This game is great if you like racing and blood and gore.In this game you can either use a controler,or the keyboard. There are 3 way of completing a level(each set is called a group)by killing all peds.,wasting all the cars,or going through all the check points(or lap)a certent amount of times. You have a lot of cars and when you get the right amount of credits you can the one you want, but only if you find it in the race your racing. You nave boxs and a type of barrel filled with either a power-up or something that happens to your car, peds.,or your oppenets. The red box has something to do with the people running around that you hit(be sure to get drunk peds. cause thats the funnest). The barrels have to do with your car.I don't know how many levels there are since I haven't completed it.You should try it.

Singularity Review

Singularity

I had a lot of fun with this game. Many people compared it with Bioshock. While the color pallet and some of the graphics look similar in style, for me the game felt completely different in atmosphere. It's very difficult nowadays to find a first person shooter that's totally original because they are so well established. So Singularity does seem to borrow elements from past shooters, but it does have it's own feel and style as well.

The ambient sounds were creepy and had me constantly looking over my shoulder.Monsters were interesting and the phasing back and forth between the present and the past added some tense moments. There's nothing like walking into a room full of soldiers frozen in the 50's then finding them phasing into the present and opening fire on you to test your skill.

I also like the fact that there was minimal cussing in this game.I'm not a big fan of games that over use foul language. For me a lot of cursing adds nothing to a game.

I do not like the current trend of the auto save versus being able to save when you want in PC games, so that was a big negative for me.It seems that everyone is going that route now though.Another negative for me was that the game was too short, another recent trend.Just when I was really getting into it, I was done.I guess it does say something positive for a game when you are disappointed that it's over.It does have some interesting multiplayer to extend your play time though. Those two cons kept this from being a 5 star game for me.

Overall I had a great time with this game and was glad I bought it.

In the dark, Cold War winter of 1949-50 Stalin, the brutal leader of theSoviet Union, had two super weapons: long range missiles and the atomicbomb. But even if his teams of forced labor managed to build a missile powerfulenough to carry an atomic payload, Stalin still faced encirclement by theUnited States and the Strategic Air Command. He knew that he needed anotheradvantage over the United States, one that would ensure Soviet securityand superiority. Then came the chance discovery on the remote island ofKatorga-12 off the wild Kamchatka peninsula, of a previously unknown material,Element 99 (E99). E99 became the new source of Stalin's hope: a new energysource of unparalleled power. Unfortunately, the new element also yieldeda new kind of contamination risk. But these were acceptable risks to Stalin- anything for the advancement of the Soviet people. Even so, on September21, 1950, driven to complete the project, and in violation of the safetyprotocols, a Russian scientist, Viktor Barisov, personally triggered a devicepowered by E99 that caused a catastrophic event that affected the entireisland. What happened next is unclear. However, there are reports that Stalin'sfinal dying order was a handwritten scrawl to quarantine Katorga-12. Andso the knowledge of the island remained buried...until 2010, when intelligencereports in the west confirm activity on a remote atoll in the Russian Federation'sshadow. The world has no memory of Katorga-12. No concept of what may beon the island off the southeast coast of Russia. It is deemed that the worldcan't afford another Chernobyl - or worse. America's answer is to scramblea stealth flyby of the area. They need recon - and they need it now.

Gameplay and Weapons
Action in Singularity is a mix of combat mission gameplay and puzzle-solving.Combat is against both modern and 50s era Russian forces, as well enemiesmutated through exposure to E99. In this players have their choice ofconventional weapons including: pistols, shotguns, machine guns, sniperrifles, rocket launchers, etc., as well as as few Sci-fi weapons veryspecific to the game. These include the TMD (Time Manipulation Device)and the E99 pistol. The TMD is a gauntlet, which players acquire earlyin the game that can be integrated with conventional weapons. Its mainfunction though relates it its ability to alter time within a small specificarea. The major examples of this are:

Reversion - The ability to alter encounters by rewinding the history of an item or entity to the time of your choosing. This can be used to repair broken items, render enemies harmlessly embryonic, etc.
Aging - The ability to alter encounters by fast-forwarding thehistory of objects or entities, rendering the former rusted and worn andthe latter decrepit with age or simply dust.
Stasis - The ability to freeze time and thus dangerous situations in order to gain an advantage.
Impulse - The ability to propel objects frozen in time in a targeteddirection.
Chronolite - Functionality that allows the player to look back to a time associated with a place, person or object.
Players can also utilize the TMD in conjunction with the E99 pistol, a gun thatshoots bullets infused with Element 99, to hit targets unreachable due todistance and otherwise indestructible cover. In addition, to the TMD's combatuses, it is also indispensable as a tool for solving the spatial-orientedand other types of puzzles that players will face on the island of Katorga-12.

Multiplayer
Singularity contains multiplayer gameplay options, that just as in its single player campaign, integrate conventional combat tactics and weapons with the time manipulation elements.

Key Features

An engrossing storyline blending Cold War history and science fiction elements.
An arsenal of first-person weapons, including conventional firearms and upgradeable, time altering gadgets.
    Mission progressing puzzle-solving gameplay.
Advanced graphics built on the Unreal 3 game engine.
    Multiplayer gameplay options.

Fallout 3 Review

Fallout 3
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Fallout 3 only appears to use the disc validation aspects of SecuROM 7.36.0006. I used System Mechanic to perform some "before and after" system scans to ensure nothing sinister was happening with the install. All I could find was the usual license and CD / DVD entries in the Registry. There were no activations or installation hiccups. The installation does take quite some time though, so I advise people to de-clutter and defrag before they install.

I don't want to issue any spoilers, but what I will say is that the graphics are revolutionary! The world feels very immersing and the character interactions are very realistic. The controls are very similar to Oblivion too, so it wasn't hard to dive in. The game is very, very polished and when you exit Vault 101 for the first time, the scenery that greets you is astounding! You can see objects in full clarity right out to the horizon and the environment looks very much like a post-apocalyptic wasteland, albeit under a very gray palette. I maxed out the in-game detail settings and my single slot GeForce 8800GTS (G92) 512MB handled it perfectly. This is first class!

My biggest gripe with DRM is limited activations, which also infer spying on your machine. This game does indeed use the "evil" SecuROM, but it's just the usual SecuROM disc-checking that we have in tonnes of games prior to this. There are NO LIMITED ACTIVATIONS. I'm a big anti-DRM person, just look at my posts for Spore, but this, in my opinion, is an acceptable use of DRM and I recommend people get the game.

Risen Review

Risen
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'll admit it, I expected this game to be a bust. After the travesty that was Gothic 3, I had little hope for any product Piranha Bytes put out.But I was dead wrong. This game is vastly superior to Gothic 3, and is comparable to the original two Gothic games, which is just about the highest praise that it could be given. It is a shame that Piranha Bytes did such a horrendous job with Gothic 3 and lost the right to the Gothic franchise to Jowood (their publisher), but it seems that the kick in the pants put them back on the right track.

Just to set the record straight, this game is nothing but a shameless rip-off of the previous Gothic games. And I mean shameless. The world looks exactly the same, the enemies are all the same, the towns look the same, the atmosphere is the same, etc.The scavengers are back as "sea vultures," the goblins are back as gnomes, the bloodflies are back as "grave moths," the boars are back, the pickable plants are all back, the dock in town was lifted right out of Gothic 2, the chapter system is in place again, etc. There are three camps once again, and they are the same three camps; the rogues who live in a swamp, the town who works for the Order, and the monastery. The Risen title is in the same distinctive font as the previous Gothic titles. There's even an abandoned lighthouse manned by a fellow named Jack again, for goodness' sake!Either the developers are completely out of ideas and recycled everything from their previous games or (as I think more likely) this was originally meant to be a sequel to the Gothic series, but when they lost the rights they just changed the names around.I can't stress enough how similar this is to Gothic, which in my mind is a very good thing, as I rank Gothic 1 and 2 among the greatest games ever created.

As far as gameplay goes, it is relatively smooth. There are some bugs (such as randomly teleporting to the roof of a house when you attempt to sneak in the doorway, or getting stuck in zoomed-in mode after using the crossbow zoom function), but they aren't game-breaking and are quite rare. The combat is something of a cross between Gothic 2 and Gothic 3 combat. It's a lot of button mashing until you get the hang of it, but once you do it has the rhythmic quality present in Gothic 2 that I loved.Your character has the unfortunate tendency to continue to attack after you stop hitting the buttons, which leads to opening yourself up for an enemy attack or smashing one of your allies in the face, which is very annoying, though it doesn't happen all the time.It is certainly better that the atrocious combat system from Gothic 3.And, unlike previous Gothic games, you can block animals, which is handy.Combat certainly isn't easy, though.I frequently have to flee from opponents too strong for me to face, and I get beat up or die constantly. There's none of that pansy scaled leveling that many other RPGs have, where your enemies strength is relative to your own so that you can do anything at any time.In this game you just can't go to certain areas until you are a high enough level, and there are some enemies you just have to flee from until you level up enough to take them on.I like that in a game; I don't want things handed to me.There's a certain degree of satisfaction when you can finally stand and face the ghoul you've been fleeing from the past ten hours of gameplay.

The world itself is very large, though smaller than previous Gothic games.I'd say it's about the same size as the Gothic 2 main area (not including the Gothic 1 area you fight the dragons in or the Night of the Raven expansion area), and it takes forever to explore.Like in previous Gothic games, exploring is rewarded, and you'll find all sorts of interesting and useful things in random locations in the wild. The world looks like Gothic 2 created using the Gothic 3 engine. While it looks very pleasant, it also looks outdated. It certainly isn't as pretty as other current games. However, in an RPG people are looking for content more that graphical superiority, and Risen's defects are more than outweighed by its strengths. The storyline is good, though it will be the massive amount of characters and sidequests that really get your attention. There are an incredible number of unique characters who all play some part in some quest or another (and from what I can tell they all have their own voice actors, unlike the previous Gothic games where you could tell several characters were voiced by the same person). The sheer scope of the game world is incredible. It's a bit shorter than previous Gothic games, which took a good 50+ hours to finish. This one takes around 30 hours, but it has a very high replay value since the entire game will be different depending on which camp you join.If this game is at all successful, I expect to see an expansion similar to Night of the Raven being released, as it could be very easily fit in to pad out the game length.

This is one of the best RPGs I've ever played, and while it isn't quite as good as the original Gothic games, it comes closer than any other RPGs I've played.Piranha Bytes clearly hasn't lost their touch. The few small problems (a few bugs, twitchy camera, etc.) are no more than minor annoyances.I only wish they hadn't messed up Gothic 3, so that we could be playing this game with all the original Gothic characters.

Broken Steel does for Fallout 3 what the Extended Editions did for Lord of the Rings: by adding more and deeper content it makes you care more and feel like things have properly been resolved. Plus, after the dramatic, explosion-packed finale, you get to play on as long as you like with a raised level cap.

Point Lookout adds a huge swampy area for you too look around with plenty to see and do. The quest is fun and interesting and there are some great characters and locations. It's a great Fallout add-on, but those who enjoyed Bethesda's Shivering Isles and Morrowind will enjoy the landscape too.
