(More customer reviews)I have been playing ToonTown Online for close to 2 years now. A co-worker got me hooked on it after her child got her hooked on it after seeing a commerical for it on The Disney Channel. Yes, it is an online game (hence the name ToonTown Online) and it very specifically indicates on the packaging that a recurring fee is necessary to play it after the initial 2 month game time has expired.The game is downloadable from the ToonTown website and the retail version is NOT a necessity to have. The game is a HUGE download and the CD is great to have if you have dial-up internet access like I do.

As for play value, it is great.I have 2 active toons (you can have 6) on my account that I play on a regular basis.Yes, it is geared towards kids but many of the players I encounter are adults that were hooked by their children.It is safe for kids as there are pre-made phrases that you use for your toon to communicate with other toons.There is the option for real-life players to "code" with each other so they can speak freely with each other.Even with the free speech being available, it is heavily filtered for bad language.I have tested many different "bad" words in various spellings and even inserted spaces and other characters to attempt to get it to let it come across but it won't.Kudos to Disney for being proactive in anticipating what lengths some people will go to spoil kid fun.
The concept of the game is not different than any other MMOG like EverQuest, Final Fantasy etc.You are given quests to complete for jellybeans (money), gags (weapons) and laff boosts (strength). The only difference is that this game is designed for children.

It is well worth the $10 a month and the game is always expanding. Since I have been playing there have been 2 major updates and a 3rd is scheduled for sometime in April or May, giving toons an additional neighborhood/Cog HQ to play in with new tasks and rewards.

(More customer reviews)First of all, if I could, I would give this game a 4 1/2 star rating.If your looking for a space sim game that has good graphics and game play this is the one for you.One thing I happily discovered was the range of skill levels.If you're a [not-so-skilled] gamer that can never manage to win a game without cheat codes, this is a great game.If you're a skilled gamer who is looking for a challenge this is still the game to buy.
Another cool thing about this game is the fact that you aren't a one man army.Your wingmen are actually a great resourse.You can tell them what to doand they'll actually do it.
The variety from mission to mission is also excellent.In some missions your job is to destroy the enemy, in some it's to escort ships, in some it's to spy on the enemy etc.
The graphics are sweet too.This is an old game but you can't tell by the graphics.
You can choose between 5 or 6 ships to fly on different missions andyou can customise them with different weapons.
This game is at an increadible value... It is deffinately worth buying.

Gardening Mama Review

(More customer reviews)I got this game since I previously played Cooking Mama and Cooking Mama 2 (Dinner With Friends) and I was very excited about it. Now I've played it a few times, I'm very happy to have gotten it. With this game if you have previously played either of the Cooking Mama games, then you'll probably have an idea of what to expect. The format isn't greatly different from them, it's still very easy to pick up and figure out.

What I love about these games are, kids can have so much fun with them but an adult can also have a go too. Some of the task may be a little easy for an adult but some may not be (especially if you're going for gold).

If you haven't played any of the Cooking Mama games, then the style of the game is a little something like this, your goal is to plant something, such as a tulip but its broken down intostages, seeding, digging a hole, and so on. Theres nice obvious instructions on what to do for each task that needs to be done in order to plant something. There is also directions for you to follow, which is very helpful. My cousin loves this game too as it gives her an idea of how to garden, in a fun way. :D

Puzzle Quest 2 Review

(More customer reviews)Preface:I played Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords on PSP from start to finish, and I loved it.I couldn't put it down.I was hooked.I saw little colored gems matching up when I shut my eyes.I consider it one of the best games available.I also played PQ: Galactrix on Nintendo DS from start to finish.It was a painful experience that I don't wish to speak of any further.

Quick Impression of PQ2

Loved:The game sticks to the match 3/4/5 with hybrid RPG elements style of Puzzle Quest 1.It's not like Galactrix.New classes with emphasis on different play styles.Fun minigames that don't interfere with progression.Deeper character customization.No loading times.Silky smooth autosave that doesn't interrupt the flow of the game.Spot-on touch screen controls.Just as addictive as PQ1, if not more so!

Hated:No d-pad or button support.Would like to take a break from using the stylus sometimes.Boring music, not as catchy as PQ1.Subpar audio quality.Sparse but unnecessary voice acting.Difficult to focus on what is happening on top screen while matching gems on the bottom.Would have preferred this game to be released on PSP (if you played PQ1 on PSP, you know what I'm talking about).So addictive, I'm getting carpal tunnel syndrome again.

Bottom line:A must-have for any puzzle/RPG fan, and well worth the price of admission for those who are doubting the price point.You'll get dozens if not hundreds of hours of playtime with great replay value, all in a portable format that goes with you anywhere.Just don't get so addicted that you stop showing up for work.
