Mah Jong Garden - POGO Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This game is terrific for those who like Mah Jong, but get tired of the same old graphics. The serene settings and charming tile graphics/animations really make this game a treat.Includes traditional solitaire Mah Jong, plus two variations:One which adds free cells to the game--fascinating--and one which reorients the tiles periodically--a cute idea, but too gimmicky.Really good music, too.The best Mah Jong game I've played so far!

Mah Jong Quest Expeditions Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have a number of downloads and versions of this game, but love my Nintendo DS and thought this would be a great addition. The game itself is enjoyable, but the graphics are terrible. Very tiny and you have to spend all your time trying to really keep a focus on the tiles. There is no way that I can find to change the style of the tiles and that is also disappointing.

So overall if you don't care about the clarity of what you are spending tons of time looking at then good game. On a scale of 1-10 the graphics are about a 2.

Mahjongg Memoirs JC Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)What makes this mahjong game stand out from all the others is the wonderful voice-acting as a very dramatic story of romance and tragedy unfolds during the game.By clearing boards of majong tiles, ( matching them, in typical majong game style).., you uncover old envelopes containing love letters written between a young woman of privilege and a young man from a lower class family. The letters are read out loud in the game by excellent voice actors who portray the depth of feeling they have for each other, it's very well done.Their difference in societal class, and ultimately a war , keeps them apart, and you follow the whole story through the letters.

If you don't care for the drama and story, the game itself is well done simply as a mahjong game. There are dozens of variations of tile layouts and 5 tile sets to choose from. Also there are various musical scores you can select. Also, you can win trophies in the game for speed and for meeting "target" goals such as clearing certain types of tiles in succession. If you don't feel like playing for a challenge you can just relax and clear the boards at your own pace, enjoying the beautiful animated Japanese backgrounds.

This game worked perfectly on my Windows XP computer. It should have no problem working on any XP , Vista or Windows 7 system.
