(More customer reviews)If you enjoyed the original Blitzkrieg PC game, you will probably find Burning Horizons to be even better.You can play a German campaign which encompasses all the actions that Erwin Rommel was involved in, which is a lot of fun.It is much different than the original game that had only 3 or so mission variations.In this campaign, there is a lot of variety in mission goals and execution, with each one being different from the one before.It really makes the game a lot more interesting, as you never really know what to expect.In addition, you can win medals for especially valiant actions on the field; for instance, some of my infantry won the Iron Cross for stopping a tank assault with only some captured howitzers.Besides the campaign, there is also a collection of single-player missions which range in complexity and difficulty.You can now play in areas as diverse as Norway, the Pacific, Ethiopia, and Singapore.There seems to be more of an emphasis on air power in this game as well.It can really make a big difference early on in the game.Overall, if you liked the first game, you will probably love this one.It is not nearly as repetitive as the original, and is much more fun.A down side is the fact that you only have the German campaign, there are no Allied or Russian variants to compliment it, but it is made up for by the list of single-player missions that you can explore.Highly recommended.

Sim City 4: Rush Hour Expansion Pack Review

(More customer reviews)Rush Hour is a very good addendum to the already great SimCity 4.With it, you wil have more options to build your perfect and more realistic city.The addition of a new category of building type (Euro-Contemporary) adds variety to all your cities and new rewards and landmarks adds a great deal more visual interest.There are also more options for customizing your city, such as a greater variety in size of schools, police departments, fire departments, and recreational areas.If you crave a little action now and again, the U-drive it missions will also be of some interest to you.

Some things to keep in mind:

1)My computer exceeds all of the system requirements and the basic SimCity 4 ran fine on it.But Rush Hour made the scrolling action very choppy.If this happens to you, contact Aspyr tech support and see if you can get a replacement file entitled:"graphics rules.sgr."This solved my problem and the game runs smoothly now.

2)The code of your SimCity 4 will be slightly altered.If you have existing cities, be prepared for explosive growth after installing Rush Hour and possibly a massive deficit.You might need to greatly restructure some of your existing cities to become solvent again.In one large city, I went from breaking even in taxes to a $8000 deficit in a few months.Try to build up your funds to the millions before installing Rush Hour by running a surplus for many years so you have time to make your changes.

3)Rush Hour doesn't sound as good.Inexplicably, many sound effects, such as the destruction of buildings and roads have been virtually eliminated.I preferred the old sound effects.

Despite the nit-picking, Rush Hour is definitely a worthy purchase and makes a fun game even more so.Just be sure to prepare your cities properly before installing.

Saitek Eclipse II Keyboard (PK02AU) Review

(More customer reviews)Highly recommended, and the price on Amazon is more reasonable than many brick & mortar stores too. This keyboard has wonderful keys that are neither too springy nor too soft, great for typing, and great for games too. It's a pretty sturdy piece of kit too, and requires no extra drivers. So, of course it's main 'selling factor' is that it offers three different illumination colors - blue, red, and purple - and these can be dimmed or brightened. Worth noting is that the areas around the keys and the keys themselves are lit, so perfect for a darker environment. I like the blue color best, but that's probably the darkest, but I still find it's illuminated adequately. The purple color really shines though, and there's side strips that light up your desktop too. Very blingin'? Yes, for sure. Overkill? Perhaps, but I don't think this keyboard looks too tacky, in fact I've found it super useful to have a comfortable and durable keyboard for those late night gaming sessions.

Rhapsody, A Musical Adventure Review

(More customer reviews)This lighthearted, charming RPG has lots of appeal for preteen and teenage girls because the main character is a sixteen-year-old girl named Cornet. The heroine of this story, Cornet dreams of meeting and falling in love with a handsome prince. One day in the woods, she is rescued from an evil witch's cronies by a young man who turns out to be Ferdinand, prince of the kingdom she lives in and heir to the throne. Ferdinand will soon turn eighteen, and is looking for a bride. He and Cornet soon begin to fall in love, but Ferdinand is then kidnapped by the evil witch. The rest of the game follows Cornet's quest to find and save Ferdinand. Although the game was rather short (it only took me ten hours to complete) it was just so fun that I didn't mind. The songs were really cute. I hope Atlus decides to bring the other two games in this series to America. I'd certainly buy them the day they came out. Rhapsody's no Final Fantasy, but it's definitley an enjoyable game that I'd highly reccomend.

Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun Expansion Pack: Firestorm Review

(More customer reviews)When I bought Firestorm I was expecting a normal expansion pack - few new units, maps etc. But once I started playing I realized that there was much more to it than that.
The biggest improvment over Tiberian Sun isstory. The story is much more interesting and although the in game moviessuck it dosen't matter because most of the plot twists are in-game anyways.Special units have been created just for one part in the story, such as ahuge robot, which is a nice touch.
Although the music is being soldas faster paced and more like Red Alert it's pretty much more of the same.Graphics also don't change too much.
The new units are pretty coolbut the Reaper is the only one that I really liked, unfortunatly you canonly use it in Multiplayer. The new Juggernaut artilery unit is alright butit can't really aim that well and the Nod Art. unit is still superior in mymind.
All in all Firestorm makes Tiberian Sun a much better game andif you already have TS then by all means buy Firestorm.
