPG.When you first start out you have Triceramon, Megaseadramon and Lillymon for your first quest. Then you get to pick a digimon of your choose by going to a different HQ like for Demi Devimon(The one I got) you go to Black Sword HQ, for Patamon you go to Blue Falcon HQ and for Agumon you go to Silver Cross HQ. And one of the many good things about this game is that you get to capture digimon. Thanks for hearing what I have to say.

(More customer reviews)This is definitely the best digimon game ever.When I first bought it I thought it would be easy.But it turned out to be challenging, which is what I prefer with video games.I also like the side quests for unlocking digivolutions and weapons.And the wide variety of weapons for your digimon is excellent.If you are a digimon fan, don't pass up your chance to buy this game.Digimon World 3 is also really good, but this is even better.

Digimon World: Dusk Review

(More customer reviews)Dusk Is part of a set of two games. The only real difference between the two is what specie are available so make sure you check which version you really want. The plot is typical follow an up and coming trainer as some unspeakable evil tries to conquer the world, but the real attraction here is the gameplay. Lovers of pokemon will be familiar with the party of critters battle system though the creation and abilities are a lot easier on Digimon and don't detract from the game. Farms have changed a bit, theme music and skins now make farms suited to one type or another.
Overall it's very much another version of digimon world for the DS, new species, slight improvements longer story. Not bad all in all though extremely young players may struggle with the aspects of monster raising as they're more complex than pokemon.
The verdict: Not bad, pick it up if you like this type of thing.

Digimon World Data Squad Review

(More customer reviews)I would love to have given this game a higher rating, I really would have.The graphics are actually pretty good and consistent with the style, the character design is well-done, the digievolution system is detailed (if a little frustrating at times), the skill and ability system is a lot of fun, the storyline is interesting, and renamon is in it (which is a plus in my book).

My only gripe: the voice acting.While it's not an issue with every character (a few of them are actually well done), the voices of Marcus and Agumon are just so grating and poorly done that I have to knock off one star.The other voice actors perform alright, with the rare good voice performance.Unfortunately, you hear Marcus and Agumon talk more than anyone else in the game.Why weren't the best talents reserved for the main character and his digimon?If any of the characters are going to outright suck, it should be the minor ones!

My recommendation: mute your tv and pretend it's one of the older digimon games with no VO.True, you miss out on the background music, while not astounding it's not outright terrible either.You can also provide your own BGM with an MP3 player.

Unlike the previous title for the DS, Dawn and Dusk make trading and the story in general much more interesting. No longer do you have to rely on friend codes to get Digi-Eggs, but it takes a lot of luck. And you grow at your own pace, taking placement exams to test your Tamer skills.
This game also introduces over 100 new Digimon, for nearly 400 in all, with a few exclusives to each title. Also new is DNA-Digivolve, a way to make powerful Digimon by fusing two, and improving existing ones.
If you are a fan of Digimon and own a DS, this will be the best thirty dollars you'll spend.
